So …What about Cuba?

As everyone is talking about this latest debate, I can’t even keep track of all of them anymore, let me go back to the last debate that was actually on broadcast TV Monday, though I couldn’t find it because it was not clearly listed in the TV schedule.

Yes, healthcare is important and I hope Santorum gets a boost from his powerful statements at the most recent debate. He begins to express something that is sorely lacking in our political world, a correct vision that expands beyond the immediate.

When Ronald Reagan called the communist world an evil empire he inspired the hearts and minds of this nation. He said, yes we are good and the cold war, the investment not only for our own defense but in defense of the free world is a good and noble cause. And how can a nation blessed such as ours claim we have no responsibility to share and expand those same blessings to our fellow man?

Sugar? Cain sugar versus beet sugar? A crucial debate. When I think sugar I think big corn; corn syrup and ethanol. Corn syrup is in everything. Even honey from KFC is no longer real but made of corn syrup. And much of the world’s cane sugar is used to produce ethanol in Brazil even though ethanol is harmful to our environment if you believe in global warming and/or the dangers of greenhouse gases.

Corn syrup is not the same as sugar as the corn lobby advertises. Talk to a beekeeper. I kept bees myself when I was financially better off than now. And in the corn lobbies fervor to sell their product,an effort that cannot be criticized, they pushed beekeepers to use corn syrup to help their bees survive through the Winter.

Often more honey is removed from a hive than the bees need to survive the Winter. In that case they are fed sugar water; cane or beet didn’t seem to make a difference. But corn syrup was quickly rejected as a sugar alternative by the vast majority of beekeepers because there was a significant difference as far as the bees were concerned. It was detrimental to the hive. The bees know.

But the debate moderator decided that the issue for Florida, a sugar producer, was not sugar versus corn syrup, but cane sugar versus beet sugar. And we all have to take the moderators perceptions of what’s important as Gospel. Perhaps if the government promoted cane sugar over corn syrup in our food, if the truth be told of corn syrup, the government would not need to provide a subsidy. It wouldn’t surprise me if we drink enough soda to take up all the excess sugar from Brazil, if they should stop destroying our environment by producing ethanol from cane sugar; an inferior weaker fuel.

But our politicians let the media define the issues. Our republican politicians, like puppets on a string, hand sound bites over to their adversaries, not just the democrats but the media, and pander to that enemy’s constructs as the world burns. Do you know a Syrian free military is taking a stand against the Assad government in Syria? Torture is wide spread among the militias in Libya. Will Islamic radicals gain control of the Arab Spring nations? Do you know China is on the precipice of their own housing crisis that could collapse their economy. Aren’t they supposed to bail us out when our debt becomes insurmountable?

So everyone dropped the ball sugar. Not the most important of issues in light of the fore mentioned developments around the world, though the future may uncover unending health problems attributed to corn syrup in our diet.

And just like sugar the candidates were drawn into useless hypothetical arguments on Cuba and Fidel Castro.

Cuba is turning little by little towards a free market capitalist system. And Cuba and Fidel Castro have been historically important issues in Florida. So why such a vapid debate over Cuba and Castro based on useless hypotheticals? Has the world, at least according to the media, decided communism is the superior system?

Cuba is all too ripe to be reclaimed by the free world. Have we lost sight of the value of freedom and what the United States has to offer the world?

Some months ago I listened to a BBC World Service report on the Cuban government. The gist of the story was, the communist leaders are all over seventy years old, dying or unable to continue in their posts, and they prepared no one to take the reigns after them.

So …our candidates didn’t know this, think about it or do their homework on Cuba before the debates in …Florida? As Cubans, still suffering serious human rights abuses, gain more freedoms to own land and control their own businesses you would think some one like Mitt Romney with his experience with Bain Capital would be chomping at the bit with ideas on how to reform Cuba. You would think someone would take a stand with strong statements to bring freedom to Cuba as the entire communist leadership is dying or losing the capabilities to rule. This would not be endorsing the Castro regime as some Cuban Americans might accuse, the Castro regime is soon to be no more through the most natural of processes; the circle of life.

And as China develops ties with Central and South America a policy to advance capitalism and prosperity to our most important neighbors might be in order. Cuba is letting the Chinese take our oil from the gulf right under our noses while we are restricted from drilling offshore. Drilling off the Florida coast isn’t an issue for Florida? What if Cuba were China?!! If we don’t act Cuba could become part of China.

Our own hemisphere can be worked to defeat China in the struggle for economic superiority. Lets not let the Chinese imperialists rape our neighbors of their natural resources in destructive fashion, shipping everything off to promote their own industry as they are beginning to do in Afghanistan, but let us spread clean mining, something we exceed in, and give our neighbors their own ability to produce, while growing our own manufacturing economy.

Yes, imperialism is capitalism run a muck; when industrialized nations feed off undeveloped nations. A truly equitable economic system comes not from redistributing wealth but from evenly distributing opportunity for all mankind; the ability to produce.

All this is the kind of vision Americans are looking for, that Americans understand because they are not polluted by the beltway culture so concerned over what the media perceives to be true. Not polluted by the self indulgent political class that has fallen completely out of touch with the people. We need leaders that are not led but can lead with a correct understanding of right. That was the strength of Ronald Reagan, not any set of specific policies.

This is the kind of vision we want our candidates to project. Not simply that we can succeed if left to our own devices, free of government restrictions, but that we are a good people that are making positive contributions to the rest of the world; that we are the good guys.

Iowa, It’s Just Plain un-American

Everyone is speculating on Iowa and the results of the upcoming republican caucuses. And while it is true the winner of Iowa is far from guaranteed to win the nomination, a victory translates into campaign dollars and an untold value in free advertising. And a poor result by any candidate will most likely be an end to their campaign.

When founding this nation our founding fathers created a balance between the House of Representatives and the Senate to ensure that the interests of more populous states do not outweigh the interest of more rural states. That is why one house represents each state per weight of their population and one house gives equal weight to each state no matter how small.

And in our primary system it is right to start out with a number of smaller states first, so a single candidate does not bury their opposition with the results from a single large state such as New York. But should the first state always be Iowa? Yes, they don’t determine the candidate but may I suggest perceptions weigh more here than reality. Who in politics can afford to ignore or oppose the interests of Iowa?

I do not believe it is by coincidence that many Insurance companies have headquarters in Iowa. What better way to protect their interests? And this is a problem? A sign of how deep special interests and big government have dominated our lives as, even in Paul Ryan’s plans for reforming medicare and medicaid, health care is all about insurance policies. What happened to the days when insurance was for catastrophic events and people paid out of pocket for their routine medical expenses? How much does the processing of claims add to our medical costs? Is their any candidate that doesn’t suggest all healthcare to be insurance based?

And then there is corn. Ethanol decrease fuel economy so there is no savings in fuel burned, and it produces greenhouse gases in its production and distribution. Its existence is a complete contradiction to its supposed purpose, yet subsidies continue and its use is still mandated. Of course Iowa is the leading corn state but not the only one.

And then there is corn syrup. We drank a lot of soda when we were kids and it all contained cane sugar. Yes, maybe we were more active but I don’t think that explains the obesity issue young people face today. Corn syrup is not a natural product produced through basic processes such as drying, grinding and pressing. It takes days to cook with the help of sulfuric acid to produce. If our diets suffer from anything it is the complicated processing processes that alter our food.

And there is plenty of sugar, they are using it for fuel in Brazil where they have recently discovered massive oil reserves, and that is just offshore. Honestly, oil seems to be just about everywhere in great abundance. But we are not considering importing sugar from Brazil but ethanol. And ethanol is just as bad a fuel in Brazil as it is here.

And all this, ethanol and replacing all sweeteners with corn syrup (read the labels!), drives up the price of corn and alters what crops are produced, not only here but around the world. This makes all our food prices rise with disastrous effects in poorer nations. Food riots are becoming common place and fathom still strikes poorer populations. And of course rising food and energy prices are not part of the inflation equation.

When we look at the checks and balances our founding fathers placed in our system of government is it wrong to say the primary system our parties have created are un-American? When other states tried to schedule their primaries before Iowa, Iowa continued to push theirs up earlier and earlier, determined to keep the first spot. how can you scream special interest, un-American any louder?

Yes smaller and midsized states should dominate early primaries but not the same ones each election cycle.

Ron Paul

How old is Ron Paul now? It seems he has been running around making trouble for republicans forever. And we need to make trouble for some republicans, those big government types to whom politics is a profession and government the solution.

But he’s not a republican. He’s not a conservative. He’s a libertarian.

If Ron Paul and his libertarian types were to establish their own nation and all leave,the entire 5% of them, another 5% of this nation would magically become just like them. This libertarian strain, this isolationist vein is ingrained in the spirit of this nation.

I am sure Ron Paul types played important parts in the birth and founding of our nation. And we have always had isolationists who believed we should retreat from the rest of the world. Some might call it xenophobia. Charles Lindbergh was an America First isolationist, standing firm against the United States entering the Second World War.

And the Ron Paul types have strong analytical skills. They see associations that maybe we all should be making. They easily understand the relationship of the words of our Constitution and what they were meant to convey, and even more importantly why they were written as they were written. They understand the Constitution’s value.

Some of Ron Paul’s ideas have been considered wacky. His monetary policy was considered lunacy but now many claim he was right all along. They believe his policies on the Federal reserve to be spot on and would eventually turn this country around.

Yet many other associations Ron Paul and those like him make are just plain goofy, period. His isolationist foreign policy is backward and would be detrimental not only to the United States but the entire world. We cannot allow Iran to build a nuclear arsenal. They will use it against Israel and the United states either directly or indirectly. We cannot close our bases around the world and stay secure. And where we should not guarantee foreign aid year after year to nations who then have no ongoing incentive to be our friends, I don’t believe Ron Paul would help any nation. I could go on about the fallacies and dangers of his foreign policies but they are self evident.

And this is the problem with Ron Paul and all isolationists. They are cold calculating and their empathy for others extends only to those in their immediate circle. Look how easily Ron Paul can go on the Tonight Show and nonchalantly accuse other candidates, supposedly in his same party, of being haters.

Ron Paul doesn’t care about the republican party and he doesn’t truly even care about this nation. He is on the verge of doing well in Iowa and possibly other early primaries. The problem is he will not win the nomination and then will take his popularity as a justification to run on a third party ticket, …because he does not truly care about this nation. His third party run would only hurt the republican ticket. I can only hope that a third, or possibly fourth, party run by Donald Trump would draw from the democratic base.

But there is a productive option. Make it a three person ticket. That is, if we can truly get a conservative on the ticket, our candidate needs to not only to choose a vice presidential candidate but to declare that he or she will nominate Ron Paul to run the Federal Reserve. This could keep him from running as a third party candidate.

But more importantly declaring Ron Paul as a potential head of the Federal Reserve turns the focus back to congressional races. The Senate would have to approve his appointment. The makeup of the Senate would become an issue. Congressional races would become an issue.

The numerous presidential debates have taken the focus off congressional races. The tea party has had its greatest victories in the congress. Victories I am sure the big government types do not want to see continue. Ron Johnson from my state of Wisconsin has challenged the power structure of the Senate as a freshman member. Other freshman tea party members are making a stir themselves.

Over the last …six months? I have heard only a few comments on the many quality truly conservative tea party types running for congressional seats. Yes, only a few comments and maybe they were all six months ago.

The presidential debates continue to be used as a tool of the big government types to try to shape the 2012 elections. They would love Ron Paul to run as a third party candidate and that may be why he is supposedly rising in the polls. They would love Mitt Romney to be the republican candidate. And they certainly don’t want any more shake ups in congress with more tea party types winning elections.

Do they want Obama to be reelected? Does Ron Paul want Obama to be reelected? As long as he can get his 5%.

Merry Christmas

It has been a very tranquil and quiet Christmas and the season has just begun. I hope all can find productive reflections in these next twelve days. A time of Peace and goodwill fostered through Christ and the Christian traditions and institutions built around the Holy Day. Maybe the traditions are not all perfect, especially in an overly material culture,but that is a reflection on us.

We heard a lot about Black Friday and the supposed renewed confidence in the economy the suggested sales numbers inferred. But like all numbers put out by our government these days, they appear more suggestion than reality. The real numbers always seem to be revised to the negative at a later date. It makes one wonder if even those numbers are accurate, or if this recession isn’t what I have labeled in the past the Obama depression.

But the lack of Christmas shopping traffic jams, the easy task of finding a parking spot at any mall at any time of the day or week, and the ability to walk the malls without bumping into someone every few steps contributed to the tranquility of the season. I am sure the report on the December sales numbers we receive from our government will emphasize extreme expansion of Internet sales.

And soon after this Christmas season ends we will be in the heat of the primaries to nominate a presidential candidate for the republican party. So …what of our economy? Adam Smith correctly identified the pursuit of self interest as essential in creating a free and prosperous economy for all. But in that self interest is an inherent understanding that ones prosperity helps all and others prosperity contributes to the prosperity of oneself.

One might create a metaphor with birthdays. One may look forward to ones birthday, if one has lived a good productive life in relation to others, for the gifts or gratitude one might receive from others through their recognition of their coming into the world. It can be a joyful, maybe humbling day.

But is one’s birthday nearly as enjoyable or humbling as Christmas. A time when we celebrate the birth of Christ and not only receive gifts but give gifts. That, with the spiritual truth and reality of Christ and what he has done for our lives and society, a society built around Christian culture and institutions, we find a deeper meaning and significance in everything.

What I want to say is that man is a spiritual being. That religion is not just superstition as atheistic materialist want to define it. And that the spirit somehow magnified in this most special of times touches the hearts of most everyone. In the same way, the understanding of the relationship between one’s self interest and mutual prosperity in our economic dealings is something productive is open to most.

But the left wants to portray all profit or prosperity, any expression od self interest by others, as greed. Every economic activity in their sorry view is taking, not giving. Only government can save man from his inherent selfish nature. Government must take what’s been taken to be fair.

But it is man’s spiritual pursuits that have brought liberty and freedom. Man’s spiritual pursuits that have produced a free marketplace of ideas as well as material. Freedom, liberty and prosperity are inalienable rights that come from God and cannot be planned or dictated by man. As our founding fathers realized and tried to institutionalize.

It does not require any deep saintly attributes to understand that producing the best product possible for one’s customer, based on one’s self interest to prosper, brings a deep satisfaction to one’s customer and then in turn, by investing one’s own resources in favor of those who strive to produce the best in their own field builds a greater society for the benefit of all. That keeping one’s own employees happy and prosperous does the same, creating more people who can afford and purchase one’s product.

Conservatives understand the spiritual reality and stand against the socialist agenda President Obama is promoting. But great Christian thinkers have proposed socialist ideals themselves. But these ideals are in some way only theoretical. They require that man as a whole achieve a more saintly standard, have a deeper relationship with God and correspondingly with their fellow man than currently exists.

But conservatives do believe in a safety net; that man at times needs to help their fellow man. What they don’t believe in is denying man his spiritual dignity by suggesting one is nothing outside of what the government defines them to be; that they have no rights or duties beyond those given to them by their government.

People are open to socialist ideas. And, if the candidates want to take my advice, where conservatives believe everyone should be paying taxes they are not opposed to reasonable progressive tax rates. In an ideal world we would be living something closer to a socialist system. But that world will develop along with liberty and freedom as man evolves in his relation with God. It cannot be forced, counterfeited or dictated. And …could be accomplished best under a very limited government. There is currently no greater den of inequity than government.

Purges

I am far from the only one to ask the following questions. I have heard others talk about how the political establishment is working to preserve the big government status quo. But let me share my observations and insights for what they are worth.

Have there ever been so many presidential candidate debates so early in the past? Most of the debates have been only available on cable or satellite requiring most of the population to hear about them through the tinted lenses of the mainstream media. And many of the moderators have been from the same left leaning talking heads.

Considering this, and President Obama’s statement that they will use these debates against his opposition, one must marvel at the resources secured under the big government agenda players. This big government movement is the only truly bipartisan effort in our nation if one excludes conservative republicans. They have massive government resources at their disposal as well as the majority of media resources all working under the guise that government can solve all our problems.

But what all are covering their eyes, ears and mouths to is the revelation, so clearly proclaimed through the Obama presidency, that this is part and parcel of the socialist/communist agenda. A worldview that considers all other views evil and the enemy.

Anyone of clear mind watching president Obama’s interview on “60 Minutes” last night had to conclude the man delusional. But it is not his delusion, it is the socialist delusion akin to parental alienation. Parental alienation that I’ve heard described as the closest thing to true brainwashing that exists. It is all part of the process of accusing, vilifying ones competition, to such a degree of emotional fervor that reason and compassion are no longer required. Right is in the might of the stand against perceived wrongs, no matter how unfounded. It is a self consuming ideology that leads to discontent, hate and ultimately violence.

Most dangerous in all this is that the socialist, or rather communist, cause has been systematized in communist theory and action plans. The leftists of the democrat party are following a plan designed to overthrow our country. Nothing will be spared in their effort to re-elect Obama. It may come down to the point where we must choose between re-electing Obama or face nationwide riots such as those recently experienced in London. What would become of our elections if they were consumed in street violence? Who would declare victory?

I believe the re-election of Obama will be the end to this country as we know it. And after his re-election say goodbye to our Constitution completely. Hello to the Hugo Chavez of the United states. The dry run has already been completed and the world stands by and does nothing in regards to Venezuela. Obama will declare his third term in violation of the Constitution. Though we may have an election will the evil conservatives and republican party have any legal standing to put forth a candidate? All the class warfare and attacks on any opposition are for what ends? Most all communist nations have/had “democratic” in their titles and held elections. But the people had only one choice.

Obama has been played up in the same light as all the great dictators of the socialist cause. He appears to have no personal history, creating an aura of the divine, of being beyond comprehension, our savior. He can do no wrong. He proclaimed himself yesterday as being persistent, working hard for the people throughout his political career, though present seemed to be his vote of choice in Illinois and his United States senate term consisted of campaigning for his current office. A true figurehead that must always be right for the delusion to be maintained.

And all this could come to pass with the help of millions who have no real intent to see a socialist state established. But this has been the M.O. for communist take overs from the beginning. And what happens to all those who suddenly realize they made a mistake and try to step back from the cliff?

When we hear or read some lefty commentator, such as though getting a thrill up their leg, we on the right may often comment that when the communists take over they will be the first to go. But who are the first to go? Is it a small assortment of journalists who were for the cause but then changed their tune? Is it those who were always opposed to the socialist agenda? And what of those in government who after decades of having cause to impeach their political opponents suddenly try to act against the tyranny after it is to late?

Let us look at history. Communist regimes have always been associated with purges. And the death count of a typical purge does not rest in the hundreds, the thousands or even the tens of thousands. They run into the hundreds of thousands and millions, even the tens of millions.

All in opposition face imprisonment or worse. Then their families, and then anyone who knew them, and then anyone who might start protesting or asking questions such as “What happened to this person?” or “Why was this person arrested?” or “Where were those people sent?” The roundup continues until all voices are silenced through fear or other means.

You think this nonsense? What kind of crimes are the democrats getting away with now (or in the past) that the media will not even whimper at? “Fast and Furious” was a grossly incompetent plan to some, but designed to be a brilliant undermining of our Constitution; the second amendment. How about the release of our military secrets to our enemies from the time of Bill Clinton to the present, if not longer? Why wasn’t that drone recovered by the Iranians not destroyed? How was it even collected in such pristine condition?

Here in Wisconsin we have put a leading republican in prison and they are trying to attack our republican governor for using government offices and resources for political campaigning. Yet there are many documented cases now of democrats doing on a large scale what the republicans have been accused of, namely using government e-mail and offices for campaigning, and no legal action is being pursued even as the republicans supposedly hold power.

Wake up! we are living under a tyranny and the time is now to through off its cruel yoke. Yes cruel! People’s lives are being attacked and destroyed for taking conservative political stands. Their lives are being threatened and nothing is done. We in Wisconsin are seeing this all and no one here will doubt my words.

And with these republican presidential debates it appears we are all being directed to candidates most easily defeated by Obama. There are a few names that could step in now, win the nomination and beat Obama outright. Some have even suggested that Jeb Bush could step in now and win. On the top of that list is Paul Ryan. But hey Paul, we wouldn’t want to disrupt your kids childhood. That could have negative effects on their FUTURES!.

Unfair? Well, I see clearly what the left is working for and how they look to accomplish it,as do many others. It doesn’t mean they will succeed, but why should we take the chance. Our great nation of the United States gives us a wonderful life and why would we want to risk losing it. But more importantly, what would this world be like without the United States?

The Cain Atrocity

One of the stated reasons Newt Gingrich is on the rise is that people desire to see him debate Obama. They believe he will rain down an intellectual onslaught of conservative principles and common sense upon the self proclaimed smartest President in the room. But one ever really knows what will come out of Newt’s mouth; what the flavor of the day will be.

I wanted to see Herman Cain debate Obama and was a bit mystified why few to no others had expressed the same desire. A genuine black man speaking truth to power. A man who can say, “My daddy always said…” to give us that homespun wisdom that was all to common in the black community in days long gone. As opposed to someone who never had a father figure and as far as we can tell never had any friends or girlfriends either.

When Obama was elected many, even some on the left, had to admit the days of racism were fading into the past. Obama’s inauguration was a brief moment all could feel a sense of satisfaction in.

Yet, as Herman Cain rose to prominence as a presidential candidate he was met with the most vile stereotypical portrayal of the black man that has ever existed, that black men are womanizers, and no said a word. All the allegations against him are unfounded to date, yet the liberal media had no hesitation to vilify the man Herman Cain. And how easy was it for many, based on these racist stereotypes that have existed in our society, to just accept the allegations as true.

The perversions of Ted Kennedy and company didn’t disqualify him from public office. It was similar in regards to Barney Frank’s residential peculiarities. Hardly a whimper was made out of senator John Edwards long standing affair as his wife was dying of cancer. Denying his love child was just par for the course of a politician.

Would a white republican have stepped down in the face of such unproven allegations as those that Herman Cain was accused of. Perhaps. But the complete dismissal that Herman Cain was given would not have happened. The stories would have been reported as a backdrop to the overall electability of the candidate in relation to his positions and the overall vigor of his campaign. Such allegations would have been portrayed as yet to unfold, rather than declared an end to a candidacy.

Yes, the media is hypocritical in their treatment of republicans versus democrats. But it is also clear to me that racists tendencies have not been stripped from the general society. And the party that proclaims themselves the defenders against racism, along with their media allies, have no scruples in playing off these hateful stereotypes when it serves their purpose. Why? Because racism exits much more strongly on the left than the right.

But the left is just warming up. If Newt Gingrich should win the candidacy look out Catholics. Yes, his past life and the many women it entails will be brought up in the darkest most disgusting detail and …is it any wonder that he converted to Catholicism? Remember all those Priests abuse cases? Newt fits right in doesn’t he? It is only natural that he would be attracted to such a faith.

Too much of a stretch for the left? Really!

And then there is Mitt Romney, the candidate the big government political machine, a truly bipartisan entity, is putting forward. He’s a Mormon. There is regrettably a solid minority group of Christians that will not vote for a Mormon, period. So a portion of the much needed base is gone.

But Mitt will bring the middle even among the enormity of the inevitable cult allegations. …Riiiight.

I don’t have a problem with Mormons. Most conservative do not. But Mitt is not a strong conservative and he will be savaged, along with his faith, during the presidential campaign. This leaves the door wide open for a third party candidate.

And though one of the bright spots in Mitt Romney’s career is his rescue of the Salt Lake City Olympics from widespread corruption, the Salt Lake City Olympics were in Salt Lake City; the center of the Mormon faith. What does that say about Mormons and Mormonism?

We will hear about every polygamist group in Mormonism. And if any relative, no matter how distant, of Mitt Romney ever had more than one wife we will here about it. We will hear about his ancestors/relatives lives with their multiple wives more than Romney’s own life.

Mormonism, Mormons, Mormon run businesses and practices will face unending ridicule and attack to an unbelievable degree. And their image as a cult will be pushed to such an extent that it will make John Smith and his ilk look worse than Charles Manson.

“Oh! how could that be, you little know nothing blogger?” you ask? Have you heard of “September Dawn;” a film based on a 1857 massacre of a wagon train of 120 men women and children by Mormons and their native American allies? The movie is factually inaccurate but when has that ever discouraged the media from reporting the truth?

Mitt Romney will not carry the middle under these attacks.

So is it true that anyone can beat Obama? I think if Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney win the nomination all those of conservative persuasion will look back and say, “I wish we had Herman Cain or Rick Perry or Michele Bachman or… as our candidate. Anything would have been better than this.

I have not put forward anything detrimental to Newt or Mitt. These attacks are ready and waiting for the right time to be made. The mistake many in this nation are making is to underestimate the hate that drives the left.

They’re Back!

Nearly two years ago I suspected that a project to revive a massive failed mall complex on the northwest side of Milwaukee was being pushed to funnel money from the Red Chinese directly into the democratic party of Wisconsin. The project was/is backed by Chinese firms to bring in Chinese families to set up shops exclusively for Chinese goods.

Well, the project is back though the news reports would suggest that this is the first anyone has heard of it. I was wondering how the left was going to keep funding their protests as the money laundering operations of public sector unions is now significantly crippled due to the reforms governor Walker put in place to save Wisconsin from economic collapse. Could this be it?

Am I being too paranoid; too much of a conspiracy theorist? Am I seeing too much in the fact that Menominee Falls High School is dropping their Japanese language program after this year and will start teaching Mandarin next Year? After all China is a growing economic power and it is only natural that exchange increase as China becomes more important to our own economy.

But let me bring up a very important point, besides that the left is running out of money, that a local talk show host, Mark Belling, put forward, “Who can bail out the United States and at what terms?”

Many wonder if President Obama is intentional running our economy into the ground; taking the United States government into bankruptcy on purpose. Many believe if that should happen only China is big enough to bailout the United States as the E.U. is trying to bailout Greece.

Personally I believe China is on the verge of economic implosion and severe internal turmoil that will shatter China politically, with its various human rights violations, its growing gap between the rich and the poor and massive environmental issues. But I am sure that is not what the Chinese are planning for.

Back to Mr. belling’s point, if they need to rescue our the United States economy they will make it near impossible for U.S. products to sell in China, most likely through tariffs. Of course we will not be allowed to put any tariffs on Chinese products.

If you’re betting on the success of the Red Chinese economy against that of the United States it would be a good time to build a massive China Town to sell Chinese made products. Or in the terms of the Occupy movement, occupying cities across the country, it’s time to spread the revolution.

Yes, I could be a bit paranoid, but be certain this is not just simply good business.

Not a finger to the Wind but Feet to the Fire

First of all, I saw nothing especially strange about the Herman Cain add of recent controversy. OK, a slightly strange closing but…

But let me talk about Mitt Romney again. As someone who is also part of an unpopular faith I have been baffled by Mitt Romney being portrayed as someone without principles, unable to take a clear stand on the issues. The idea that he would change his views on a whim, depending on how the winds were blowing on any particular day, just would not ring true to me. I cannot believe a good and moral man, let alone a man of faith, could be wishy washy.

So I googled Mormon views on government and Mormon views on global warming. I found nothing definitive but the anecdotal evidence from various online sources was compelling.

Though the Mormons have a general distrust of government they appear to have embraced FDR’s new deal; what conservatives see as one of the origins of big government.

On man made global warming Huntsman, another Mormon Presidential candidate, shares the same views as Mitt Romney. In fact Mormonism feels a sense of pride as a faith in their acknowledgement of science.

The Pew Research group is one source where you can find these views buried in various interviews.

I could not say what the Mormon Church itself teaches as a matter of faith concerning these issues, they keep some hands close to the chest, but I suspect these views may go beyond just personal opinion.

Mitt Romney is not flip flopping. He is speaking clearly on what he believes per a worldview based on the Mormon faith. He changes after he sees that those he is looking to represent clearly believe something different, and he knows and accepts that it will be his responsibility to represent the will of the people as their elected representative.

Some want to attack Mitt Romney for being a Mormon by saying it is a cult. I find that irreprehensible hate speech. The “c” word is no different than the “n” word. If you have ever been labeled as part of a cult you know exactly what I am talking about.

We cannot separate the man from his religion. As a Mormon Mitt Romney has the propensity for big government and the belief that man is effecting the climate.

He is not a conservative. He will not support the conservative cause that is outlined by what has come to be known as the tea party. At best he will balance his personal views with what he feels the people demand. And that has been what he has been doing and why he is being attacked for supposedly changing his views. If conservatives must continually keep his feet to the fire, or put a ring in his nose and drag him around like an obstinate bull, to push forward the drastic change required to save this country not much will be accomplished. This country could be lost.

We need a President who will lead, not one that needs to be forced to conform to what the people clearly demand. Not one that needs to be convinced that big government is contrary to the Constitution; the intent of the founding fathers. We don’t need a President that embraces the beltway culture and faulty pop science.

And to all those flooding the conservative talk shows with calls claiming Mitt Romney to be a true conservative, even becoming angry, you are either a Mormon, a moderate or a moron.

It’s a Cain-Perry Race

As the tea party, a grass roots conservative movement, has changed the political landscape in the United States beyond what many thought possible in the past why do all, including so called conservative pundits, continuously claim this is a Romney-Perry race?

Romney is not a conservative and is a shoe in for a 2012 victory only because conservatives and conservative republicans will vote for anyone other than President Obama. Mitt Romney does not represent the views of the tea party. Mitt Romney does not want to change the status quo even while the people of this nation, the people who pay the bills for this government, demand drastic change; a return to constitutional government. If Mitt Romney wins the republican nomination for president only one conclusion can be drawn: our political/election process is a sham and the peoples will is no longer the guiding force of this nation.

Herman Cain has truly caught the imaginations of the people of this nation. His 9-9-9 plan is exactly the kind of change the people of this nation are looking for and the kind of drastic change this country needs. Replacing the entire tax code, Cain claiming it to be 100,000 pages currently (it was 66,000 pages when I wrote some ideas of my own four years ago), will provide transparency, something President Obama claimed he would bring. With all the hidden taxes removed, including taxes put on manufacturers and passed downed to the consumer, the costs to the public will change little. This includes the social security taxes. For those of lower income who only pay the payroll tax they will be charged more but their employer will be charged less allowing them to lower product pricing, invest into the company and/or pay their employees more.

The public can understand this restructuring. The public can understand that what they pay in total taxes depends on the budget and not how taxes are collected. They understand that even if the percentages need to rise they still benefit. If they rise beyond reason the transparency will produce a reaction at the polls. Fiscal reform will be demanded and the waste, corruption and unnecessary programs will be cut. And if needed, not the purist of conservative ideals but…, why not make these rates progressive. If you buy a NEW product worth over $50,000 let’s say you pay 20%, excluding housing.

If the tax code is reduced to …let us say five pages, and brings prosperity and increases revenue, a standard that will be nearly impossible to defeat will be established. The public will never again tolerate massive tax codes and loopholes, and most importantly the picking of winners and losers by the government. And yes, the people will demand Herman Cain’s tax plan. How Herman Cain has been treated by conservative pundits, including the various popular talk show hosts both national and local I have to wonder, and I never thought I would be thinking this, are they, along with the republican machine, racists? Most notably a local host; a distant cousin of mine. Callers seem to have a deeper understanding and appreciation of the 9-9-9 plan than the hosts of such shows.

It is the common sense and transparency of 9-9-9 that has rocketed Herman Cain into prominence. I am again bewildered why he has received so much ridicule for his ideas. Especially now as Rick Perry proposes a flat tax and receives none of the skepticism Herman Cain has. I imagine the reason for that is it fails to replace the existing tax codes of 100,000 pages. Art Laffer loves the 9-9-9 plan. It is workable and …again, transparent. And …again, is racism the reason it draws so much criticism. Or are the republicans truly enslaved to corporate interests, part of the picking of winners and losers that 100,000 pages of tax code hides? One could support or appreciate the 9-9-9 plan and still prefer another candidate. Why do so many feel so compelled to cut down this plan?

One accusation is that Herman Cain has no political experience. The corporate world isn’t political? Another is he does not know how things are done is Washington. Isn’t that what this grass roots tea party movement is most strongly opposed to, how things are done in Washington? I believe that firing all the air traffic controllers, ala Ronald Reagan, was not how things were done in Washington. Then Herman Cain is attacked as someone simply out to sell a book and can’t raise the funds necessary for a serious run. Perhaps the book sales would go into his campaign as well as promote his campaign, his brand, at the same time you idiots who make that accusation. And if he wins the nomination the funds will pour in.

Herman Cain is Ronald Reagan Lite. Yes, I must admit he could be too lite but I have to trust in our founders who wrote our constitution so those exactly like Herman Cain could lead this nation.

And then Herman Cain has to put up with attacks from the left. On Meet the Press Herman Cain was drilled relentlessly and incompetently on whether his 9-9-9 plan includes state taxes. Who cares the name of this moronic media big shot host. If he cannot understand that the federal government and state governments are distinct separate political entities, this includes his BBC guest, clearly spelled out by intention in our Constitution, why are they not waiting tables at Red Lobster.

As someone living in relative poverty I marvel how the incompetent, the ignorant and failures who cannot even draw 50,000 viewers make millions. OK …maybe marvel isn’t the right word.

Now Rick Perry is putting forth his plans. The presentation of conservative plans will outshine any debate performance and are what the people, the tea party, are looking for. The candidates who put forth concrete plans that reflect the conservative desires of the people of this nation will win in the primaries. And right now these are Herman Cain and Rick Perry. Mitt Romney cannot put forth concrete plans because they will be either rejected by conservatives or lies, because he is not a conservative. Mitt Romney is a paper tiger and has ridden to the top upon the wave of the old failed system of past politics. This is a new day, a new time. If Romney would actually win, we lose.

Some claim they will vote for a can of orange juice rather than President Obama. I had to admit I agreed with the necessity of such a tactic, but now I am having second thoughts. Not that I would vote for President Obama, I just do not think I could stomach voting for a candidate representing how things have always been done in Washington.

Some say that neither Cain nor Perry are qualified. They are certainly extremely more qualified than President Obama even with his now years of experience. And you must remember they will have a staff and strong conservative allies in congress. They do not stand alone as they do in a debate or media interview. I hope even if Herman Cain does not win the nomination that he continues to promote the 9-9-9 plan and that the tea party would get behind it.

For me, and I believe for all conservative, this is a Cain-Perry race.

The Moral Deficit

Many in the media, or via the media, have been celebrating the legalization of homosexual marriage in New York State. Listening to the BBC World Service one night one of their guests was outright jubilant over the fact. He claimed that it was a civil rights issue but had to admit “some” religions don’t believe in homosexual marriage. SOME? Yes, some Christian denominations have embraced homosexual marriage and though some of those denominations may be considered large they do not represent the majority. Further, those denominations have faced revulsion from a goodly portion of their congregations; people interested in what is right and not what appears popular in the moment.

Obviously the guest in question has a curious view of what passes for religion and civil rights. This mantra of homosexuality as a civil right, a talking point of the left, has grown in forcefulness of presentation over the last year. The media and special interest groups have been trying hard to convince us that those who oppose the homosexual lifestyle are backwoods hicks and haters. That taking a stand against homosexuality is homophobia; akin to racism.This agenda has one simply goal, a goal I spelled out in a tweet many weeks back; to outlaw religion. (my twitter feed can be seen in the sidebar)

But homosexuality, or homosexual marriage, is not a civil right. Homosexuality is a dysfunction at best, a choice at worst. Something civilization itself, civilizations all being formed around religions, have deemed a sin at worst or unnatural at best. No civilization that has left anything for future generations to build on has embraced homosexuality as normal. No civilization has advanced to greatness without strong family and social structures built around a moral code based on its corresponding religion.

And marriage is not a civil right it is an institution. A product of those same moral codes that made every great civilization fruitful. An institution established to promote those codes; to convey those moral ideals to the greater society; to promote the greater good. One of many institutions that make up what we call a civilized society. And just as marriage is one aspect of a civilized society, the promotion of homosexuality, or sexual depravation, is one of many signs of the moral decline that have marginalized great civilizations, leading in part to their eventual downfall.

Though some Greek philosophers embraced ideas of atheism, such ideas were developed on the shoulders of the zenith of Greek culture and they led nowhere. Such ideas failed to contribute to anything beyond what the culture had already achieved. And though the ideas may appear profound when resurrected from the archives of history, those who built upon those ideas, certain followers of Hegel known as the Left Hegelians, Marx and others, produced theories that when applied brought misery to man. Hundreds of millions were killed under the auspices of communism and these communist states then failed to bring blessing and prosperity to their peoples that remained. A similar comparison can be made in regards to those who claim the Greeks embraced homosexuality, supposedly giving it validity.

We can see that when Roman Empire was ruled by immoral, corrupt and/or insane leaders the Empire suffered, at least a goodly portion of citizens that bore the brunt of the burden of their Emperors indiscretions. And with the dawning of Christianity the moral standards grew even higher. The old institutions,decaying and based on lesser moral standards, could not maintain the cohesion of the Empire. The institutions not embodying the deepest spiritual aspirations of the people were being maintained by marginal or corrupt officials of the old status quo and the Empire broke apart. Any political/institutional ties to the past greatness of the Empire were lost completely with the rise of Islam and the further religious, political and territorial turmoil it brought about.

Many promoting the homosexual agenda recognize the ties between marriage and religion. They say the government should not be deciding what constitutes marriage, but that it should be left to ones faith to consecrate a marriage. I am surprised they haven’t made claims for the separation of church and state. But the homosexual agenda has its own faith grounded in atheism and/or materialism. An atheism embodied in the political ideology of communism; dialectical materialism. A godless religion that holds the strategy of promoting the homosexual agenda to undermine traditional existing institutions and values in order to take control.

Ties between social institutions and faith speak to the inseparable ties government has with religion, or in the case of the United States the moral standards of a Christian faith. (The words “separation of church and state” do not exist in our Constitution) A Christian faith that has driven modern western civilization for the last two thousand years infiltrating every social institution. A Christian faith that has been under serious attack for decades.

Christianity reshaped traditional celebrations, changed man’s outlook of the world, and correspondingly drove the themes and forms in art and architecture; other powerful institutions of a vibrant civilization. The general society, its rulers, religions and institutions all exist in a symbiotic relationship. And when all these aspects of civilization are in line with the principles of this world as best as man can understand them at the time, a world created by God as our founders recognized, then greatness arises. A greatness that benefits all men as has the existence of the United States in this modern era.

Some may make claims that many famous artists, architects or inventors of all the fore mentioned great civilizations, were homosexual, this, that or the other thing in an attempt to validate their wayward ways. Whether the claims are true or not, none of those recognized artisans were commissioned to portray the homosexual lifestyle. Rather artisans were commissioned to highlight the religious values of their society, a somewhat pseudo religious political doctrine, and/or to exalt the triumphs of reason past and/or present. Things that were considered the glue that held society together, that led to greatness; the building blocks of civilization. Where any depravation was expressed it was only in the context of the eternal hell those engaged in such acts would find themselves in.

As artist became more individualistic, namely painters, exploring the darker aspects of the human condition, the more lowly aspects of society, became an accepted genre. Still, I don’t recall in my studies of art history expressions of homosexual vice. And now today we have a government that commissions through grants the defamation of religious faith, faith upon which this nation was built, and promotes the most perverse lifestyles imaginable. This isn’t an intentional assault on our social fabric? We are being destroyed from within.

Freedom has been a goal, or perhaps a natural result is a better description, of civilization as man has advanced. But freedom without responsibility, without any restraints of a moral code, right and wrong, is destructive. The enlightened can see that the United states leads, or has led the way in this march of freedom. The freedoms of this nation are most clearly expressed in our declaration of Independence. That man is endowed with certain inalienable rights by his creator, among them life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

But if one wishes to jump off a bridge is that their right? They certainly are ‘free’ to jump, in a technical sense, but is it condoned by society? Not yet. Don’t we expend great resources, when possible, to prevent such a person from jumping? What if they believe it will make them happy? Surely they believe it will make them less miserable, don’t they? In some way they must think it will fulfill some desire, even if it is only to make a point to others in some crazed way.

And what about Amy Winehouse? Was she pursuing a lifestyle that made her happy or not? Certainly her vices were driven by desire. Yet everyone recognized the dangers of her lifestyle. All would agree she needed help and I am sure she was told that by those around her. That she needed to overcome those desires. We consider her death tragic, but not unexpected. All agree her former lifestyle cannot be condoned. Yet many have the liberty to, and do pursue such a lifestyle. And many believe it makes them happy. Heah, it’s their life!

These are all examples of poor choices. Choices made under the guise of freedom but leading to an enslavement and destruction. Choices driven by desire, misguided as it may be.

Some may claim homosexuality is not a choice, but is that true? Because a desire exists does that make it healthy or productive? No, as already illustrated. Some claim, and there is no reason to doubt many of them, that they have been changed from their homosexual ways through prayer and faith. This suggests a spiritual origin of the problem that can be resolved. That a path exists to overcome unnatural desires, and one cannot deny that much of religion itself, any religion, is the overcoming of desires. Namely self serving desires that distract from a good life..

And how many people with wives and children, presently or formerly, ‘come out of the closet’ and say they are, have always been homosexual? What about bi-sexuals? But most importantly what about that science? That science that for many years, at least in the past, was going to prove it is just a biological compulsion that must be respected. “If it feels good do it.” To quote the 60’s. The most perverse expression of this attitude being proclaimed even by some religious as, ‘that is how God made me.’

In a previous post on this topic I suggested that this world has been shaped by man; represents the fruits of man’s lives. Not to give any credence to that old saying that ‘the devil made me do it’ as man was given the command to have dominion over this creation, which includes his own body, and not the angel. And whether homosexuality can be tied to evil spirits, hormones or genetics (I discussed epigenetics in the fore mentioned previous post) man has the ability to solve the problem of homosexuality whether it be through faith, counseling or the science of hormonal or genetic therapy.

But… Where is that science that so many years back now was being proclaimed the holy grail for what has been labeled the homosexual culture? Years ago now 60 Minutes had covered one study that was pointing to a hormonal cause for homosexuality; a hormonal mishap at the time of birth. Supposedly many other studies were being done to bring the point home that homosexuality is natural …but not, though some may argue mishaps of nature are natural. Yet today we hear nothing. No claims of scientific validation, only claims of some new found civil right.

Is it because scientific explanations of homosexuality make it all that more simply a choice? A choice that is unnatural by …nature. A choice that has not been condoned by any religion outside of those who have bowed to the god named political correctness. A god exalted by those seeking separation of church and state that is meant to dictate every aspect of ones life if one does not want to be labeled a backward hick, a hater and of terrorist persuasion.

Even poor science, as is being revealed in the global warming debate, has and still does carry quite heavy weight among the media and other proponents of a politically correct society. And if they can overlook the short comings of the man made global warming argument you would think they could do better in the argument over homosexuality as natural. Or the argument that the psychological well being of children raised by homosexual parents versus the traditional family structure does not differ. The methodology of studies suggesting no differences in psychological well-being have been critiqued and found lacking. The studies have not been widely touted by the media. Looking at how the questionable methodology used to promote man-made global warming is widely acclaimed, one has to wonder why these studies on homosexual parenting are not more highly exploited to promote what is now called homosexual culture.

But then again television is not shy in promoting homosexual parenting. When I see those catch a predator shows, admittedly I have only watched them in part maybe twice though I’ve seen many portrayals of the practice in other shows, is it not always males seeking young females? Do the shows ever seek to capture men preying on boys or women on young girls? And is it not television and our pop culture that is going to make a millionaire out of the woman who was not convicted of killing her daughter though everyone believes she did?

The assault on the morals of this country is multi-pronged, much like a blitz krieg. There is the removing nativity scenes, prayer and all religious aspects of society from the public square as one prong. There is the battle over abortion as another. Sexual depravity spawned in the sexual revolutions of the roaring 20’s and the 60’s era of free sex still another. Battle fronts that are slowly but surely bringing their forces to question what is wrong with adult child relationships. According to such forces only the stigma society, our Christian society, applies to them.

This nation is in more than a dire fiscal deficit, but is in a more critical moral deficit. There is no longer any right or wrong but only ones intentions that matter; relativism. And the validity of ones intentions is decided by those holding political power. Where democrats can have their gay boyfriends run homosexual brothels in there homes and remain free of consequences, holding important committee positions all the while, republicans are run out on a rail by the accomplice media for the slightest infractions real or imagined.

The conservative movement in the United States representing traditional values is continually under attack, assigned the label of extreme right wing. In fact what is called conservative is simply what is right. It is the left that has been standing up for the depravations of our society, now labeling them civil rights. The left that has no plans, no ideas, they ignore the reality that their policies fail time and again. But what can one expect from a society where right and wrong are no longer differentiated.

Yes, we need candidates for the 2012 Presidential election that are fiscally responsible, that can show some balls and say they support the current best option to entitlement reform; Paul Ryan’s plan. But we even more importantly need candidates who are moral. We need candidates who will say we are going back to ‘don’t ask don’t tell’ for our military. Candidates who will stand by support of marriage bills and referendums and not allow them to be ignored or overturned by an overreaching judiciary.

We need candidates who are intellectually honest. Who can question the funding of Planned Parenthood when much of their money goes to fund abortions and into political campaigns. How do you differentiate the funds? It is all one and the same. And we need candidates that will pursue through the justice department wrong doing in government with great aggression. We need candidates that will differentiate right and wrong according to the Christian ideals this nation was founded upon.

This is what people saw in Ronald Reagan. He was fiscally responsible but called evil for what it was, contrary to those who had given political relevance to evil communist regimes through both government and media. But Reagan was also an all embracing heart. When he spoke of that shining city on the hill he was sincere in his desire that this great nation was for all peoples no matter what their creed or background. He didn’t wear religion on his sleeve. A quality that was present in George W. Bush despite his fiscal shortcomings. An all embracing quality not found in the likes of Mike Huckabee, a man far to willing to stir up religious bigotries for his own personal gain.

These attributes look to be well present in Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry. Rick Perry even proposing a Constitutional amendment to defeat the homosexual agenda. They present themselves as well equipped to take on the moral dilemmas we face as a nation. There is nothing to say candidates such as Sarah Palin, Marco Rubio or Paul Ryan don’t share these values either. But civilizations have fallen not simply because of moral depravation or loss of values, and it would hardly be right to point to a single issue such as homosexuality as the cause for decline. Civilizations, great empires have come to ruin not simply because their institutions, founded upon the moral religious principles of their society were undermined, but also because those founding principles were outdated. And if you take offense that I would be implying Christian teachings can become outdated I have to ask; have you been on a crusade lately? Or perhaps just a good old fashioned inquisition. We gotta burn em to save em …right?

And if you don’t believe religious views hold great power over our society let us look at traditional views on the end of the world. Referencing “World Scripture; A Comparative Anthology of Sacred Texts” published by Paragon House, A project of the International Religious Foundation, 1991, one finds;

“Consequently, the Last Judgment may be interpreted either as a supernatural event at the world’s end – typically the stance of Islam and most strains of Traditional Christianity – or as a social, political, and religious renovation of this world – a view common to Judaism and some new religions, for example …” (780).

Many are willing and able to condemn Islam as a militant faith by the words of their sacred texts. How is that militant view influenced by the idea that the last judgment is the violent end of this world where one’s enemies will be sent to eternal hell? What is the influence of the Christian teachings of Armageddon? The Apocalypse?

Is there any nation more vilified, continuously threatened with destruction, than Israel. Israel is surrounded by her enemies. Violence is a reality. Terrible acts of violence and terrorism are perpetrated against its people continually. Yet if you travel there, I have, there is a sense of normalcy to life. People are making their livings, raising their families, and looking to the future. Could it be because those in power believe the last judgment is based on good and evil not ones particular doctrine. A judgment where this world we all have to live in together is renovated so all good men, despite their backgrounds, can live in peace on earth?

Yet what happens when violence breaks out between two religions that believe in a violent end of the world, fit with a heavy handed judgment for all those who don’t believe as they do. Do you remember what Lebanon was like back in the day? Do you see what has been going on between Muslims and Christians in Africa? Can you say Kosovo? Or crusades? The words bloodbath and hell on earth come to mind. Religious doctrines hold profound sway over what happens in this world.

What world are we all hoping for?

The founders of this great nation enhanced their faith with reason; a driving force in their age. A new land full of opportunity spread before them focused their efforts on what could be made of this world, filling them with hope for what could be achieved in this life. This was very different from the traditional religious take on life in this world. It was again an all embracing spirit that left at the wayside ideas such as I am saved, destined for eternal life, whereas you are destined for eternal damnation because you don’t believe the same as I. Teachings that I consider inherently discriminatory. And yes, Thomas Paine and others had critiques of the traditional Christian teachings of the time.

A study of Christianity would reveal the teaching of eternal damnation was chosen some 400 years after the birth of Christianity. A rejected gospel of Thomas actually revealed the ‘great secret’ that all must reach heaven for God’s purpose to be complete. Not that there was no hell, and that it might compose what feels like an eternity or many eternities, but that all of us as God’s children were destined to be restored eventually. Otherwise how could we call God perfect, or all powerful, if a mere angel could take those God called his children away?

We have a talk show host here in Wisconsin, Mark Belling, who always criticizes people who belong to churches whose teachings they don’t really believe in. Usually when commenting on abortion. Let me suggest a reason why people join churches whose tenants, some major, they don’t believe in. Some of the most basic tenants found in the majority of Christian churches are unbelievable to the modern man already. What difference does not sharing a view on abortion make?

People believe God is good. Would a good God create a world where evil exists? God is all knowing according to traditional doctrines. He knew evil would arise from his creation before He created. Well, …that would suggest evil’s origins are in God. A powerful contradiction in the Christian faith to the reasoning abilities of modern man. To add to the contradiction God cannot relate with us because of our evil nature, yet that evil was from Him, part of His plan? If you believe in a god that preordained all evil, or foreknew all that has come to pass before he created you believe in a sadistic evil god. That is a natural conclusion if I apply today’s standards of reasoning; a conclusion that can only be denied with delusion.

This is why this nation of the United States, a nation of Christian faith developed to the highest level, cannot put an end to the continuous threat of atheistic materialism. It does not meet the challenges of man’s perceptions of right and wrong in this day and age. This is a paradox as I have outlined a relativism that is undermining concepts of right and wrong as a threat, but it is only because religion has failed to address the inherent contradictions in their teachings verses their preachings that allows people to question the absolute standard of values religion seeks and embrace a relative standard. There are no failings in the spirit of Jesus Christ. A true loving compassionate spirit is clearly conveyed, yet the doctrines suggest something very different.

This dilemma arises from the choices made some 1,600 years ago. I could point to my own faith as holding the answers to this crisis, but I can more easily point to ideas of the early Christians and ideas found in Judaism, Jesus was a Jew after all, to show that it was the choices of the early church, choices often arrived at simply because one group was not as politically well positioned as the other, that give us what we consider the infallible word of God. Choices, that if different would have powerfully changed Christian history as a whole.

Socialism promises a salvation for all men, willing to accomplish their goals by any means, showing unmatched devotion. And though their causes, tactics and results may have been discredited and revealed as the pursuit of power for powers sake, we will never be rid of it with the current state of Christianity.

Perhaps it is easier for Christian clergy to accept homosexuality, believing this is simply all God’s plan, than it is to revisit the validity of long held central doctrines. And if God is good and this is all God’s plan, how can one believe in the condemnation of homosexuals to an eternal hellfire if ‘that is how God created them’? If otherwise they are simply good people?

A God that is only goodness and love and planned only a world of goodness, never capable of imagining evil, is a God that Christianity cannot deal with. But such a God, a God who made man to have dominion over this world, makes all too much sense. That we created this world and are responsible as a whole to solve these problems and that is why God cannot intervene, because he made us “to be perfect as he is perfect. (such a God’s omnipotence depending on all making it to heaven because that is how he created man; as one family; His family never destined for evil) That we are all in this together, and that He provides all we need to return to His ideals if only we respond to His calling.

Such a God is not the God of Christian doctrine. Such a God turns Christian doctrines on their heads. Yet, it is the God people of faith comprehend, and a God most ministers preach in this modern age. It is the God that drives the faithful’s compassion for those lost in sin such as homosexuals. It is a God of hope for all in this world. A God that stands unchallenged before the atheistic powers of this world that use socialism and moral depravation as tools to destroy man, the goal of the angel filled with envy from man’s birth.

It is failings of Christianity that has brought about this moral dilemma threatening our nation. A Christianity that has been powerless against the forces of this atheistic socialist tyranny that we may soon find ourselves in because Christian leaders hold to doctrines set at a time when man lived in ignorance and fear of the natural world, saw life on this earth predominantly as suffering, and a time when Christian leaders saw it as their duty to save man. When Christian leaders taught a violent end of the world, the return of Jesus Christ, where all who disagree with set doctrines would be condemned to an eternal lake of fire.

But the historic march of freedom embodied by this foremost Christian nation of the world, the United States, the omnipotent spirit of God, will win out in the end despite man’s obstinacy. As we watch political events that we could never have imagined even three years ago unfold before our eyes, may I suggest what is coming soon to the realms of religion is unimaginable at the moment. And the United States is still the world’s greatest hope to meet this challenge; this moral deficit.

Walker for 2012

Tomorrow is another landmark day for what has become to be known as the Tea Party movement. And what is the Tea Party? I have described it once as everyone who isn’t living off the government, and the acronym for Taxed Enough Already is more than fitting. But it is more than taxes, it is the corruption, which can be simply defined as the buying of votes with tax payers money or more darkly described as the picking of winners and losers by the government (Hello GE, goodbye Big Oil), and the phony budgeting by which the government operates.

Zero baseline budgeting, in my interpretation, is a must for the Tea Party, as is tax ‘reform.’ Tax reform, cutting out all loopholes and then lower tax rates is something the democrats could share in. You think that would make tax reform a slam dunk. But another attribute of the Tea Party is that many have come to realize that the democrats, led by their liberal extremists, have no interest in doing what is right for this nation. The best that can be said for these liberals is they want the best for their cause. Unfortunately for them their cause is not what the United states represents, or had represented, and is detrimental to this nation as a whole. And the people of this country, the Tea Party, realize this also.

I believe that is an appropriate description of this indefinable leaderless grass roots organization. And while being endlessly attacked, the name may be suffering in the polls but the beliefs fueling it are unchanged. And tomorrow will determine the true vitality of what is known as the Tea Party. Tomorrow six republican state senators are fighting for the future of Wisconsin in recall elections. Recalls driven by union activists, many from other states, that have invested all they could in robbing the people of Wisconsin of its legitimate government. They are pulling out all the stops in misleading advertisements and election fraud to secure the overthrow of democracy. Yes, democracy itself is in the balance if liberal forces and their worker union thugs turn the tide against the Tea Party.

But I firmly believe the elections will come out in favor of the conservative republicans tomorrow. Though we don’t see much of the Tea Party in the way of activism there is a reason for that. The people, the Tea Party, has come to realize that they are not in the minority. They have come to understand the smoke and mirrors and dirty tactics the left relies on. They have uncovered the vapid mainstream media agenda to support the liberal cause and pay it no heed. Or more precisely, they have better more productive things to do with their time. The Tea Party understands that they are in the drivers seat and the only thing they need to do is get out and vote, and THEY WILL!

Still this nation is in crisis. And the nation is of much greater importance than any single part or state. While the governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker has worked miracles in a very short time and many believe he is irreplaceable, including me, he is an ideal candidate for President with the issues we are facing now.

Scott Walker has been a budget guru long before anything known as a Tea party was around. As the county executive of Milwaukee County he presented balanced budgets year after year, making hard decisions and cuts that were for the most part overridden by the County Board. But he did it, proposing plans to contract out janitorial work as well as season jobs rather than keep union wage workers on staff all year long as some of his solutions. He presented balanced budgets others thought impossible, and they were considered intelligent and responsible by anyone even remotely conservative. But again it was union forces that have have enslaved the county Board that have kept a continuous budget dilemma alive.

Now as governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker has balanced a budget that under the previous administration was robbing from road funds, illegally claiming monies from a doctor’s malpractice fund and counting tax monies yet to be collected to balance the books; a requirement of the Wisconsin Constitution.

In the face of all this Scott Walker balanced the budget, paid back the doctors fund, provided more money for the schools despite cuts by savings he legislated for them, did not cut a single job for state workers and now Wisconsin is looking soon to run a surplus without raising taxes. Not only that but new private sector jobs are leading the nation in numbers. And for those moderates, Scott Walker never once accuse his predecessor and treated all his adversaries with calmness and respect no matter how disrespectful they were to him in return.

Scott Walker’s skills are a perfect match to what this nation needs in this moment of trial. If he were elected as President in 2012, and the Tea Party were to bring republican control to the senate this nation would be turned into an economic powerhouse that would never be surpassed in our lifetime. Scott Walker as president, with his fellow Wisconsinites Paul Ryan and Ron Johnson, would transform this nation. Scott Walker with his unmatched budgeting skills, Paul Ryan with his expertise in entitlement reform and common sense solutions, Ron Johnson with his expertise in business and how things really operate in the real world, together with a slew of tea Party legislatures that may not hold the same expertise but definitely share the passion to save this country, are the absolute antithesis to the perfect storm of destruction that the left has been battering this nation with for decades.

This is a time to think of the bigger purpose and to trust in one’s fellow man. Scott Walker may seem irreplaceable but we in Wisconsin need to trust that others can carry the torch locally. If tomorrows elections fall powerfully in the republicans favor in the recall elections, definitely Scott Walker should be considered as a potential candidate for President, perhaps even if they don’t. It is time to rush the liberal beast and strike for the heart.

Mitt Romney vs. The Wisconsin Miracle

Mitt Romney, the ultimate beltway baby is the next in line, the ordained, the anointed, the candidate of choice of the old school, blue blood, died in the wool or any other adjective(s) you want to add to republicans blind to the will of the people candidate.

Mitt Romney was set up so smoothly. Look! He raised $10 million so easily. The press played him up as a legitimate candidate in contrast to anything remotely labeled Tea Party, or rather what the press mistakenly calls fringe when being polite.

And then, most telling of all, just prior to Mitt Romney’s official declaration Mike Huckabee stepped out of the race, proclaiming he will not run. Huckabee even going on the Tonight Show, a spewing platform for liberal tripe, to make it official.

Remember the religious bigotries Huckabee’s campaign team put out in the 2008 campaign? Huckabee is a sleaze and I’m glad he is out. I wrote my opinions of him clearly some years past. But his withdrawal was forced because of his previous stoking of religious tensions. No one is going to attack Romney for being a Mormon.

The press, and forums such as the tonight show, are all playing along with his predetermined nomination because Romney is a government spending advocate. It was the greatest fault of the Bush Presidency that they went along with big government spending. Yes, the Bush administration warned against the looming mortgage crisis, but then simply backed down. How sweet would the republican party be sitting now if the Bush administration had hammered and hammered and hammered on the mortgage issue at the time, before the bubble burst.

Mitt Romney is a big government spender. His comments on global warming, ethanol and his belief in government solutions to health care are tells that speak to even the inexperienced. He is blind to the will of the people, a will confirmed through polling. A blindness that can only be described as a contempt for the people of this nation.

Shame, shame, shame on your head Mitt Romney. You portray yourself as a righteous man, a man of faith, yet play along with liars and cheats to achieve your ambitions. You saved the salt Lake City Olympics. You know government spending is unsustainable. You know the Tea Party, the people of this nation have serious legitimate concerns, yet you stand for the status quo, unable to take a stand for the sake of this nation. Step down now you phony! It’s not about your religion, it’s about you Mitt Romney. The curtain has been pulled back and you don’t even know it.

The Tea Party is made up of those ‘Taxed Enough Already.’ It is not the fringe. It is everyone not living off the government. Your Mitt Romney's, John McCain's and powers to be want to hold up a failing system, a system heading for tyranny. They represent the blind trying to lead the enlightened; the people who pay for this nation. They speak out against the Tea Party, its’ candidates and its’ successes.

Here in Wisconsin conservatives swept the legislature and executive in the last election. Scott Walker, Wisconsin’s new governor, has turned massive deficits into a surplus. He has saved every job outside of those the union destroyed by refusing to implement the governor’s changes to collective bargaining. A miraculous turn around, victory, that those same old powers to be, government spending republicans, are trying to smother.

I wrote, after the election that brought Scott Walker to power, that Wisconsin would be leading the way for the nation. We have a successful businessman, Ron Johnson, in the senate and the whole country looks to Paul Ryan in congress as a true conservative solutions go to. Yet, as republicans in the Wisconsin State legislature face recalls this coming month, the miraculous accomplishments of this republican government are not being proclaimed in the applicable campaigns. Why?

We need to proclaim strongly and proudly conservative successes, and we need new republican leadership in congress. We need Tea Party leadership. The old political culture needs to be destroyed to save this nation. The democrats are on the ropes, defeated, beaten, gone. This is no time to pay homage to a failed history.

It’s time to purge the republican party. And all this talk about third parties? … I wrote about that a long ago too. Someone like …Donald Trump needs to challenge President Obama for the democratic party nomination and bring honesty back to their party. He needs to circle the wagons of the financial muscle behind the democrats that don’t belong to the liberal socialist powers to be and take a stand against the tyranny they represent. Yes Mr. Trump the odds would be against you. The battle may be seen as lost before it started. The toll would be great for you and your family, but with you leading it could only be described as …Glorious!

Can We Impeach Him Yet?

So pleaded the left wing blogs when President Bush was in office. For almost every action the former President took there were calls for impeachment. Baseless accusations that if paid head to would keep the President from fulfilling his duties.

President Obama has duties of his own to perform. One is to provide for the security and well being of the people of this nation. As August 2nd approaches, what are his duties if the debt ceiling is not raised?

Without raising the debt ceiling the government still has the funds incoming to pay on the debt and payout social security. If President Obama insists on not paying out on social security, if this day should come, he should be impeached. He is defrauding the public for political gain.

Let's not even get into the Fast and Furious gun operation, or they fraudulent credit card processes used by President Obama's campaign to raise funds to get him elected President. President Obama claims the economy needs stimulus to recover; the influx of money from the government. Well, social security is a whole lot of government dollars (actually they are supposed to be our dollars) going straight into the economy. There is no justification for such action, stopping payments, by his own standards of what this economy needs.

The majority of the public is in favor of conservative practices of cutting spending, ...drastically. The Republicans cannot fold. Too much is at stake. Government spending by way of the democrats is unsustainable. The President's proposed actions, if implemented, are immoral, without justification and of great harm to the people of this nation. Can we impeach him yet?

Shame, Shame, Shame

Shame, Shame, Shame. A statement heard over and over here in this great state of Wisconsin. The accusations of the long haired hippie freak types, all that remain of those union driven protests designed to protect the jobs of union bosses with their exorbitant salaries, directed at the responsible grown ups solving Wisconsin's budget crisis. Those legislators who have saved all state workers jobs, given school districts savings more than enough to cover cuts, and cutting taxes and regulations to stimulate job growth for the vast numbers of unemployed. Republican legislatures who have reformed government and spending so that Wisconsin will soon run a surplus being the objects of their scorn. These hippie freak types are slaves to their passions, acting without thought or control.

And I say Shame, Shame, Shame to all others unable to, with knowledge and understanding, keep themselves from being enslaved by the influences of their own surroundings. Yes, I say Shame, Shame, Shame to you John Boehner, you crying fool.

Golfing with President Obama? President Bush gave up golf as he found it distasteful as he commanded men in war, sending them to their deaths, bringing grief to the families of this nation. Yet President Obama plays as if he's retired. His outings and lavish vacations not going unnoticed among the peoples of this nation. Many of your fellow citizens, John Boehner, being unable even to afford to go golfing during this economic crisis. A crisis that appears more and more to have been the result of government policies.

So in this environment John Boehner you go out and validated President Obama's vice and sloth? While our men and women are still dieing in foreign wars, while many in our own nation are suffering economic hardship in this Obama depression, while men and women are being slaughtered in their streets by their own government in Syria, you stroke away with the leader of the free world. I bet you felt really important too.

So put on the spot John Boehner are you going to cry? Perhaps cry yourself to sleep? Those in Syria standing for freedom, who lost their homes and loved ones, wondering if their government will be coming for them next, perhaps clutching a firearm as they attempt to catch a bit of sleep might shed a tear. But mostly they will be gritting their teeth willing to look death in the eye to be free.

And they are free. Not free as too many Americans believe freedom to be, the ability to follow the slightest whim that any particular moment may present (heads up to Anthony Wiener), but free in that they are unshackled from the restraints of that which would restrict their pursuit of God's desire for their lives; to live blessed and prosperous lives.

Here in the United States we can see our blessing and prosperity drifting away. Our freedom being subverted and taken away by those unable to free themselves from their own vices or self imposed restraints. Restraints such as bowing to power and position rather than standing against the current for what is right. Whether it be social, moral or fiscal issues the beltway culture is one of surrendering to the powers to be, an illusion of power and goodness devoid of ties to reality; a self consuming self indulgent culture. Just as the serpent in the garden first distorted reality in order to control Adam and Eve, bringing about the fall, the origin of evil in this world, the beltway culture with their media cohorts pound the public with ideas in conflict with the truth. The idea that raising taxes will increase revenue being one of those falsehoods that refuses to die despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. And to place Mitt Romney in the hall of Shame we can include man made global warming and government run health care.

Freedom comes from truth and understanding guiding our desires in the direction of God's will. Why? Because God is real. The wise come to see that is how one's innate innermost hopes and dreams will be fulfilled. Something our founding fathers knew. It is far removed from the knee jerk, vice driven actions of many we see protesting the good works of our legislature in Wisconsin. It is far removed from the beltway culture that feeds off its own delusion of self worth at the cost of the people they claim to serve. It is far removed from what the democrat party has become. The majority of citizens have come to understand this. They are called the Tea Party. No one cares about reaching across the aisle John Baehner.

Humpty Dumpty, The End of Red China

I have just written a new book. It is far from perfect grammar wise, but very readable and enjoyable. I just got the formatting for Kindle resolved. In the book, the main reason I haven't posted in some time, a nursery rhyme is worked in with some small variations;

Humpty Dumpty is ready to fall

Couldn't put the party back together again

In my story, a work of fiction, the climatic event will be the catalyst for what will be the break up of Red China. Something that will be significant in future volumes. But outside of fiction I believe we will see Red China break apart in the very near future. Even within a years time. Why?

Recently on the BBC they covered the spread of Christianity in China, the actual promotion of Christianity by the state. China is actually studying the link between western prosperity and Christianity and see Christianity as beneficial. Of course we would see this, state authorized religion, as a false form of Christianity, but where the word is life will bloom. They cannot control a true Christian spirit which will arise. They will never undermine the underground churches. However that is far from the biggest threat to China's cohesion. But it does point to the inherent contradictions in Chinese society. Contradictions that are severe, wide spread and numerous. Contradictions that will soon destroy what we know as China today.

First of all the destruction of China is secured in the loss of their traditional society. The rock solid inherent social and family structures nurtured by centuries of Confucianism and other eastern religious influences are being destroyed by the one child policy and materialism. They do not have enough children to take care of the elderly in traditional fashion. A newly married couple has four parents, perhaps eight grandparents, to care for with no other siblings to rely on. And they can't. But this is just a symptom of the deep contradiction between traditional values and materialism sweeping the hearts and minds of the youth. Some of this contradiction is assuaged by new religions and welfare for the elderly policies, but this dilemma is one of the strongest stresses on the culture. It was only those tradition social structures that allowed China to keep its cohesion throughout the Cold War.

Next you still have hidden deep resentments over Tiamen Square. The contradiction between the mind seeking freedom, especially in the youth, and an oppressive government that suppresses free thought. This spirit of revolt is being fed by what is going on in the Muslim world.

Of course you have the deep contradictions between the rich and poor, the rural and urban societies. A demand for manufacturing jobs and the race to keep pace with the demand. And even in the cities, those chasing the dream of prosperity find themselves trapped in slavish conditions, all the while living among the filthy rich flaunting their opulence. And the blunt reality is much of China's growth was planned, driven by infrastructure projects that cannot continue. Yet ...massive resources have been consolidated among groups and individuals, resources that can be directed to support causes those holding them see as beneficial to them.

Then their is the judicial system in which the wealthy and the party members seem immune to prosecution. Where corruption is ignored while the people suffer. Environmental catastrophes are severe and the idealists in the communist party have joined with lawyers and community groups to battle them, through the courts, as well as other forms of corruption.

And this points to the deepest contradiction of all. The contradiction within the communist party itself, between the corrupt and idealistic, between the militarists and those who may recognize a shared prosperity with the rest of the world. As the students, those fighting through the courts often with party officials support, and those suffering under the economic inequality among others, all find themselves struggling together as the traditional structures of society break apart, with availability to massive consolidations of capital, the ruling party will divide in contradictory directions.

Hopefully the idealists will win, but they will never be able to hold the entire nation together. If the corrupt group wins there will be a blood bath. This theory is all based on the concept that something trapped in severe contradiction cannot continue to exist. Or you can look at it from the communist perspective. That struggle, thesis and anti-thesis battling, produces something better, a synthesis. Still I do not believe they can keep their country together. All this will not mean the end of the communist party, but with their openness to Christianity, a religion that is capable of providing order in turmoil, the path to the end of dialectical materialism, atheistic communism, will be clear. China as a military threat, outside of their nuclear arsenal, will be non-existent.

What struck me most strongly about the military action against Libya, and from what I heard many had the same question, is why did it come so late? The entire region has been experiencing protests, calls for democracy, long before the protests in Libya started. The protests in Libya went on for some time before the nation divided into armed factions. All this should have been anticipated and plans in place for how to deal with turmoil in Libya.

Who are the protesters? That is one concern, but they can be predominantly described as the youth of their nations. Young people who generally make up half the population of their nations. And though groups we consider our enemies may be involved, we have to trust in the inherent goodness of our fellow man. If we can't, we have already lost. These groups we call enemies, I do not believe speak for the majority of the younger generation.

And then there is Qaddafi. Decades of terror as his political opponents have disappeared or been outright killed. His hit squads openly killed protesters in the streets leading to the armed division. A man who brought order to a land of brutal tribal warfare, the current divisions based on these tribal divisions. And a man who has spent massive resources to build infrastructure for his nation, of which all benefited. Who is known for providing other African nations with large amounts of economic support. A missionary from our church who was formerly in Sao Tome mentioned to me that Qaddafi gave dozens of tractors to the people there.

Still ...a murderous tyrant. But one who can be shaped, as the assault against his family substantially severed his ties to international terrorism in the past. If he were the worst of the worst in the world, we could believe in the aggressive use of force as a diplomatic tool to bring a truly prosperous world for all. Unfortunately their are those far more evil than Qaddafi in the world.

The west is confused and conflicted in their assault on Libya. If they had acted quicker they could have kept the 'military' hostilities from breaking out. The best they can do, and what they should do now, is to tell everyone to return to their corners, the towns who support them. Then guarantee protection for all sides including Qadaffi. You have a nation of cities and towns that have vast open spaces between them. It would be easy to keep each party from moving against the other with a no fly zone. Unfortunately the too much too late approach has led to great loss of life. Loss that could have been avoided.

After separating the parties involved, you lead them in a diplomatic process to form political parties, platforms, and eventually free elections. Even if it includes negotiations with enemy groups such as Al Quida, Hamas and groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood, only good can come about. No one thought peace would come quickly to Northern Ireland, but as soon as a diplomatic wing of the IRA was formed, the terrorist activities soon subsided. Using these nations in turmoil, to bring the various groups together to form something better for the nations involved can only be productive. Everyone wants to live a life of accomplishment. Accomplishing these great tasks, bringing freedom and democracy, together with those we consider enemies, and you pull the rug out from under motives and intentions of darkness.

'Three Gorges Damn' or 'China Bashing'

When governments, here and around the world, are trying to financially shackle their citizens with carbon taxes in the name of global warming, China gets a pass. China is now by far the greatest producer of greenhouses gases, and constructing coal burning power plants on a weekly basis. Yet it is the United States, leading the world in environmental technologies, that needs to be brought in line, put in those shackles, or the world is doomed.

And as many thousands have died, and many more are suffering, an attack on nuclear energy is taking much of the stage as several reactors struggle to avoid meltdown in Japan after their earthquake and subsequent tsunami. A meltdown that actually poses no real danger. The reactors having survived an unbelievably powerful earthquake should suggest that nuclear power can be safe.

A war on energy just another manifestation of the left's package of strategies to tell their fellow man, in no uncertain terms, that they cannot take care of themselves. That they should all submit to their wisdom, the salvation they can provide simply because they know better. Now fracking fluid has been listed as a possible cause for an earthquake in the United States. The United States again the villain.

And we keep giving China a pass, President Obama even treating their delegations like deserving royalty.

The earthquake Japan, some speculated, may have been caused by the supermoon. The gravitational forces pulling on the tectonic plates at greater strength than normal as the moon comes closer to earth than usual.

The three gorges damn slowed the rotation of the earth. What kind of mass that entails. Wow! A mass setting on something much less massive than the entire earth. Setting on a tectonic plate. So again, if we are going to say man can transform the climate, and cause earthquakes, if we are going to operate on that premise, China is again the chief suspect. If not for the quake itself, certainly the magnitude... if the left wants to be consistent.

Just another example of how those grabbing for control, in the name of the good of all mankind, could care less about their fellow man. If they did, they would focus the fight against global warming on China. They would have opposed the three gorges damn. And if they cared about their fellow man, they wouldn't honor a regime that is brimming with corruption and human rights abuses. That would be China. And they wouldn't be focusing a world wide campaign against nuclear power in the face of all those suffer devastation. An intellectually weak argument, as the reactors protected their cores in the face of forces beyond the original design criteria.

Is it unfair to bash China in regards to the recent earthquake? Perhaps, but it points out the hypocrisy of those claiming they know better. Those who put policy before people, to put it in the simplest of terms.

Crank Calls

Recently the governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker, my governor, received a crank call ( that's what we called them when we made them, when I was twelve years old, crank not prank) from a liberal blogger, claiming to be a predominant conservative businessman, David Koch. A businessman who donates to conservative and libertarian causes, and holds substantial business interests in the State of Wisconsin.

Trying to trap Scott Walker in some scandalous mis-statement, the only thing we all discovered was that our governor says the same thing in private as he does in public.

When I first started this blog, my first, and now one of many, I visited a liberal west coast blog on a regular basis to comment on their postings. My sound conservative arguments soon caught their ire. First I was accused of being ignorant, invalidating my entire reasoning because of typos such as typing 'alot' rather than 'a lot.'

I was threatened with being blocked from posting on their blog. A blog that I will not mention, because I have decided it is not worth contributing to the liberal cause, by giving them the privilege of my patronage or the attentions of others. I was always courteous when I posted back then, and on some very rare and miraculous occasions we actually found common ground. So I was never blocked.

I was further accused of being a republican operative, spreading talking points coming down from on high. To which I proclaimed myself a free thinker. Then one day I received a call. A very passionate sounding woman, claiming to be a secretary from some office in the republican party was on the line. She claimed she had something very important for me to help them with, but before she could finish I said; "I'm a conservative, not a republican." And hung up the phone.

This was nearly five years ago. A few seconds after I hung up I asked myself; "Was that Becky?" One of several posters from the liberal blog with whom I had the most heated debates. It was a natural conclusion as I really had no connections with the republican party, outside of some small donations for the Bush 43 campaign. And I had been thickly accused on the subject blog of being an operative. And just the feeling I had about the call. I received plenty of fundraising calls but this was completely different.

The left has no scruples. They hold no commitment to basic attributes of good character. These tricks are not new. Governor Walker should have staff that are more competent. I heard a description of how the crank caller got through, and some one should be fired.

But ultimately, it is not just protecting the union money that goes towards democrat campaigns that has brought Wisconsin under assault. Yes, what is happening in Wisconsin, and other states, is a threat to the money supply, and the liberal's goals for complete control. But focus is also being directed at Wisconsin, and governor Walker, for the same reason the left focuses smear campaigns against Sarah Palin. They do not want Scott Walker, son of a minister, to get anywhere near the Presidency.

I cannot see Scott Walker running in 2012. We need him too much here, and I don't know who could possibly replace him. And he just started. But in six to ten years.... This is a true Reagan conservative who does what is right, and will not be changed.

Happy President's Day to all. As a citizen of Wisconsin there is nothing I can really add to the coverage, of the opposition to our governor, that has been going on. Being covered so deeply, most anything that could be said has been said. And I would share the opinion expressed here.

It was Mark Levin who I first heard explain clearly and flawlessly, maybe years ago now, the inherent conflict of interest that exists when you allow public workers to unionize. Their dues going to support candidates who decide their wages and benefits.

I hope as a nation we can always honor what deserves to be honored; President's like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan. And hopefully many more in the future.

The 111th Congress, Jared Laughner, and the Rest of Us... and lets throw in the 112th Congress

Can we delete the 111th Congress? Take back, invalidate, repeal the entirety of the legislation passed in the 111th Congress? Has there ever existed a legislative body in this country that has acted with complete disregard and outright defiance of the people of this great nation?

First we were chastised for expecting our elected representatives to read the bills they vote on. How can anyone be expected to read all those pages, one democrat representative chided. Then we were told we had to pass the bill to know what was in it, by none other than the Speaker of the House. The health care bill being passed as the majority of America expressed their disapproval in polls, overwhelmingly in town hall meetings in the face of those they elected, and in outright protests, the type of which, in size and quantity, have not been seen since long haired hippies ruled our streets.

Then we found extensive passages in the health care bill that had nothing to do with health care, such as IRS filings for the small scale sale of precious metals. But more disgraceful than all this was the lame duck session after the election. A session hailed by the media and claimed as a victory by the democrats. Where the Congress, namely the democrats, passed bills that were in complete opposition to the desires of the people they represent. If they were, the bills would have been voted on before the election. The election results themselves proclaiming the disapproval of democrat party policies they acted in favor of.

I am unclear whether the States could actually petition the Supreme Court to negate the actions of a Congressional session, but if it is possible they would have no better a case than they do now. Many would argue it is the election process that rectifies such indiscretions, but is there no condemnation, consequence, of wrong doing called for? The actions of the 111th Congress have cost this nation and its people, subjecting them further to the oppressive yoke of big government, threatening their very liberty.

Because no action exists in a vacuum, the actions of this Congress deeply effect all the people of this nation, and the world, in one way or another. Perhaps the action of complete disregard for the will of the people holds larger consequence than any bill passed. We all impact the environment we live in and Jared Laughner's environment influenced him. It was not just his immediate environment, his isolation. As the media now claims, after trying to blame conservative ideals and those who promote them. But it was the environment we all have to deal with in our daily lives as citizens of this nation and world.

An environment where politicians say one thing, but then work towards contrary goals, acting in disregard to the desires of their constituents. Claiming divine right and becoming excessively rich from their positions, just because of the office they hold. Many showing little to no success themselves in the real world or their family/moral life.

An environment where the government, extolling the virtues of abortion, 'prepares' our young people for the free sex culture in elementary school. A government that claims religion a person practice, not to be expressed to the larger more enlightened public. While others promote chastity, the virtue of marriage, and the miracle of birth, giving praise and glory to God for the world He created.

An environment where the threat of terrorism from Muslim extremists is always on our mind, but the public in general must be scrutinized, no profiling allowed. And if we are going to give anyone exception to the invasive pat down policies at our airports it should be Muslim women in their unrevealing clothing, because Islam believes in modesty.... and other religions don't?

An environment where religion, that at one time proclaimed the 'absolutes' of the almighty God, now bows to political correctness, many major Christian faiths embracing homosexuality, among other things, as the way God created. An atmosphere where no one can judge or be judged. Where their is no right or wrong. I'm OK, you're OK, we are all OK.

Is Jared Laughner OK? Where did his nihilism originate? We are all interrelated and if you take an honest look at our society we can say with some confidence that the society at large encouraged his nihilistic world view.

And what of the environment of Arizona? My first reaction when hearing about the shooting of the Congress Woman was that it was related to the violence associated with our failed border policies. Or rather the lack of clear policy/action plan. Jared Laughner was living in an environment where violence went unchecked. Where no response equal to the magnitude of the problem was even close to being implemented. An environment of violence, chaos, and seemingly no way to rectify the situation.

We are all in this together. Everything we do has ramifications far beyond what we can imagine. And the idea that republicans and democrats of the 112th Congress should stand as one at the upcoming State of the Union address is no exception. It is a terrible idea. A destructive idea. The republicans, at least those who were elected by the Tea Party, and democrats believe in 'opposing' world views. They cannot exist together. Views that divided this world in two in the Cold War Era. They are contrary to each other and only one can be correct and history has already judged which is.

For the two parties with opposing views to stand as one is an extension of the confusion that our institutions, schools being the biggest, have been propagating since the sexual revolution of decades past. (Do the hippies still rule the streets? or rather the halls?) A contributing factor to the nihilism of Jared Laughner along with the socialist books and films he enjoyed. And like the policies the government promotes that suggest that you can't keep young children from pursuing sex, or that only government can solve our problems, holds profound implications for the future of this nation and world.

Wikileaks, Anarchists, and Other Useful Pawns

In the mid 80's, a Church group I was working for hosted Sir John Noble on an anti-communism speaking tour. He gave his speech in the face of an oncoming hurricane. His route home blocked by the storm and his hotel being on the waterfront he had to spend the night at our Church residence. We all gathered there and he gave us his testimony throughout the turbulent night. When the lights went out we lit lanterns.

Sir John Noble spent the Second World War in a Nazi prison camp, his family being imprisoned upon the start of the war. After being 'liberated' by the Soviets he spent another ten years in labor camps under their... protection. During the course of his detention by the Soviets his family in the United States made unending inquiries to the State Department seeking information on his where abouts or possible fate. They claimed no knowledge of him on either count.

Eventually Sir John Noble was released. And in fact the State Department knew fairly accurately where he was during those long years. They had a file on him that would fill a drawer of a filing cabinet, so he claimed. Yet out of some diplomatic courtesy to the evil empire this information was never released or given to his worried family. Just some of the bull diplomacy breeds.

Wikileaks put out piles of information. Much had no particular significance. A lot was newsworthy, falling under the category of being classified to cover something that wasn't deemed beneficial for the current power structure under some supposed political or diplomatic reasoning. Why should any of that be hidden from the public in a government of, by and for the people?

But where is all the information on Area 51, and UFO's, and on the serious side our Vietnam MIA's and POW's? Like Sir John Noble's case before the time of computer filing unfortunately. Why should the public tolerate being lied to? And why if this Christian society believes they will have to answer for their entire life in the next world, nothing being hidden, do they create a society so full of secrets and hidden indiscretions?

Some of the released files could be deemed harmful to national security and/or the welfare of our troops in combat. But who is to blame for that information getting out? How long did this current administration know this was going to happen? And more importantly why didn't they do anything to stop the release of, if not all the information, the information that could be truly damaging to security?

Many see what they call the socialization of the United States; a coming tyranny. They look at the political tactics of the left and try to counter them in the playing field of politics following the rule book of what passes as good government today. The problem is the left has a different rule book of anything goes. The end justifies the means... Please make a list for me of the communist nations that did not come to power or were kept in power by violence. Armed revolution or the use of the military to suppress their own public.

And in this process of armed revolution it was the anarchist and the idealistic youth and intellectuals who lit the fire, created the chaos and instability and then were summarily suppressed when their role was complete. And Assange is the first to fall prey to this tactic as those seeking total control have recognized the threat of the Internet in thwarting their goals. This is why nothing was done to stop him and his organization. This is why nothing was done to stop the release of information that could cost our young soldiers and sailors their lives. It is part of a strategy to restrict and control the Internet.

And we see anarchists across Europe stirring up trouble. But here in the United States, where the left accuses the Tea Party of planning violence in one breadth and with the next calls for armed revolution against those on the right (blaming Bush all the while) there is no violence to speak of. Outside of a few campus protests on rising tuition's (much like in Europe) and isolated acts of terror, few and far between, inspired by the likes of Al Gore and other left leaning activists. The lack of escalation speaks more to the character of the people of the United States than that of the media or political talking heads.

And the left is missing one crucial piece of the puzzle in taking total control of the United States. That is control of the military. The repeal of 'don't ask don't tell' being the key step to accomplishing that goal. When 'don't ask don't tell' was passed it was written in such a way that it invited challenges in the court. And those challenges would have been complete some years past if not for one thing; 9/11. 9/11 and the subsequent wars put that tactic on the back burner and rather than our military numbers shrinking and becoming dominated by those driven by political correctness rather than love of nation, the numbers swelled with freedom loving Americans.

The homosexual movement is just one of many useful pawns in the atheistic socialist/communist left's drive for complete control. They are active, continually witnessing to their lifestyle before the entire public and it will be no different in the military. Openly gay individuals in the military will drastically change the spirit of our armed forces and who joins. It will be a military enslaved to political correctness rather than the public. A useful pawn.

Fortunately the politicalization of the military is far behind schedule or it could all be over. And what socialist/communist state ever supported homosexuality?

Forward, the motto for Wisconsin. Let me give you my insight on my state.

It will be Wisconsin that leads this nation forward in conservative principles. Our new senator Ron Johnson, a manufacturer and accountant, defeated the incumbent and most liberal senator in office Russ Feingold, and has pledged he will not work for reelection but only to fix the problems of this nation. A man of accomplishment and character.

Many recognize the danger of new congressmen being co-opted by the beltway. It does not look possible in the case of Ron Johnson and he is not entering congress alone. Several Tea Party republicans won house seats and some real powerhouses have already held office for some time. An intellectual conservative giant Paul Ryan being one and a long time conservative, never wavering to the beltway, Jim Sensenbrenner another.

And behind them is a state government now lead by a new, do what he says, fiscally unfaltering conservative governor Scott Walker. Republicans took control of both state legislative bodies with large majorities, unseating the democrat leaders of both. Positioned to send Wisconsin from a depressed (due to democrat leadership) to booming economy as a testament to the whole nation of the value of conservative principles.

And the democrats will not gain power again for a very long time in Wisconsin. With tens of thousands of unverified names on the voter rolls Wisconsin has been a documented hotbed for voter fraud. It was the democrats who for many years stopped legislation for picture ID's to vote. Even stopping the placing of a second referendum on the ballot that would have given the people of Wisconsin the choice of making voter ID part of the state constitution, after the public overwhelmingly approved the first referendum. Two being required to change the state constitution.

Madison Wisconsin, the capital, has been called the Moscow of the United states and Milwaukee has been one of the few cities in the nation to actually elect a socialist mayor. Both the democrat candidate for governor and senate were betting on these liberal strongholds, and hotbeds of voter fraud, to take the election. Both losing by ten points they refused to concede late into the evening.

I live in the inner city district that votes overwhelmingly liberal. Dan Sebring the republican challenger to my congresswoman, Gwen Moore, held 68% of the vote. But that was with only 3% of the precincts reporting. Many other precincts, the liberal strongholds, being held open late as masses of questionable voters were rushed in creating lines. These results came in mass after about 50% of the statewide results were in. The ten point lead shrunk instantly to a five point lead. All with a motivated republican base. It stayed at five points the rest of the night. Dan Sebring in the end took only 30% of the vote in his district.

Picture ID to vote will become law in Wisconsin in short order under the republican leadership. Though called a blue or sometimes purple state, democrats have almost never won any statewide race with large margins. I believe those margins will disappear completely with a picture ID required to vote.

Even nationwide, without overwhelming majorities in inner cities across this country the democrats would never have held any power at all. This could all change quickly. How? The rise of a conservative evangelist in the black community is the only way I can imagine.

And in their victory speeches the conservative victors all gave thanks to God for this great nation. We should all give thanks. And keep praying for this country.

I'd like to share a bit of my prayer that I pray everyday without fail;

That good leaders rise up and evil leaders sink down.
That we (all men) need not tolerate evil leaders any longer.
That we can have leaders that are good, upright, and true.
That turn their hearts to you (God) in all things.
That are responsible to their constituents.
And serious about public funds.

Tyler Clementi

Rutgers University freshman Tyler Clementi, a young gay man, killed himself after suffering extreme violations of his privacy. The media coverage has been such that most everyone has heard the story, but not so over the top that it has filled the airwaves or received much coverage on the commentary side of the news industry. The media has framed the story accurately as this is more a case of being bullied than a conscious act of hatred towards homosexuals. As many would wonder why one would kill himself when being Gay hardly holds the same stigma as even twenty years ago and is staunchly defended by many including some Christian churches.

But would it have received the same coverage if the young man had not been Gay? Have not others submitted in similar ways to being bullied and received far less coverage not to mention a complete lack of international coverage? Perhaps some in society deserve the protection of their human rights and dignity while others do not.

In fact in Japan there is a group that is targeted by Christians, at least those claiming the name Christian, going far beyond what was done to Mr. Clementi. A practice that up to thirty years ago was common in the United States until our courts put an end to the abuse. An abuse also instigated here in the name of Christ.

That is the kidnapping and de-programing, or forced de-conversions, of members of the Unification Church. In days gone by a practice in the United States targeting any group that could be labeled a cult, and today in Japan almost exclusively directed to the Unification Church. Lead by Japanese churches that have become predominantly made up of those the pastor/de-programing expert supposedly saved from the Unification Church. That's some witnessing program.

And many in Japan have been documented to have committed suicide after the ordeal, exclusively young women. The offenders clear knowledge of the importance of keeping one's purity, sexual relations allowed only in marriage, as a central doctrine of the Unification Church use rape as an instrument to break the faith of young women. The faith of those whose parent's hired these de-programers to get the job done. A father who paid the equivalent of $20,000 dollars to have his daughter deprogrammed had no idea of their practices. After his daughter committed suicide and he realized what had been done he also killed himself. A documentary of these abuses is said to be coming out before the end of the year.

In other cases victims have been held for months and years. One man being held against his will for over twelve years. The Japanese authorities never doing anything over the decades to stop these practices, claiming it to be a family affair.

If you read this blog regularly you should know that I am also a member of the Unification Church. I suspect similar, if not more severe, invasions of my own privacy than suffered by Mr. Clementi. Though I have no resources or means to investigate the issue it is something known by many including elected officials. And since much of these abuses are driven by family and my cousin being a police officer living less than a mile away I think I can safely say law enforcement also is aware.

And I'm not even touching on the discrimination one experiences in the work place. If you hear a person in your work place mentioned in relation to the terms cult, brainwashed, or mind numbed robot over and over and think that isn't detrimental and discriminatory...

Yes, Mr. Clementi's death was very tragic and the coverage was well warranted. But do we reserve such compassion and social outrage only for those political activists or, on a more personal level, one's particular religion, deem important? Deem human?

Or perhaps I am the villain for using this young man's death to draw attention to the ordeals of those of my faith.... because it is just different... because...?

9/11 Tea Party

Today is/was a day to remember and think about what it means to be a human being with all its corresponding responsibilities. I went to the Racine Tea Party today. Right along the lake on a soccer field, or soccer pitch as they say in Europe. If you took all the people in the field and grandstands and those walking around the display tents I say it would have filled tight about 1/4 of the soccer field. Must have been at least 1,000 people.

Paul Ryan and other speakers of ill repute, according to the left, spoke common sense, hard truths and practical solutions for this nations problems. Also there to provide insight and a bit of levity was Jonah Goldberg. His book available on Amazon. Sorry I haven't been posting much. That is not too unusual for the Summer but it seems I missed a whole month. I have been working to publish a short bit of fiction, a pair of short stories, that should be available by the end of the month.

And then there were the counter protesters. All six of them.

Stephen Hawking and the Necessity of Man

Reports are spreading over the Internet of Stephen Hawking's declaration that God is not needed for the creation of the Universe. As if he were saying there is no God. Claiming, that because there are laws such as gravity the Universe will create itself, from his latest book "The Grand Design." I am speculating a bit here, as his book has not been released, but I feel I can say with a level of confidence that Stephen Hawking is ignoring the reality of his own existence; the existence of man.

Pulling down my Bible from the shelf above my computer, let me make reference to some critical verses;

"God created man in his own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female he created them.

God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over...." " Genesis 1:27-28

And;

"Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matt: 5:48

All the heavenly bodies and all of creation are governed by the laws of the universe and the laws of nature. An argument, according to many, possibly including Hawking, that God is not necessary or that God does not exist. Yet man appears to be the master of those laws, unlike anything else in all of creation. Stephen Hawking himself, extremely limited in his abilities to engage the world around him, has the capability to comprehend the laws and operations that govern the universe; to reach out to its farthest limits. Only humankind has the ability to go beyond the limits of their environment, even developing the technologies to travel and colonize distant planets. Nothing else in all of creation even comes close to suggesting similar abilities.

And humankind, from its earliest recorded history, seems to have had the insight that they are the center of this universe. That they have the potential to comprehend and achieve its deepest secrets. All religions recognize this reality and strive for the ultimate truth. What religion do elephants adhere to?

And all religions recognize the harmony of nature and the cause of evil in the world resting with humankind alone. Even the atheists, some preaching self-extinction for man, glorify the creation and see man as the single source evil in an otherwise harmonious existence.

We are created in God's image and as Jesus revealed, we were created as God's children. And this universe is the means to achieve our place as His children. 'To be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect.' To comprehend the nature, harmony, and glory of God in his absolute selfless love by comprehending and subduing the world He created. Like a child only coming to comprehend the extent of the sacrifice and love of his parents after going through the same process, so God put us in this world to fully comprehend his nature of love, sacrifice and order by 'increasing in number, filling the earth and subduing it.' As a parent seeks to see their own nature in their own child, bring them the greatest of joys, so it is with God.

And looking at the nature of the atheists and God accusers, can you not recognize some deep emotion, deep hurt that seems to drive them. An embittered portrayal of not only God but their fellow man, or at least of those they deem a threat to the world they have created. Can you recognize the similarities of dealing with them and trying to deal with a disfunctional family?

I truly hope Stephen Hawking can find his own true union with God the parent of humankind and his fellow man. That he can look at the wonders of his own existence, of the miracle of man, and see that the universe was created and exists for him and the rest of humanity. That the universe was created so humankind can reflect God's own nature, a selfless existence of joy and love, and for no other reason. I shudder in awe thinking of what Stephen Hawking could reveal to all of us through embracing what truly drives the universe.

Resonance Chamber

What the left, namely the mainstream media, cannot understand or refuses to recognize is that the people of this nation have any valid opinions at all. They see a collection of lowbrows, now gathering into a mob called the Tea Party. Haters and bullies that need to be put down.

Even while they are failing, the mainstream publications and networks going bankrupt and looking to the government for their own permanent bailout, they consider their journalistic crusade an historic struggle against... What? The people?

We? The people?

Yes the people established this nation and government and now the people have decided they don't want to buy what the main stream media has to offer.

And why is where the people are looking for their news, talk radio and what is now called the alternative media, being threatened by the government? The fairness doctrine appears for the moment to be out of favor but how long will that last, with the mainstream media and prominent democrat leaders making relentless, crude, and predominantly baseless accusations against what they see as their opposition.

The main stream media and government have left the people. They see us as unable to function without their malevolent, oops sorry, benevolent guidance.

We are called an echo chamber. Just mindless minions repeating empty slogans. But it is not an echo chamber, rather a resonance chamber. It is the resonance of truth. Like a tuning fork ringing, the vibrations spreading to others that share the same resonance. The people are responding to what they know deep in their hearts, what is truly important to them.

What is today called conservative ideals are a collection of ideas that ring true. Because they are based on truth. The testament to that being the countless ways they are applied to, expressed in, every level of the workings of America and the lives of its citizens.

The right is not an echo chamber. The ideas are stated from various endless perspectives because the truth permeates our lives. There is no repetition. Callers to talk radio, simple people, often make great points that rival the hosts. I believe I offer a perspective in most cases that is unique, and at times hit something out of the box that might deserve greater recognition. But I am not a professional commentator. And in my case, or that of a caller, the professionals simply don't have the time to cover every pertinent aspect of the issue, so it makes us stand out. They have to focus on what they see as the strong points on an argument or issue. And they all have varying perspectives all pertaining to the same truth. A truth with endless common sense connotations.

How different though in the mainstream media? I believe it is Rush Limbaugh that often puts together clips of the various main stream media outlets mindlessly repeating the same talking points on an issue. And there's the endless websites, blogs and others, that place something onto the Internet and then network to spread it thick. Repetition being their expression of professional ethics. There is the true echo chamber.

With the left, rather than nonsense going in one ear and out the other through that great void, their thinking is askew. On the way to the other side the nonsense runs out of alignment and bounces around in there until it finds its way out the mouth. Often slandering and libeling those on the right. But never having to apologize.

And the recent brew-ha-ha over the Shirley Sherrod story has clearly pointed out the gross vapidness and hypocrisy of the left, the main stream media. When Shirley Sherrod clearly called out Glenn Beck by name, in reference to the supposed attacks that led to her firing, it was clear to me that this was all a trap. A trap intended for a figure seen as the weak link, as he has the tendency to be brash and irreverent in style at times (and incredibly funny too)...(sometimes I just can't stop laughing). But Glenn Beck is obviously a professional. Wanting to lead with the story on his TV show, he didn't when the context of the statements couldn't be found.

And then it quickly broke down. Quickly. The main stream, having often slurred others on the right never retracting their statements or apologizing, rushing to point out how terrible it was to paint this person in a bad light unjustly. The apogee being Dan Rather's remarks that the main stream media actually verifies their stories.

Oh... Wait. That wasn't Dan Rather. I just don't follow the main stream closely enough to know all their names, unlike those professional commentators who I'm sure are familiar with his name. But I know it begins with an 'S' and is at least four letters.

Maybe I should have made a phone call.

TV Viewership

Hmmm.

A topic that might not seem fitting for this blog, but let me share my unique perspective on the large drop in prime time TV viewing. A significantly larger decline than in the past.

It's unemployment. We do a lot of socializing in the work place and make an investment of brawn and intellect. You get home and you need some down time; TV time. Now if you're not working you're not being challenged on those levels and there is not much socializing going on throughout the day. Just the innate desire to interact on various levels with others and the greater society drives people to go out in the evenings, especially the long evenings, even if they don't have a lot of money. If you're not working evening is the most convenient time to get your social interaction fix.

Deterrents

Having grown up in the cold war I often wonder how the younger generations view the world; their fellow man. No longer is the world in a struggle, clearly defined by borders and alliances into the free versus communist world. A period where mutual shared destruction was the lock and key for nuclear arsenals, held then only by super powers. The ultimate deterrent. And it apparently worked.

Just the other night I saw the movie "Dr. Strangelove" and was really taken back. A movie I found disturbing in the past but now quite enjoyable. An insane commander sends his wing of B-52 Bombers to attack the Soviet Union and he alone holds the recall code. In the process of the movie the Soviet ambassador reveals they have created a computer controlled doomsday device impossible to turn off and that a nuclear attack within their borders will set it off killing all life on the planet. Dr. Strangelove, commenting on deterrents, explains the importance of fear in the process, but then points out that it doesn't work if you don't know the deterrent exists. The Soviets not having told anyone, wanting to surprise the world at an upcoming conference.

The Soviet Union is gone and Russia no longer the serious threat it was for launching a world wide nuclear war. China is still an evil communist power full of corruption and human rights abuses. But a new deterrent has risen out of China (and Russia); its people. Becoming interdependent with the world community for its peoples welfare and their growing standard of living, China can no longer consider military conquest part of its ideological goal of world dominion. They fear being overthrown by their own people when the hardships and suffering of war breeds dissatisfaction.

Again when I was growing up they had a TV commercial. A large group of old people in suits gathered in a field. Then, one walking up to the other, they started slugging it out. The message being; Why do our young people have to fight wars between leaders? And in todays world, where man is as far away as his computer from near most all other people of the world, where we hear the struggles and conflicts going on nearly in real time, most likely knowing people in our own lives who have lived or worked in those regions, we truly have become a world community. And most of the world, outside of tyrants and Islamic radicals, simply want to enjoy their lives with its inherent ambitions and dreams, and hope the same for everyone else in the world.

Yet violence grips our world still. Governments abuse their citizens and populations, fed with bitterness and resentment, set themselves against each other.

Iran threatens to destroy Israel with a nuclear strike. Are we to wipe out the Iranian people for their leaders evil intents? The people of Iran, without Obama's support, are apparently not enough of a deterrent.

North Korea too, sinking a South Korean patrol boat, threatens the world with nuclear weapons and a delivery system that may be able to reach the United States. Their people live in prison like conditions if not part of the party proper and those in power are not the ones who will suffer if we turn to greater sanctions.

In a world where rogue powers or terrorist groups could set off a nuclear weapon almost anywhere in the world what is a sufficient deterrent? Much like we target the leadership of terrorist groups with apparent success, governments of nations such as Iran and North Korea need to be targeted, not their people.

The first and preferred deterrent is to support the people. We missed a chance to support the Iranian people and can't let it happen again. The media and its extension, the entertainment industry, have failed to keep in the minds of the world on what North Korea is like. Don't think for an instance that the North Korean leaders are not empowered by the idea that no one in the world cares what they are doing within their borders.

Next we have to realize the nuclear climate has changed. Chances are very high that nuclear weapons will be used and not escalate to a world wide conflict. The possible attack(s) will most likely be singular events by terrorists or rogue nations that will extinguish their entire nuclear arsenal with their attack. And much like we used nuclear weapons against Japan to shorten the war and save lives maybe we should consider using them again. Todays deterrent should be that nations such as Iran and North Korea be promised the certain death of their government and military infrastructure, in short order, if they use weapons of mass destruction. Even to the point of using tactical nuclear weapons to guarantee that destruction.

And it must be known, as Dr. Strangelove so clearly pointed out. Yes, there would be collateral damage of the population with the use of nuclear weapons. But if the public knows a nuke will be dropped on their leader(s) within 24 hours guaranteed, what are the chances they wont capture or kill their leaders themselves?

It must be known. And if the United Nations cannot put together such a resolution, maybe the traditional nuclear powers, those that showed some sense of responsibility in holding the power, the United States, Russia, and China should make that clear to powers that preach violence and destruction.

Our current President has made the consequences of using weapons of mass destruction completely unclear and we find we are being challenged around the world. Our casualty rates are rising in our war zones, and North Korea is threatening.

Deterrents work. Iran needs to be targeted.

Is it the best course of action towards North Korea? North Korea is at a critical turning point. North Korea is on the verge of either retreating into deeper isolation and/or launching an invasion, or speeding up its excruciatingly slow opening to the rest of the world.

The attack on the South Korean patrol vessel has brought conflict to the South, as those opposed to the government reject the claims that it was an act of the North. The death of so many sailors has threatened the 'Sunshine Policy' many in the South have worked hard for. And the North is using the event to consolidate power among the Kim regime. Power that is backed by the military.

So would promise of nuclear retaliation against the members of their government be helpful? The North may use the threat to further bolster the position of Kim's brother-in-law, promoting that the west is in fear of his prowess, accomplishing beyond all hope the goal of the attack on the South. If they chose to look at it that way. And it will be an action that may assuage the rage of the South without any concrete change in current programs working to united the two Korea's. Both results could clear the air to resume relations and the slow opening of the North, or not. You never know what North Korea will do. And they like it that way.

I wrote a piece on uniting the two Koreas, some years ago now, and shortly afterwards the idea of amnesty for the leaders of the North, not a new idea, became well publicized in the South. My idea was Sanctuary, not amnesty.

Fear as a deterrent works well against tyrants who put their own well being above all others. But it can be a double edged sword. The greatest factor in liberating the North is to guarantee its current rulers that they will not face retribution for their actions against their own people and that they will also continue to prosper financially. The idea of sanctuary, where these leaders and those acting on their behalf would be consolidated, confined in many ways, to the capitol and its surrounding province is the most practical way to guarantee their well being. Already a party friendly region a separation between the offended and those who did the offending is the best way to guarantee their safety.

Ultimately the greatest deterrent against tyranny should be the people, as our founding fathers so well understood. North Korea is surrounded by populations more empowered everyday in China, Russia, and South Korea. I believe the younger generations have no interest in the divisive natures of the past. The liberation of the people of North Korea should be the goal. Looking to substantially punish the North, its communist leaders, with sanctions will only only hurt the people of North Korea and hamper the goal of unification as things stand today. And waiting for time, the new generations to gain power, to resolve the issue is an enormous and unjust cost for the people of North Korea to pay.

Harley Davidson

Over the Winter I commented on one of my more generic blogs about a Milwaukee based tea company that was striving for excellence, as so many companies in Milwaukee have been known for. I accentuated the idea with comments on Alterra Coffee, another company of high standards, built by some of my high school classmates. By those committed to the area, their roots.

When I was young and we moved to the suburbs, whether you call it white flight or suburban sprawl, when we wrote our return address on letters (do you remember when we used to write letters?), we always wrote 'Milwaukee' as the city, as did most everyone I knew who was in a similar situation. So strong the commitment to the area by its populace. I speculated that if not for such a commitment we would be Michigan, economy wise.

And now Michigan is attracting more jobs than Wisconsin. And an icon of Milwaukee, Harley Davidson, may be leaving Wisconsin altogether. The tax and environmental regulation corporate hell Wisconsin has become did not happen overnight. Companies have been leaving for some time and more are planning to as each month passes. Perhaps the loyalty of its citizens has become a detriment as Wisconsin is so far gone. I see little hope of keeping Harley Davidson in Wisconsin. And with Harley Davidson having worked hard to establish their museum here in Milwaukee over the last several years, you have to wonder if this withdrawal from the Milwaukee labor market, and all of Wisconsin, has been planned for some time. Building a substantial presence, substantial ties to the city, without having to tolerate union wages and a smothering tax burden.

Their closing of Buell Motorcycles, a company many believe had potential, may be part of the same plan. They still own the intellectual property, as I understand it, and could restart the company in another state or country.

And as citizen devotion has carried Wisconsin far beyond the point of no return, keeping market forces from responding to failed government policies forcing a correction, so has California's domination of our Pacific coast taken it to the same point. In Wisconsin, the continual loss of tax revenue generating jobs and companies along with a growing government that awards its employees with extravagant benefits and pensions far beyond what they put in, has already destroyed my beloved Wisconsin. Bankruptcy is not a potential future for our state, we have gone past that point. The state has done its best to cover up the fact but the reality can no longer be denied. Yet even now our Wisconsin government is creating incredibly large future obligations on the tax payers by looking to build mass transit that no one will ride.

Greece, and in part Spain and others with similar policies, has gone bankrupt with incredible ramifications for the EU that can be felt all over the world. How will the inevitable collapse of the economies of Wisconsin and California, as well as several other states, hurt the United States? And the ramifications for the rest of the world will be far more severe than those created by Greece.

So are the liberals, socialists or what ever label you want to give democrats just stupid, incompetent, without any idea of what to do, chasing LaLa Land dreams looking to leave the country in a complete state of collapse? Yes! And more unfortunately no.

Glenn Beck and others have been warning of massive inflation. Or possible deflation. There is no or. President Obama and the democrats are working to create massive inflation. Yes, they will claim they aren't, but that is only so they can blame corporate greed and the republicans when it arrives. After pulling a majority of the population into government jobs, or jobs that depend on government funds (what company doesn't?), the financial burden, not to mention the national debt, is to be relieved by shrinking their salaries through inflation. And with a depressed economy where else could anyone find another job, locking everyone in place, under complete government control.

That is how they see it, and of course it will fail. They have far overreached because control has always been their goal, not helping those they claim to be fighting for. There will be no private sector that could possibly be taxed enough to support this system (not to mention the retired baby-boomers social security and medicare), even with raising government salaries slower than the rate of inflation, all the while declaring these public employees heroes for their sacrifice. Their will be no motivation to invest in the United States. And Harley Davidson and other companies will eventually go elsewhere. Why would Harley Davidson keep the 'American Made' image as a marketing tool. No one here will be able to afford one.

April 15th Tea Party, Madison Wisconsin

A rainbow circled the sun in the middle of the Tea Party in Madison. Sorry the colors don't show well.

Supporters of Russ Feingold were there lining the far side of the street.

There was a lot more media there this year.

Food vendors were out in greater numbers than last year. Nothing speaks more to the attendance. There were 8,300 gathered last year. I would have to say it was about the same this year from my experience. We'll see what the final count produces as people were photographing from the rooftops.

An infiltrator? Hearing there would be infiltrators trying to put the Tea Party in a poor light by mis-spelling words and making obscene statements ect., this gentleman caught my attention as some reporter started interviewing him in great detail. I hadn't noticed his sign earlier.

No this is not a Tea Party member. This is some of the opposition across the street.

More opposition. As we were leaving they were talking aggressively to individual Tea Party members using foul language. Most likely trying to start a confrontation.

Thanks to Fight Back Wisconsin for organizing our bus. My non-white wife didn't attend this year as our dog was poisoned and trying to save it knocked our whole schedule off, so she couldn't make it. I was also impressed by the Oath Keepers.

Tea Parties, The Second Amendment and The Spirit of America

Many find it hard to explain the Tea Party phenomena. To understand what the Tea Parties represent one must first understand from what this nation arose. It arose from a people who desired a better life for themselves and their children and grandchildren for perpetuity. The limits of what they could achieve hindered only by their own imaginations. A nation built by immigrants from all over the world of a like mind, leaving everything behind following that vision of the shining city on a hill.

A people of unique character. A people when faced with a tyrannical government looking to take their hard earned gains and deny them justice through the judicial process, took up arms and shed their blood to be free. They gathered around representatives of their choosing. Sent their complaints to the authorities of the time and were rejected. Then under those same representatives declared their independence, formed militia and an army and took on the greatest power the world had ever seen.

Not just a movement to be free, but a movement to institutionalize those freedoms deemed inalienable into a government to insure those freedoms for all. What a unique character. Not acting out of fear, resentment or hate, but with control and clear purpose. And in this search for a better way of life for all, our founding fathers saw fit to include the right to bear arms. Seeing "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state."

This is the Tea Party movement. Citizens standing together in clear and responsible fashion seeking the freedoms they feel deep in their hearts. A vision of freedom expressed in our founding documents that at one time was taught in our schools. A group known for its courtesy, respect and even for keeping their protest grounds clean. The people letting their voices be heard and choosing who they decide represent their views and values.

There is Sarah Palin, and here in Wisconsin people like Paul Ryan and Scott Walker that carry the conservative cause of responsible (and responsive) government. There are assorted Governors capturing the notice of the public for their conservative common sense approach to the problems facing the people. These are the type of people that, if allowed, will be elected through the will of the people and turn this country back to its founding values.

But looking at Wisconsin with new voting regulations designed to promote voter fraud being proposed and the disbandment of ACORN, but then not really, one has to wonder how far the democrats will go to subvert the election process. Are we too late? Has tyranny grabbed hold of our nation? The election in November will be pivotal in finding where we stand. It is one of the most important elections in the history of this nation.

If the will of the people is thwarted, the people will find their voice in other ways. They will gather around their local representatives, their state governments, and take a stand much like our founding father's did. Not seeking to destroy, not turning to violence as so commonly does the left, but standing to defend their freedoms not only for themselves but the greater community and the future. Much like a body guard who understands that his first responsibility cannot be to kill the threat, to attack, but to put oneself between the threat and the one they are sworn to protect. To take the bullet.

This is what the second Amendment was intended for. For the people to organize behind those who reflect their values and if necessary protect those values by gathering in arms to defend the government of their choosing. And ultimately if the election process is subverted, we can look at the Minnesota Senate race as one example, so that the will of the people is oppressed, the nation will fracture. States will ultimately declare independence, most likely behind Texas, and the people will come out to defend their rights if necessary.

This is why the second amendment was written. This is how our founding fathers did it and this is how the people, expressing themselves through the Tea Parties will do it if required. This is the very Spirit of America.

Twitter and Such

I often have long periods where I don't write on this blog. Sometimes I have things I want to write about but my circumstances don't allow, or I can't get the concept complete in my head. So I thought I would add a Twitter feed with Twitter's convenient widget. So I started a Twitter account specific to this blog under my pen name. I've done this with another blog I write on poker. I also use that Twitter account to follow poker greats. This is Twitter's strongest attribute. To get a glimpse at one that excels in something one is interested in themselves, whether politics, a profession, sport or hobby. So I was already aware of how Twitter works, though I don't use it with my phone. I know your tweets don't just disappear from your profile.

So this ground breaking Internet application, what I originally heard described as a 'micro-blog', would be just the thing to keep a consistent input of content on my blog. ... So I thought.

I am not sure why I've caught the attentions of some. It doesn't appear I have a large following. Maybe it is because in the past I continually commented on a leftist blog. Something I gave up on over a year ago. Why give any recognition to nonsense. Maybe it is because I seem to be on the cutting edge of expressing what the liberals have planned, how they see the world. But others such as 'The Great One' and Rush or Glenn Beck make the same points to an extremely broader audience. (though I think I have been ahead of the game once or twice, ... heah... some one has to toot my horn).

So why have my tweets disappeared? How does that happen? Marked as spam or what? No one has to read my tweets. They have to search for me to even see them. Of course they were visible on my blog but how is it different from just posting the same content on this blog that my comments should be censored? They are all gone now except for my test tweets which consisted of "test" and "test 2". And there is no way I have found to actually ask Twitter what is going on.

"Health care for the Healthy, death formulus for the rest of us."

Another was a link to my most recent blog post here. Maybe there were one or two more. I'm not sure. Any comprehensive tweet has been removed.

And it is not only Twitter. I cannot remember how long ago it was that I made a comment on a Yahoo news article. But I am very sure it was not controversial. Yet these past two days I tried twice to comment on a Yahoo article, I have a Yahoo account, and it would not post.

And my interface to produce this blog is slow and obsolete, unlike my other blogs, which are under a different account. I do not have a spell check and cannot even upload video when producing a post. I needed to upload the following video to my you/tube account and then embed it here.

Do I need to say; "Thanks for reading?"

The attack on the Internet is ramping up. Is it just by non government entities? Even if so, expect the government to start a censorship campaign of its own soon.

A Civil War

So far.

And though more and more are questioning whether violent revolution is the only way to return this nation to its founding principles, civility still holds the upper hand in saving the day.

Individuals of reasoned thought and conscience recognized this struggle for the soul of America as a Civil War far too long ago. Unprepared, not taking seriously the threat, the right and moral majority were knocked on their tails, much like the North in the Battle of First Bull Run of 1861, until the forces of good were firmed up under the Reagan administration. A perpetual political stalemate has defined the following two decades, expressed in such platitudes as reaching across the isle, returning to the center and the peoples supposed desire for bipartisanship.

The Civil War of the 19th century (the 1800's) was not just a battle of North and South. It built over many decades motivated by a disgust for the immoral system of slavery. But it was also a clash of economic systems. The industrialized Northern economies heavily driven by capitalism and the plantation system of the South, dependent on slavery. And today too we are seeing the lines being drawn between those who believe in a free market, limited government economy and those who want, not really to redistribute the wealth, but to take wealth away from the prosperous and use it to grow government. Creating an army of citizens dependent on the government for a pay check, directly or indirectly. A system that sees the ruler as the enlightened and the ruled as unable to care for themselves. How else can you explain the passage of health care in the face of overwhelming opposition from the public?

Now, those of us on the right have reached the point, much like those in the Union, where we have come to realize that the only solution is the complete destruction of the opposition. No more delusions. Coexistence is not an option.

And those on the left have realized, much like their counterparts of days gone by in the South , that their survival can only be assured by taking the offensive. They have selected their top general and brought the battle to the North. A modern day Gettysburg. And we are caught in the Battle of Little Round Top. The Confederates, or in this case the liberals, have crested the hill. The most strategically valuable position on the battlefield. And the Union forces, those increasingly defining themselves as conservatives, have little to no ammunition remaining.

With nothing left and realizing the magnitude of their situation, the Union commander at Little Round top ordered a bayonet charge. Swinging a line of soldiers like a door over the Confederates flank. Then a company, thought lost in battle, rose up from behind their rocky shelter behind the enemy lines and let loose penetrating volleys of musket fire. And what appeared lost was saved.

Will this scenario be repeated? Will opposition from the states and political action groups rise up and defeat the health care monstrosity we are facing in the courts? Will those Reagan Democrats of days gone by rise up throwing in their support?

But shooting down this bill just passed, if even possible, will not be the end of it. The left will rally behind their false constructs of duty and honor and put everything into one final charge, much like Pickett's Charge of July 3rd 1863. The modern day equivalent being the mobilization of ACORN, and their multitude of election machines, to throw everything into what inevitably will decide the outcome of the war. The upcoming November elections. In the meantime expect their attacks on the Internet and media to seriously ramp up.

And as we see liberal instigated violence popping up on campuses in California and Wisconsin over tuition increases, expect more. The left will invest every resource they have to keep power in the next election. In a state such as Wisconsin, where the left could lose a Senate seat and several House seats, election fraud may not be enough to save the day. Violence at polling stations, and the left will be in the courts to invalidate the election results. Not just in the areas where the violence occurs, but the entire State. You could see the city of Milwaukee break out in violence and turmoil at polling stations and results all over the State, House districts nowhere near Milwaukee called into question. And all the better if they could send the entire nation into disorder. The left would love to see this nation locked in violent struggle. A dream come true for a complete power grab.

We are dealing with self proclaimed rulers who have no respect for those they deemed themselves worthy to rule, and no regard for the law or our Constitution. We need to continue to rally and protest vehemently. But we are far from the point, far too advance as a people, to revert to violence. We need to protect the election process. We need to believe in the processes our founding fathers established and in our fellow citizens.

And keep your guns where the government can't find them.

A Moral and Religious People

Did you recognize me in the video previously posted? My wife created it. She thought that picture really captured something special. A commercial that can be personalized and then sent viral as we all want to feel good about ourselves. And don't we all feel empowered, happy when we are spoken well of, encouraged, held in high esteem? And don't we all feel discouraged, defeated, lost when attacked personally? Of course who is proclaiming or attacking our reputation or how widespread the assertions are, determine much. Those closest to us can have the most dramatic impact, even determining the course of our lives.

In an ideal world we would all be supportive of each other. Never speaking a disparaging word about another, never having to. Of course we wouldn't go to war either. But we do go to war to preserve the good. And many die and people are spoken ill of in the process. And we are in a war, whether you want to call it a civil war, a revolution or counter revolution, our nation is locked in a struggle for its very soul.

Conservatives and people of values have been mercilessly attacked in the public forum and now the people are waking up and fighting back. I am comfortable with my statements concerning the left and President Obama. I see the freedoms this nation was founded on disappearing, being taken away.

But turning back the liberal/communist forces seeking to take control over every aspect of our life, the forces of big government, cannot truly revive this nation. Kicking out the forces of godless socialism and returning to limited government alone is only a stop gap solution if we don't become a moral country.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

If we do not drastically turn back the culture of death, most notably the wide spread use of abortion, address the issue of homosexuality, and refuse to tolerate dishonesty and dishonor corrupting our politics and science, the United States is doomed to decline like so many other civilizations in the past. It would be a tragedy for the entire world.

Yes, homosexuality is a threat to our military and nation. As an issue of human rights I feel I need to make clear my views. We don't as a society generally involve ourselves in the personal lives of others. Certainly we don't want to irresponsibly demean others, but we have to aspire to the highest standards to remain a moral nation.

Some say that is how God made them. I say we made this fallen world not God, and to return Him is to resolve the problems we created. Problems we all collectively have a stake in.

Prayer has been documented to 'cure' homosexuality in some cases. Yet we have given so much credibility to the idea that homosexuality is natural, that other churches have acknowledged it as part of God's creation. A 60 Minutes episode had a story of a researcher who was linking homosexuality to a hormone surge in the womb at the time of a persons birth. Don't we have hormone therapies that can change a man from a woman or visa versa? It seems as soon as any possible physical cause was found we stopped there, and just surrendered to a homosexual 'culture.'

We are mapping the genome and may find answers there, if we haven't already. And epigenetics opens whole new doors of research. Epigenetics links how are genes operate in response to the experiences of our ancestors. For example grandparents suffering through famine and the corresponding traits found in their grandchildren. Truly a link to man's lifestyle choices (not God's) shaping the world we live in. All pointing to practical solutions to homosexuality.

I would not be surprised if the majority of the homosexual community were offended by the idea that they should change their sexual preferences. But I also would not be surprised if the majority would be supportive of a therapy for young people if the trait could be identified and reversed, so to speak.

To revive this nation we need to be free to speak out against a homosexual 'culture' and powerfully promote traditional families as a nation. Not that any individual should be needlessly degraded in our society, we all fall short of the standard, but not acknowledging God's ideals, welcoming the joys and blessings He designed in them, hurts us all. I noticed most of the radio talk show hosts in my area are single, and though they very occasionally allude to the fact that they are in a relationship, they don't openly support and definitely don't encourage sex outside of marriage. It is not love and understanding to just submit to a fallen reality, whether in ourselves or others.

That is the only response you deserve, President Obama, after the complete disrespect you showed the Supreme Court and disregard for our Constitution in your State of the Union address.

"I know that there are those who disagree with the overwhelming scientific evidence on climate change." Would that be the science that has been clearly demonstrated to be fraudulent? And cutting taxes always raises revenues President Obama. Maybe you can buy an economist or two, but credible economists on both sides contradict your claims on the stimulus and jobs. And I know you find this hard to believe, but people living outside the inner cities of democrat party run cities know all this.

Enough said. This President will not give up on the Marxist goals they, those holding the democrat party hostage, hold dear. They are not backing down on health care. They are not stopping the billions of the failed stimulus package still to be handed out for campaign support, aka votes.

The fight for the soul of this nation is far from over. 2010 will be a year of struggle between the forces of ACORN and Tea Party supporters. Struggles with local governments over voting irregularities. A struggle that will ultimately spill into the courts. Only 2013 will reveal if this nation will fall to tyranny or not.

It is the time the left will realize, if they haven't already, that now is the time to go for it all. Their last chance. And they will show no regard for the rights or well being of any who may stand in their way. It is the way every socialist/Marxist system that denies God has gone.

And for those of us who are past middle age, who remember the Cold War, and have a functioning intellect and conscience capable of discerning right from wrong, we see and understand clearly the tactics of the enemy. One of which is to break the moral fabric of the target society. The continual indoctrination of school children, at increasingly younger ages, in the management of sex and sex by-products being one part of the lefts strategy to subvert the people and attain complete control.

But over this last year, when everything looked so hopeful for the left to take over this nation, 'we the people' pushed back. We spontaneously responded, networking over the Internet and alternative media. Our voice is sweeping the nation, a portent of true change. A return to limited government.

Thank God for the Supreme Court ruling on corporate campaigning. 'We the people' can see who shares our values and direct our funds to those companies that do. And if those companies are not sincere, we will all soon find out on some blog somewhere. A way to offset the influence of government funds going to organizations and companies that support big government, organizations like Planned Parenthood, ACORN and its various reincarnations, and all those new green industries the government is looking to create.

And Thank God for the NRA for protecting our second amendment rights. Our right to revolt, or duty in the face of tyranny according to our founding fathers. Nothing can stop our opposition to a true tyranny if it should come to pass. Except.... the military. The military, a bastion of our finest Americans, like many who have coalesced behind the tea parties. Citizens of service and moral fortitude. Perhaps the only entity that is keeping us free.

When you step back and look at the bigger picture, the longer history, is it any surprise the left has been promoting homosexuality in the military. If the moral fiber of the military is broken, if military life becomes a petty process of conforming to political correctness (remember Fort Hood), we are all in deep doo doo, if we cannot turn the leftests back now.

But maybe we can put the homosexual men in the women's barracks and visa versa..... maybe prayer isn't the only cure for homosexuality.

A Piece of Fiction?

"I'll be right Back."

Dietrich said, as he slid out of his seat, the door of the pickup screeching closed behind him. It was an old American-made pickup. A canvas covered their most treasured possessions in the truck bed. Much less conspicuous on the back roads they were traveling than a family in a sedan, heavy in the trunk.

The sound of his boots on the crushed stone of the parking lot, sharp and piercing in the almost unnatural quiet.

'The peace of country life.' Dietrich tried to convince himself.

The air was thick and hot,and the mid-afternoon sun shown strong through the haze like atmosphere. The relative cool outside the cab brought a faux sense of relief. It was the time of year and the time of day when fierce storms seemed to materialize out of nowhere. But Dietrich was early.

He had headed north, paying a visit to his parents. A ruse to throw off the authorities. Afterwards making contact with a friend of a friend... of a friend of a high school classmate, making the switch from their sedan to this off the market heap of a pickup. Their best chance for escape, for freedom, as best they could imagine it.

With no job in the small town where they lived, and the constant and growing visits from an increasingly intrusive civil service, Dietrich looked to the new western nations, with their booming economies, as the chance for a better life. An opportunity he dare not let pass. Though originally from the big city, the great conflict had left it a burned out shell. The local capital of the never-ending queue of hopelessness. Where all wait their turn for a piece of the promised never nearing bounty to come, resting just beyond the horizon. Beyond one more campaign against the enemies of the people. One more damn or highway or factory, all constructed under the guidance of the great leader, who alone could open the floodgates of prosperity.

But Dietrich was hardly the only or the first with the same idea. The government had already closed all the main roads and was quickly closing off the entire border. Winding through small farming hamlets along country roads and highways, he found himself at a roadside canteen called 'Shults'.' An establishment housed in a generic structure, which served like all such country outposts a fare unique to its part of the country. In this case, a specialty meat battered and deep fried, and of course a home made brew.

He stretched his stiff legs, walking slowly towards the service counter. The young girl at the window looked his way and, with a nervous start, stepped away from her window into a back room.

'Fear'

Dietrich's life had hardly been easy, without its own traumas and corresponding terrors. Fear was something he had taught himself to treat with disdain. With a veiled huff he approached the service window. Leaning in slightly he called,

"Hey, can I get some service?"

Both defiance and caution ringing in his voice.

A long silence followed.

Then the door to the back room flung open. The young girl, a high school student at best, strode out slapping the key to the men's room down on the counter. She quickly turned and walked away, fixing her gaze upon the deep fryer, standing motionless.

His hand slid over the cool stainless steel, gripping the well-worn wood block attached to the key. A sinking feeling growing in his gut, he turned slowly heading for the far side of the building. Rounding the corner he shoved the key into the men's room lock. A quick forceful thrust opened the sticky door. It slammed behind him as he entered.

A urinal, evident by smell if not by sight, a sink and a stall, and a curious apprehension highlighted the spacious, for its type, room. Before Dietrich could wonder about what he had gotten himself into the door flew open. A middle aged bearded man swiftly stepped inside, watching the door close behind him, his hand keeping it from slamming.

"Are you Dietrich?" He asked.

"Are you Jason?" Replied Dietrich, waiting for the proper response.

"No, I'm Freddie."

"Then I'm Dietrich."

Named neither Jason nor Freddie, the bearded man's face sneered. Marching forward, pushing Dietrich back chest to chest he grabbed Dietrich's shirt collar with both hands, slamming him against the toilet partition.

"You were told not to tell anyone, punk!"

Dietrich instinctively brushed away the bearded man's arms, pushing him back.

"What are you talking about?"

The bearded man setting one hand on the partition leaned in strong. With teeth clenched and trying not to raise his voice said,

"You told your father!"

A dark cloud covered Dietrich's face. His dad...? He wondered why he had expected anything different. But he always did.

The bearded man stepped back and closing in on a whisper, words in quick succession, the tension never leaving his voice said,

"You're lucky. I shouldn't even be here. Keep south and turn onto the first gravel road on your right. After some miles you'll see a sign shaped like a steer with a farmers access road in front of it. Take it! It will take you to a small stand of trees. On the other side turn right through the field towards the river. You should be able to drive right through there. The border is several hundred yards beyond."

He raised his finger to Dietrich's face and said,

"Wait here till you hear me leave."

Walking away he stopped at the door and without turning back said,

"If you make it to the river they'll probably give up."

And he was gone.

Dietrich stood silent. The sound of a kick and a motorcycle throttling up came from behind the canteen. He listened as the bike sped off to the north, then stepped out of the men's room.

Support little and far between, and ultimately rejection was nothing new to Dietrich. He was in his natural element. Shoulders bent, head ever so slightly raised, holding something just short of a smile, he came around the corner exuding an odd confidence. Depositing the key at the service window, making his way towards the pickup, he spied a man on the phone on the near side of the canteen.

He noticed the utility room door slightly open, a broken lock resting on the ground. Leaning on the wall, staring down, the man on the phone looked up as if in response to Dietrich's own stare. A cold breeze drifted through the thick humid air. A chill and a shiver shot up the man's spine, but Dietrich smiled coolly. Never missing stride he walked calmly to the pickup.

Hopping in, fumbling with the keys to the pickup, his hand shook uncontrollably. With a deep breath and one swift motion he slid the key into the ignition and turned. There was a grumbled rumble and Dietrich dropped the engine into gear, gently pulling out onto the country highway.

Checking his rear view mirror, no one followed. The highway with its gentle rises and hollows ran due south through an endless sea of farms. The ride grew long and Dietrich pondered with the idea that he had missed the road, but couldn't see how. Then off in the distance, atop a far off rise in the road he saw them. A small column of military vehicles was heading their direction.

Dietrich's grip tightened on the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white, his breathing shallow. As the column disappeared behind a rise he sped up quickly, hoping to God he had not missed the turn. Anticipating their reappearance he slowed, waiting for his next opportunity, trying not to draw their attentions. After the third sighting he saw the gravel road at the bottom of a hollow and sped forward. Breaking at the last moment, nearly squealing to a stop, he turned. Slowly proceeding down the gravel road, not to kick up an unusual amount of dust, he let himself breath.

Cresting a small hill, leaving the highway out of sight without any apparent pursuit, they felt safe for the moment. After driving past countless fields of crops and patches of woods they saw the sign a mile or so in the distance. Dietrich had been keeping a generic speed, as if they belonged, but now their speed grew as the distance shortened.

Turning onto the dirt access road the pickup rocked softly forward and back, side to side. The stand of trees, stretching in a long line, was closer than he imagined.

Plop. Plop. Splat!

An ear of corn seemed to vaporize above the road before them. Dietrich turned and leaned out the window. Looking back down the gravel road he saw large dark clouds of dust rushing towards them. A well equipped jeep and military transports, loaded with soldiers at the ready leaning over the sides, were racing after them. Adrenaline rushed through his veins, the river flooded his thoughts.

Plop. Splat. Plop. Plop.

Warning shots sprinkled the road in front of them.

Eyes set forward Dietrich crushed the accelerator to the floor. A stutter and shudder exploded into a fierce roar as the carburetor snapped full open.

"Four! - Fifty! - Four!" shot through his head in word and spirit, bringing a moment of hope and a grin, as they were pressed hard against the back of the seat. The heap of a pickup lunged and leaped powerfully over the well rutted dirt road.

The gunfire grew into a steady din, ever closing as they made the shelter of the trees. Instantly the trees broke into chaos. Leaves rustling, boughs tossed to and fro in disbelief that they were not torn from their trunks, as two military helicopters crossed swiftly overhead.

The pickup burst out the other side of the stand of trees. Slipping and sliding, fishtailing over the field as Dietrich fought to keep control. Ripping through row upon row of corn he managed to point the pickup towards the river. It shook and trembled, cutting over the furrowed field. The stalks smashed and slid under and over the pickup with the sound of a tempest pouring down a tin roof.

The pickup steadied as it hit a rhythm with the field. The river was quickly approaching as the sound of something like a freight train, a freight train that had left its tracks, boomed in the background.

Dietrich looked over at his baby girl. A dazed blank look covered her face. As their gazes met, her eyes brightened and twinkled. She broke out into a big toothless smile and he couldn't help but smile back as tears welled up. Looking to his wife, that one encouragement with that look that he would make everything alright, the hood shattered the windshield. Engine exploding, wheels shredded as fifty caliber machine gun shells ripped through the front of the pickup driving it hard into the ground, blowing off the drivers door. Rockets exploding all around, their vehicle lifted into the air.

Floating free Dietrich instinctively stretch his arm forward, his fingertips ever so slightly brushing the top of the cab as the pickup spun out of reach. Pieces of canvas, pictures, clothing, shredded vegetation, earth and fire filled the air. Gases and dust filtering the light giving the entire atmosphere a strange unearthly hue. overcome with shock everything seemed as a dream, a foreign landscape upon some other world.

But this was no nightmare Dietrich could shatter with force of will. His face terror struck, eyes fixed intensely on the pickup with longing and dread, he stained to catch even a glimpse into the cab, the pickup spinning on end round and round in almost a blur. A life that could have been flashed before his eyes. In what felt like an eternity but less than seconds, the truck smashing to the ground upside down, flames saturating the surrounding cropland.

Tossed and tumbled, Dietrich rolled up on all fours. His eyes ached pushed deep into their sockets, lids clenched closed. Blood and sweat streamed from his body, tears pour down his face. The air whirling around him as the second helicopter had instantly moved in overhead.

"Why, why, why God why?"

Dietrich lamented, as his guts wrenched, every muscle in his body stressed tight. Betrayed by his country. Betrayed by his family. Betrayed by himself, for how could he think of going on? He wanted to die. Collapse, sink into the earth and be no more, but surrender was something he had never given anyone.

Overcome with the shock and horror his mind went blank. One hand squeezed the mud that had been parched earth moments before as his other hand, without conscience awareness, reached slowly back. His fingers feeling for the shells in his pocket, a tingle shot up his arm at their touch, as the first helicopter hovered into position, returning from its strafing run.

Raising his head he saw just yards before him his loaded twelve gauge. Beginning with a crawl and then jumping to his feet Dietrich ran for his gun. He tried to scream but the bursts of air from the helicopter rotors halted his breath. Every inch of his body cried with pain, clinging to his skin like rain drenched clothing. Gasping for air through clenched teeth, amidst muffled sounds of shouts and the click of machine gun bolts, he let out a low growl, grabbing up his shot gun and turning towards the river.

Snapping the safety off he looked skyward towards his foe. Suspended beyond the doors of the pair of helicopters were two gun man, faces hidden behind visors, barrels pointed straight down, just letting loose their thirty calibers.

Ducking his head with elbows raised and knees lifting high to shield himself, earth, stone and burning metal splashed and slashed upon impact of a hail of gunfire, as he ran and spun, the ground rippling under his feet. Shooting blind the smooth slide action of his shotgun kept continuous motion as round after round of triball buckshot flew woefully into the air. Like spit in the wind in the face of overwhelming firepower.

Spit that hit its mark.

Havoc broke out on one of the helicopters, almost sending it into the other, before both veered off in opposite directions, settling far afield into a steady deliberate rotation around his position.

In a half run half stagger he made his way towards the river. Eyes scanning the shallows, he found himself amidts a sudden calm. But inside he had no calm. He longed to turn around, to look back, no longer knowing why, his heart aching at the thought.

As his foot sank into the softness of the river bank, Dietrich paused. He set his eye upon the horizon. Looking upon that vision of freedom he would give anything to share. Not knowing exactly where it started he knew it was there. An empty smile burst briefly across his face, a quiver over his cheek.

A bright flash from beyond the trees on the far side of the field lit up the corner of Dietrich's eye. The sound to arrive later. but not before the inevitable impact... as his eye came to rest upon that Lone Star State.

Term Limits? ..... No!

As we deal with an out of touch Congress, defying the will of the people and burying us all in legislation that they don't even understand, many have propounded term limits as the solution. If it were such a great idea our founders would have put it into the Constitution. They, like us today, wanted Congress to be made up of common men. They implemented this desire through age requirements.

Twenty-five years is the minimal requirement for elected office in the Constitution. And where was the average twenty-five year old in the 18th century? He was most likely married with his own family established. Already a businessman, artisan or professional of some type and known in his community for his own individual accomplishments.

And where is an average twenty-five year old today? He may very well still be living with his parents. He has most likely applied for his first job, but not necessarily. If he is one seeking higher education, he (or she) could still be in school, and if seeking a career in academia will remain there.

And how different is an academic career from a political career? Right out of school one can work for a political machine. A government subsidized position requiring, obvious when you look at what is passing for legislation these days, only the ability to move ones mouth. Many of those that can claim private sector experience had token positions, gained through the influence of money and family. Put into a holding pattern until the opportunity for them to run for office presented itself.

Yes, some have true private sector experience, but is any industry free from political/big government ties these days? Some use their military service as a platform. And a few, from whatever background, are just truly good people. But for the most part our nation is sufferring from politics as a profession. Where serving politics trumps common sense experience as a requirement. We could blame the media again, for they powerfully influence what the public considers a legitimate requirement or not, but they don't vote for us.

Looking at this life expectancy chart one can see that the average life span from 1850 to present has doubled. And for those who reached the age of thirty, they are expected to live some thirteen years longer today than those in 1850's. One may easily claim that the life of a twenty-five year old in past centuries would be equivalent to the position one finds himself in at thirty-five in our present era. I'm not sure if many even run for congress at twenty-five.

There is clear justification to raise the current age limits for elected office. As it stands one must be twenty-five to run for the House of Representatives, and thirty-five for the Senate and the Presidency. I would suggest raising the age requirement by ten years, fifteen for the President.

OK.... in this modern age that will help, but wont weed out the career politicians. But term limits would only push them out of their seat and into a lobbiest position which is nearly the same thing.

So how does one get a grip on Congress? Maybe the grip was lost when we put term limits on the Presidency? The balance of power, so wisely designed by our forefathers, being disrupted. Having Presidents labeled lame ducks for large portions of their Presidency. Having a political positioning frenzy on both sides when no incumbant with clear policies and direction can challenge. Having a Congress that can wait out a President, and/or the back and forth sways of power, to push through their control building agendas. And an important check and balance is being compromised.

Yes, end the term limits for the President and increase the age requirements through a Constitutional Amendment. And maybe we need to pull back some of the extension of the executive branch such as the EPA. (those Czars are already outside the Presidents powers as far as I understand)

We can say that the scale of the federal government shields our representatives from being held accountable in elections, unlike our local politicians, but that accountability factor doesn't exist for the President. The one position that people take seriously and look to hold accountable, that's the position we put limits on?!

I know this plays into the liberal desires for President Obama to hold office for life, but the reality is we would all be better off. And only corruption, successfully implemented on a scale never before seen, could keep him in office. And if that exists only revolt will save us.

Beach-head Wisconsin

I was talking to the husband of our local minister many years back now. He mentioned a camping trip where he met a Chinese national on vacation. The China man, with great confidence was not shy in telling this gentleman, as they enjoyed the beauty of our State Park system, that someday all this (the United States) would belong to China.

Madison Wisconsin has long been considered a liberal stronghold in the United States. It is a national leader in raising taxes, state government employment, the medical industry soon to be socialized, and environmental restrictions on industries, driving many free market companies out of the state. Governor Jim Doyle, proclaiming his presence at the climate conference in Copenhage, leads the charge in developing highly government subsidized green industries.

And 'pay for play' has been the status quo in the Doyle administration. But with the shrinking economy and a bankrupt state treasury there is little left to dish out to his supporters in terms of contracts, grants and new state employment opportunities. And his supporters, the supporters of the democrat party, have little left to give, as they have sold their souls, supporting an unsustainable system for their own profit, and now it's time to pay in the form of exorbitant taxes.

But socialism, the communist cause in all its manifestations, is a worldwide movement. And you may not agree with me, but I believe is more than simply a shared ideology. That the ties and organization are deeper and as old as Joseph McCarthy himself. Oh! Now I've lost credibility? Not according to the KGB files.

And salvation has come to the democrat party of Wisconsin. A new source of political funding rolling in with nearly an unlimited supply of cash, has landed on our shores. A Chinese developer has purchased a sprawling abandoned mall complex and will bring in some 200 Chinese companies to sell their made in China products. Many products never before seen in the United States. And the majority of workers will be coming directly from China and will be recieving government funds through a program that supports immigrant workers.

But hope remains. Conservatism has many powerful representaives in Wisconsin.

We'll hold out as long as we can.

Bull's-Eye Thomson

Again today, I heard the moving of terrorist suspects from Guantanamo to a federal facility in Thomson Illinois discussed on talk radio.

Yes, the implication that they will be tried in civil courts puts our security network and personnel in great peril, endangering all of us.

And yes, our past experience with liberal policies tells us that many of these often battlefield hardened terrorist suspects could be released onto our streets through our judicial processes.

And yes, the world still thinks we are violating the human rights of these terror suspects.

In defense the government and liberals claim they are creating jobs and that no one has ever broken out of a federal prison. I'm not sure if that is an accurate statement, considering the track record of the left actually getting their facts correct. But as far as recent history it could very well be true.

Breaking out? ... What about breaking in? I've heard commentators allude to the danger but no one has spelled it out clearly. These are commrads arms of a world wide terrorist network controling vast resources and the hearts and minds of its devotees.

The Obama administration claims no more than 100 detainies will be held there. Or in other words a company. That is a military designation.

Yes, gathering the weapons and explosives necessary for a successfull operation would be difficult. Under our past administration I would say that the planners would most likely be caught in the process. Even getting the numbers necessary together would probably be detected,... especially if we can profile.

Simply attacking and shutting the prison down would be a propaganda victory for our enemies. That in itself is motivation enough. And remember Fort Hood. Terrorists taking the prison and bringing in weaponry would cost scores of American lives. And worse case scenerio would be squads of terrorists escaping into the surrounding area on suicidal rampages.

Yes, this administration and its liberal hordes are willing to put all of us at risk to show us they know better.

Advantage Tyranny

I'm not sure if prison for those not conforming to the proposed health care bill is still included or will make the final version. If so you can call me a crimminal now. But does it really matter now that breathing has made us all polluters; evil doers in the eyes of our government? Some have suggested that the continual studies on the disproportionate populations of blacks in our prisons is designed for the release of our inner city populations to make room for prisoners of another type. Now that sounds a bit over the edge, but....

The Heritage Foundation has recently highlighted a new book; "Three Felonies a Day: How the Feds Target the Innocent." The book goes into the legal history and dangers to our democracy. Yes, the laws and regulations of this great nation have become so vast and vague that one cannot go through the day without committing a crime. In other words the federal government can put anyone in prison whenever they like. So now we are all crimminals.

When our elected representatives protest their constituants expectation of reading the bills they vote on; and who could with the size of some of them. When few if any even write the bills, we are not talking about taxation without representation (that was one of the complaints of our founding fathers for those of you who finished their education in the last ten years or so) but legislation without representation. I'm hoping for the day when someone will use that as a defense. Showing that their representative, and a majority of others never read or even knew of the regulations they were voting for.

This is why those behind President Obama, Rezko, Ayers, his Czars and others, are more the man than he. The ones who should have been covered in a vetting of the President that the state media refused to do.

Veterans Day

A Big thank you to our many veterans on this special day to commemorate their sacrifices great and small. A day established in rememberance of the end of hostilities in the 'Great War.' 'The War to End All Wars.' A modern war judge so horrific by the entire world that many thought no one would dare fight another.

In esscence a day that honored all who ever served on the eve of what many hoped to be the advent of world peace. Overly naive, but telling of the hopes of free men and the militaries made up of free men. Our veterans and current military serve to protect freedom and prosperity for all, and ultimately for the goal of world peace. And those who believe otherwise are incapable of honoring those who served.

Today my wife and I with other fellow tea party participants gathered at Veterans Park in Milwaukee to recognize the ratification of our Constitution (September 17) and to speak out against a corrupt government. A preponderance of women spoke and people of nearly every race. Most notable was Michelle Malkin; on the big screens. She is just too cute. There ought to be a law.

... Not to give the government any ideas.

The Final Frontier

There are plenty of people speaking on last nights speech by president Obama. I doubt my comments would vary to any great degree (thanks for speeking for all of us Representative Wilson). I never imagined when I first started this blog that I would be writing so much about our own nation.

We were all proud, to one degree or another, when the first black President was elected. Racism is a great evil, but when law suits are won and pay big so easily and... we've actually elected a black President, is racism an issue any longer? Once the general public is aware of, admits to, recognizes the evil and acts against it in a powerfull and public manner does racism need to hold center stage in our pursuit of a just society? Are not the greatest evils, injustices, the ones no one recognizes; no one will stand against?

We are mired in world wide conflicts based on religious fanatacism. Israel, India, Lebenon, Somalia and Bosnia some of the areas of the world torn by religious strife for centuries. In China Christianity and the Falun Gong are common victims of religious persecution.

In China mental illness is often used as a tool to discredit and detain the membership of Falun Gong. Christians in our own nation, at least those whom take their faith seriously, should be wary of nationalized health care.

The reality is religious bigotry is the greatest injustice the world still needs to confront, not racism. And Christianity is far from innocent in this regard. If you take the mantra that 'you reap what you sow' seriously is it any wonder that Christianity, when it should be leading the nation and world, is continually under attack and discredited by the media.

Here is a you/tube mini documentary on a man in Japan who was detained, locked away in a small apartment and denied any contact with the outside world, for over twelve years. Who did this to him? His family. Why? Because he was a member of a group labeled a cult. Who promotes these 'deprograming' acivities? The majority of such programs are sponsored by Christian churches in some form or another. In the United States many Christians, most clearly the Baptist, were deeply involved in ' deprograming' in the past. After famous deprogrammers here ended up in federal prison on kidnapping and other charges some three decades ago the tactics have fallen out of favor or gone underground.

That is my church, the Unification Church of the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, now 90 years old. His autobiography has currently been on the best selling list in Korea for several months and will be published in English by the Washington Times, owned by Reverend Moon, and available in the United States by years end.

A Tutorial in Civics

In "The Passing of Korea," a book I have referred to in the past, the British author described the fate of those public officials who abused their power and refused to respond to the complaints of the people. Eventually the community came together razed their homes and dropped them at the outskirts of the community. Here in the United States, to be tarred and feathered and/or run out on a rail were not mere cliche in times past. There was an age when striking someone who insulted your, or your family's, honor would not be considered criminal or even inappropriate.

But today is very different. We are told that we cannot use force greater than what we perceive we are being threatened with to defend ourselves or face criminal prosecution. To call 911 and let the police handle it. If we aren't liberal darlings and protest at town halls we are called a mob, among other things. Attacked not only by politicians but the media as well. Deemed ignorant, incapable of understanding the issues or even the words, that unlike our elected officials, we read in the proposed health care legislation. All for lacking the expected... no, demanded humble submission.

Still the people, overriding the media, have delivered their message clear and strong on health care. Yet amidst certain political defeat, evident in polls and recent political history, for those who would vote for nationalized health care, legislation that gives all our financial and medical records to the government, the democrats still consider using their majority in both houses to push the bill through. We should all seriously contemplate why they may be willing to go this route. What they see in the future.

Are they lost in the delusions created by the mainstream media, the beltway culture? Do they seriously believe (correction 'feel,' they are liberals) people will forget before the election? The bill doesn't go into effect, if it passes, for four more years. And that stimulus money will be going into peoples pockets in unison with the campaign season. How many of us are getting accustom to holding out our hands, now with the 'cash for clunkers' program? You know. The government making sure we get the newest cars with the newest technologies. That microphone where people can hear you from anywhere in the world... when you're in trouble. They know where you are (what you're saying) and what's wrong with your car at all times so we can all feel safe knowing that we are being watched over.

Is the government confident that the people wont have the power to throw out their overseers? ACORN, under a variety of names now and funded by the government, can send its paid orange vested or green, pink or whatever shirted lackeys to repress and intimidate on demand. Government with its fees and regulations, determining policies as to who is eligible for funding, projects, grants etc. etc. literally holds authority over prosperity for more and more. With all the growing requirements and taxes, not to mention the proposed dictates to provide health insurance or be fined, can any small business survive? Can any new businesses form without the government's tacit approval? Already does any business get ahead today without campaign contributions to the status quo? ...Not in Wisconsin.

The reality is our way of life is in danger. This great light of freedom that brightens the whole world is in peril of being snuffed out. So I thought I would help you all prepare for what may become necessary in the very near future. Having lived through many a demonstration season during my time in Korea I learned a few things about protesting in the streets and naturally turned to YouTube to find some teaching aids. It wasn't as easy as I thought, but I found some videos that you may find educational originating from Iran.

OK... The video was removed by the user within four hours. The gist of it was scenes of protesting in Iran with Iranian and English captions explaining some tactics. Wetting the mask or scarf over your face and nose with vinegar to counter the tear gas, how to survive a baton attack and a few ways to fashion some home made tire spikes. Does this mean I'm on the government watch list and there's an organized effort to frustrate the efforts of those Obama deems undesirable?

They recommend vinegar to help offset the effects of the tear gas. When I was in Korea they used toothpaste. And in the following video you can clearly see the drastic reaction, something I have personally experienced, that the camera man and others had without even being in the fog of the gas. Remember the images of the tank at Waco with that huge tube poking into the building pouring out mass quantities of thick gas? And then there was the bulldozing of the site and the failure of the refrigeration system at the morgue that liquefied all the bodies. Is it surprising that Bill Clinton and Kim Jung Il could reach an understanding on his recent trip?

The New "N" Word

Actually it is an old word; Nazi.

Nancy Pelosi has now added to the, fast becoming badge of honor, title right wing extremist wing nut mob etc. etc. etc. the label of Nazi. And another (I forget who and don't care to look it up, do these people really warrant any attention at all anyway) has proclaimed the term 'socialist' the new "N" word.

Trying, without substance, to demean their opponents the tactic has backfired. We all know the evil intent behind the Nazi cause. The great atrocities committed, including genocide, experimentation on human subjects and the pursuit of eugenics. For the longest time, as we vilified the communist block for their crimes against humanity, and just the overwhelming horror of the actions of the Nazis' the ideology of the Nazi state has received scant attention.

No more. Yes, the Nazis' were socialists too. They had a clear ideology that translated into state policy. And now what the left has done is turn our attention to those policies; socialist policies refined to fit the Nazi model. Many similar to what our representatives want to weave into the fabric of our nation.

But where's the evil intent you may ask? When God is excluded and we are all mere material...

Melbourne International Film Festival

Unlike Hollywood independent film makers routinely take on the tough current issues of our time. The Melbourne International Film Festival is one of those venues where such films can find an audience.

I was first made aware of the controversy surrounding this years Festival listening to BBC World on the radio. China has protested the screening of a documentary on exiled Uihger leader Rebiya Kadeer, and is even accused of hacking into the festival's computers in retaliation. A real documentary, unlike Al Gore's Oscar winning farce. It also may have caused three Chinese film makers to remove their entries, of their own initiative... or not. Another film was removed because the Festival recieved support from Israel.

Other films featured, "Stolen" and "Balibo."

Health Care

Nationalized Healthcare. Why?

I'm educated in Architecture and Art History yet the health care plan I proposed, nearly two years ago, is vastly superior than anything President Obama's backers can put together (because President Obama isn't actually doing anything himself, he doesn't even know what's in the bill). Just run the numbers.

We just passed nearly $1 Trillion bail out and conservative estimates for health care reform are $1.6 trillion over the next decade. My plan was HSA's (health savings accounts), subsidized and unsubsidized, and catastrophic insurance policies. At a supposed 47 million uninsured and a figure of $1 trillion, that gives everyone uninsured $21,000 dollars in an HSA. That would grow $420 a year at 2% interest.

Now, you have many who are so rich they do not need insurance. Take them out of the mix. The well off who don't want to buy insurance; require them to create a dedicated HSA for $30,000 or possibly more and catastrophic coverage. Those not quite as well off; matching funds to the required amounts. The truly poor, just set the account up for them at $30,000 or more depending on how much is saved from reductions of the previously mentioned groups. Save even more by giving the young who have fewer health costs a smaller HSA. A family of four could total approximately $80,000 in an HSA ($1,600/yr at 2%).

These would require monthly contributions which, will grow the accounts quickly for the young. For those who cannot afford the contribution or catastrophic policy the government can subsidize the costs. If you have 10 million people completely subsidized for their required HSA donation and catastrophic coverage, let us say an average of $4oo/mth, $4800/yr that comes to less than $50 billion a year. That's half a trillion over the next decade. I just saved the government $100 billion.

And while the government is working a kind of wealth redistribution, the funds are going into the free market which will drive costs down as people shop for the best price.

But Nationalized Health care is not really about providing care or wealth redistribution that the President is so fond of. As people find more and more out about the current bill they are mortified. It is about control. Complete government control. If President Obama truly believed in wealth redistribution, health care would be the way to get it done with the greatest benefit for all. People do not need wealth to be happy. Or to be the same as everyone else to live a fulfilled life. But the one material reality that contributes the most to one's happiness and sense of security, outside of food and shelter, is health care.

For the projected costs of nationalized health care, which will turn out to be astronomically higher when it's finished, I have given the uninsured coverage, security, empowerment..... Freedom. What are our elected officials doing?

All in a Days Work

So what did President Obama think the President of the United States, leader of the free world, would have to do? He complains about all the work he was left with and the problems that he has to face as if every other President had it easy.

Let me do some of his work for him.

I am a firm believer in the 'Sunshine Policy' South Korea has been instigating. And we should even increase the assistance as we work to shut down North Korea's weapons trade at the same time. I have written before in my simple way, based on my life experience and world view, on what I see as a solution for the Korean dilemma. But there is another side that needs to be addressed.

I heard a local commentator question whether the Soviet Union would have fallen eventually, most likely much later, without President Reagan's staunch anti-communist policies. Yes, after destroying much of Europe and most likely the United States. As I remember reports from that time, when the Soviets finally gave up on their communist ideology, many Soviet military units in East Germany were firing up their tanks in expectation of the final conflict. Because that is the nature of the communist ideology. It is a faith in struggle. And it is faith in material; how many tanks, planes and missiles one has.

Without President Reagan's rebuilding of our military, placing Pershing Missiles in Europe and the promise of economic prosperity by opening to the West, the communist block surely would have taken the military option. Words mean something whether written, built into a world view, or spoken.

So what Needs to be done in regards to North Korea? First of all President Obama you should have part of the stimulus package repealed. I suggest the monies going to ACORN, now trying to change its name, and its affiliates and putting it towards the missile defence program. Putting the program on overdrive.

And as I went straight to the point in the past, asking President Obama not to be our first affirmative action President early in his administration, let me do the same now. It seems some are talking around the issue but not willing to say it outright. We need to respond to North Korea's threats with the promise of nuclear destruction.

A U.N. resolution stating that the use of nuclear weapons, or chemical and/or biological weapons, in an offensive capacity by the North, will be responded to swiftly and decisively. Giving the United States, in concurrence with South Korea, authority to respond with all means necessary, most notably the use of nuclear weapons, to destroy the North Korean Military and its central government within 48 hours of the beginning of hostilities.

Now if you can get that resolution passed President Obama, that would be a world changing accomplishment.

This is the language they understand. This is a message not only to North Korea but the entire world. It will strike fear into the hearts of tyrants and embolden those fighting for freedom everywhere.

Hollywood and North Korea

How much do any of us know about North Korea and why? Hollywood aspires to reveal and inspire in tragic big name films such as "Schindler's List" or "Empire of the Sun" among others. But how often does anyone in Hollywood take on the immediate relative issues of good and evil in the world? Oh... I forgot that several films vilifying, to one degree or another, the United States in the Iraq War, a war we are still fighting, have come out already. What were their titles? ...

Now only after two western journalists have been sentenced to twelve years of hard labor are some coming forward to expose the horror of North Korean labor camps. Camps that have existed for some six decades. It is easy to engage issues of unimaginable evil from a distance but how many have the courage to confront existing tyrannies such as North Korea in the here and now? The North being part of a peninsula filled with stories of unimagined suffering, families divided and heroic attempts at escape. Much has been discovered on the lives of Japanese citizens kidnapped and taken to North Korea to train spies to speak faultless Japanese. A friend of mine told me of a unit buddy of his who disappeared on the DMZ, a place where the gun fire has never ended, under the siren call of a North Korean agent, promising love and free land.

I'm confident contemporary heart wrenching stories exist among the Christian populations of China, in nations such as Iran or on the plight of women in general in many parts of the world. Sounds like loads of material. Material perhaps not suited for today's top movie stars, unless we want to go back to the days when Orientals were often played by Caucasians on the big screen.

Cinema is a powerful medium, and small scale attempts have been made against contemporary wrongs, but too few have the fortitude to bring the power of Hollywood to bear on the deepest darkest issues of today. To challenge true evils rather than largely manufactured ones attributed to those known to have little or no inclination to strike back. But what can we really expect from Hollywood when our news media barely covers the issues? A media, now rallied by our own President, more intent on tearing down this nation than taking on the tough issues.

Yes, such movies can be provocative. But when has the North not been threatening war? The truth is the military, just as everything else in North Korea, is based on delusion and terror. (our nation is already embracing delusion) Part of that delusion being fueled by the apathy they see in the world towards their misconduct. The North Korean military holds its relevance based only on the ability to launch tens of thousands of missiles an hour over several hours and now the possibility of nuclear weapons. Our own troops in Korea describe themselves as a speed bump, but they are the most highly trained, prepared and best equipped military force the world has ever seen. A power that has never been matched when the resolve was there. As someone who has paid a bit of attention to the world and history I see a shredding machine where nothing comes out the other side, if our President doesn't get in the way. And North Korea knows it.

A few Comments

There are some issues that I really should comment on, but I feel like dropping a few mundane notes.

Many are critical of those who post on the Internet anonymously. Well if you searched this site you would find my Facebook badge on the bottom of the page or you could e-mail me and ask who I am. So am I writing anonymously?

By using a pen name, perhaps from a gaming site, that is unique among millions you can google Leonid480 and find direct links to my blog posts, not to mention comments I have made across the Internet. In this case you can follow a political/human rights persona I have created in some detail. Otherwise, using my real name would only lead you to social network sites.

Some ask; Why would people want to put so much information about themselves on the Internet? I would ask; What kind of world are we all destined for? Isn't it a world where all is revealed? Where we have to face the realty of our lives? Why should this world be any different? Can it not be beneficial to have ones wrongs known? If one has a conscious and desires to make things right, do we not all believe these things are to be dealt with in this world? How many bad people have been caught, taken out of the general public, because of the Internet?

In this nation of liberty and free speech should one be afraid to be punished for sincere upright opinions expressed on the Internet? My brother told me he thought my blogs may not be helpful in my job search. So one is to make oneself what one is not, put on a false representation to fit a companies desires, give up one's individuality to get a job? To conform to political correctness?

People are able to be who they are or want to be (which can be just as revealing) on the Internet. It can be a very powerful tool, even on a personal level, for freedom, for advancement and for promoting the right and exposing the wrong.

The Obama Doctrine

There is a difference between making recompense for the wrongs of the United States and attacking its reputation for ones own personal political agenda. As the influence of the United States spread around the world decisions were made as to whom to support in any particular country or region. The results often left our allies' opponents in dire circumstance facing calamitous consequence at the hands of those we supported. Actions that by our own nation's standards were/are unacceptable. So there is always room for apologizing, as President Obama is so fond of doing.

We also have to recognize that the United States has been the greatest force for good in the world. To demean its image in the eyes of the world can only be counter productive. Hindering the benefits that our nation brings, and strengthening the resolve of those filled with discontent intent on destruction.

And President Obama's policies are no different than others in the past. He too is building alliances. Many have associated new legislation in Afghanistan restricting woman's rights with Obama's policy to consolidate power to ward off Al Qaeda and Taliban opposition. Now in Egypt there are fears that Obama will 'inadvertently bless repression.' The left typically attacks their opposition for results they have no control over from decisions made, in ignorance or otherwise, in pursuit of noble goals. In the end we will all reap the benefits and suffer the consequences together.

Memorial Day

A day to honor those who gave their lives. Those that believed this nation was worth dying for. But before they died the gave themselves up to honor their mothers and fathers, their elders, the traditions of their faith and nation. They valued what came before and looked to preserve it for an even greater future that they would never see.

They submitted their wills to a greater good, to their comrades in arms, to be trained and molded into a martial perfection. They died in hapless misfortune, brilliant glory and selfless deeds, many never to be known, but all for the same purpose.

And in return we honor them today. In a world where technology and life advancements bring the world closer and closer together. As we can touch the lives of our fellow man on the other side of the world in an instant. Where our shared humanity and desire for peace can grow to take precedent in the hearts of all humankind. In most part due to this great nation for which they offered their lives.

Yet we live in a nation presently dominated by a generation that rejected those who came before. Ripped at the fabric of past traditions and morals and proclaimed themselves enlightened above all..., just because. They criticized their parents, our soldiers and rejected God's ways. But what should we expect from a society in which God is more and more a concept rather than a reality, where we all exist out of mere chance and life is valued only if it is not deemed too burdensome.

This is a day to honor and preserve what made this Nation great. An opportunity to revive and carry on the values of those who came before. To remember that this nation is too important to this world to let it slip into inconsequence.

Good Policy?

I was looking for the show "Lie to Me" since I heard FOX was not running the President's Press Conference. In the end FOX had thrown in with the other national television stations and carried the conference, sharing the loss of millions in advertising dollars for the networks.

(our local FOX station went with the conference while the national broadcast was "Lie to Me")

I was initially dumbfounded by the President's remarks on Pakistan, a nuclear power. Spoken with a tone that does not come through in the transcript. Maybe I was being a bit too hard. Here is what he said:

I am gravely concerned about the situation in Pakistan, not because I think that they're immediately going to be overrun and the Taliban would take over in Pakistan. I'm more concerned that the civilian government there right now is very fragile and don't seem to have the capacity to deliver basic services: schools, health care, rule of law, a judicial system that works for the majority of the people.

And so as a consequence, it is very difficult for them to gain the support and the loyalty of their people. So we need to help Pakistan help Pakistanis. And I think that there's a recognition increasingly on the part of both the civilian government there and the army that that is their biggest weakness."

This is a good outline of the battle parameters. But was it wise to criticize the Pakistani government in a way that compliments the strategy of the Taliban, or any other radical Muslim group? Could President Obama have been more complimentary of the Pakistani government's efforts or image before its own people as he was speaking on the '100 Day' world stage? If you understand how these radical organizations operate maybe you would agree with me that this was a shot in the arm for the Taliban cause.

I went to a lecture of an urban geographer on Beirut some months ago. I found it fascinating how President Obama's statements shadowed what she explained as the operations of Hezbollah in Beirut, or Lebanon in general. In fact fighting corruption, providing social services, education and even running public works are all part of the program whether it is Hezbollah, Hamas, Fatah or the Taliban. All terrorist groups bent on the destruction of the western world, most notably the United States.

I was listening to the BBC World Report on the radio the other day and, though it is not in their print, they linked the recent 'woman's legislation' in Afghanistan with President Obama's policy. That is that under Bush democratic practices and freedoms were emphasized while under Obama the consolidation of power to keep al-qaeda and the Taliban suppressed take priority. So supposed torture that saves lives degrades us all but suppressing woman's rights is good policy? But I've wandered away from the topic.

Swine Flu

So is it time to panic?

In Milwaukee some years ago now a popular ethnic grocery was raided with the veracity of busting a crack house filled with well armed gang members. The drugs they were after; antibiotics. Antibiotics sold without prescription off the shelf as is common in Mexico.

Yes, it was a Mexican grocery and though the flu is a virus and not bacterial the use of antibiotics kills good bacteria, weakening the body, and hinders the normal development of the immune system. Is it a mystery why the number of deaths are far larger in Mexico? Could it be that some took antibiotics when the symptoms presented? We have one death in the U.S. so far that I have heard of. A young Mexican child who was brought to the country for treatment.

Friend or Foe

I attended the Tea Party in Madison Wisconsin today. A semi-impromptu gathering of the masses who are beginning to sense that our governments fiscal foolishness is unsustainable. Signs of the new Internet age. The picture above is of a Homeland Security vehicle as it circled Capital Square. Sorry for the picture quality; it's from a cell phone. There were also at least three officers from Homeland Security on foot.

There were to be buses from the parking area but the organization was blundered and we decided to walk. We were told it was 1-2 miles; more like at least 2 miles. We arrived just in time after a 40 minute walk while many who waited for buses didn't arrive until half the event was over. Eight shuttle buses, five of which decided to gather at Capital Square in the morning rather than the parking area at the Alliant Energy Center. The upside being a parade of protesters along one of Madison's major streets.

They say there were over five thousand of us Right Wing Extremists there. Half the Capital Square was covered. And they were people of all ages from the elderly to young children.

Well, if this doesn't start things to change....

The Greatest

In Boxing that would be Mohammad Ali. I came home late one weekend and found a documentary on television. It was called "A.K.A. Cassius Clay" filmed in 1970. That was when Ali had lost his titles and his riches for refusing to submit to the draft. He didn't run away to Canada. He didn't refuse to report to the draft office. He didn't say he would refuse or even resist any punishment that the authorities may dictate. And though he spoke out against what he saw as wrong, he didn't tear down but looked to build up. He gave a positive message of hope and empowerment. He was admired by black radicals and white leftists though his words matched neither. He won the respect of all. I had tears in my eyes when I watched him with the Olympic torch in 1996.

Whether you see his stand against what he saw as an unjust war, Vietnam, as protected by freedom of faith or not makes no difference. He was a man who accomplished greatness in his life. Reached the top and knew it. But more importantly he was a man who was right, not Wright, with God. A rightness, or righteousness, not determined by one groups narrow view of salvation but by knowing the real God and man's place in His world. He was right with God before he became Muslim and he was right with God after he became Muslim. Though he was condemned he was free, for God is the origin of freedom and without God there is no freedom. Something the founders of this great nation understood.

If you know the Bible, a nation failed or prospered depending on its leader's standing with the one God. Humility before God is what I saw in former president Bush and admired. It is why I was his supporter even when he was unpopular and I didn't necessarily agree with everything he did. It is why I believe our nation was protected from further terrorist attacks.

I would argue that a proper view of manhood comes from being right with God. That the development of civilization itself can be linked to a growing awareness of the one God. That this nation of the United States is so immensely blessed because its founders acknowledged God and His glory inherent in every man.

Is a man who trashes our Constitution, who cannot understand its spiritual foundations. a man right with God? Is a man who speaks out to support the practice of allowing babies born alive during an abortion to be killed, a man who is right with God? Is a man who sought out and admires radicals, Marxists and communists, who pursues failed socialist policies a man right with God? Is a man who sees government as the solution and seeks to extend its powers into every aspect of people's lives a man right with God?

I pray for President Obama everyday. Because more than his policies, the fortunes of this nation, and much of the world, rest on President Obama being right with God. And that will be reflected in a change of his policies, or should I say the rejection of policies of the likes of Pelosi and Frank. That's how I see it.

The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) is weeks gone by now. I was inspired by the profound insight provided by Rush Limbaugh, his speech being broadcast on his radio show, but then had to ask; Why is it so profound? Delivered in a professional, intelligent and informed fashion highlights why he is who he is. But why are the ideals he upholds and built his presentation on seemingly so rare? I thought it was what the United States was always about. Concepts of virtue and common sense every good citizen should understand.

More telling though was the 14 year old conservative, Jonathan Krohn, who also spoke at the conference. How can a movement that is looking to turn the greatest nation, still, in the world back to its founding principles, looking to turn back the tide of big government, entertain the workings of the mind of a 14 year old? It is not only because the principles are so basic that they should be common to everyone, it is because the debate between conservative and liberal is becoming more and more the debate between theism and atheism; God or no God. For only one view can be correct and naturally determines the other to be false and in conflict with how the world, the universe itself, works. That is why the political divide has become a contrast between the spiritual and material, the moral and the immoral, a culture of life and a culture of death, vision and delusion, and literally competence and incompetence.

Let's create some metaphors to illustrate the point. Let us say every man lives in a glass house. A greenhouse, but you can call it a crystal cathedral or build it in any form you desire. And let us say God is the sun, that life giving force upon which we all depend. All the greenery and animals inside these greenhouses are the only products of ones life that are truly under your control.

The man (or woman) who recognizes the reality of God and his principles keeps his glass clean and cares for the plants and other life by keeping the soil productive and providing a proper supply of water. His garden prospers. In an ideal world others would look to emulate his prosperity, to follow his example. Creating their own gardens with each reflecting the unique nature of its creator in infinite variety.

Those who deny God, who deny that the sun has anything to do with how one's garden grows, fail to follow these principles. Refusing to keep their glass clean, then watering too heavily to try to compensate for the lack of growth, they only make things worse, using up valuable resources. They become bitter and look to blame others rather than acknowledge their own shortcomings.

They eventual rise in complete rebellion of God, or the sun in this case, rather than turn back to sound gardening practices. They paint over their glass, blocking out the life giving graces of the sun, with bright shiny colors, beautiful images and attractive slogans. They call the productive selfish. They promote unrest and preach calamity. They throw stones and mud to demean those who believe in the life giving forces of the sun. Using the true principles of good gardening to destroy the prosperity they feel they were denied, blind to their own hypocrisy. Always drawing attention away from their own gardens of rot and death, with big smiles and a facade of being in the know. Promises of making everyone the same by punishing those who have, targeting not only wealth but any expression individuality itself.

They create a labyrinth of words, theories and images in contradiction to the true principles of good gardening. A maze that leads nowhere, that they claim so complex only they have the ability to navigate to the promised riches. Claiming themselves not only above the laws of good gardening but man's laws as well. They claim the debate is over because any intelligent investigation would uncover the ruse.

I could go on. So easy a child could understand it. Just look at the political reality of our nation today. The grabbing up of mass resources through unending layers of taxation. A democrat party Congress in conjunction with the media targeting individual private citizens and corporations. An empty suit as a President and a cabinet literally containing criminals.

I wrote a piece "The Perfect Storm?" wondering if the people of this nation care. If they can recognize the vapid empty policies wreaking havoc on this nation and make an informed decisive response to the liberal delusion. But this isn't a storm. Our nation is in a tail spin, plummeting uncontrolled towards the ground. The pilot has been gagged and bound and the time is now to stand up, take control of the plane and set the pilot free.

We talk about being bipartisan. Respecting the views of those who don't agree; working together. But those in charge are leading our nation to destruction and I see only one movement that can save this nation and that is the conservative movement. We cannot afford to work with the other side. They are poised to literally take out their opposition. Unless democrats literally break from their party, forming a new party in rebellion to the liberal leadership, it is the time to neither give or take quarter.

I recently heard a BBC World report on the global financial crisis that was spreading the blame to rating agencies. Those who gave a AAA rating to the mortgage backed securities. Many want to point fingers at the financial institutions and most notably Wall Street with its supposed inherent greed, but I suggest a different culprit that built and thrived off the sub-prime loan/mortgage frenzy. That house of cards that any one with a brain or a basic ethical foundation in their lives could recognize. Many have alluded to it, pointed to aspects of it, but I have not heard anyone clearly place the blame for the crisis where it belongs, on the democrat party.

Yes it has been stated that Barney Frank and the like have opposed legislation that could have headed off much of this crisis, but why do we give the democrats any credit for their claims that it was about giving people affordable housing? What has been the mantra of the democrats beyond their empty claims of helping the little man?

The government, namely democrats, have been complicit in artificially raising our property values in order to collect more tax dollars. It was the case in the past here in Milwaukee that housing was appraised every two years. That was changed to every year not too long ago as housing prices seemed to be on an endless rise. Greater than a one time commission received by a realty agent are the tax dollars collected as the sale of the home drives up the values of every property in the neighborhood. And these taxes are collected year after year after year. Did your tax rates go down respectively as prices climbed? And are your assessments going down now that the bottom has dropped out? ...

I contested the value of my house one year and they came and inspected my property. They dropped the value back a bit, far less than it should have been, but then the next year just raised it twice as much. When I tell this story to my fellow citizens I need only open my mouth and they finish the story themselves. They have all had the same experience. In my case the assessed value is ridiculous. ...

And why bail out these monster institutions like Fanny Mae or even Citi Group that are so large that they are reaching monopoly status? Why not sell off the assets and let the over all corporations go under as they deserve? There are hundreds if not thousands of smaller banks across the country that are not in trouble and could buy many of these resources. But how difficult would it be to artificially inflate housing prices without a central institution to work through? ...

Yes the democrats hold the blame. They have purposefully put forth policies to artificially raise property values to collect more in property taxes. To grease the wheels for those who contribute and grow government to where the majority are working for or are on the government dole. (Is there a difference?) To build their socialist ideal. It reports how thousands were killed and fewer than 20 survived. What it didn't report is that he also regularly killed off, 'purged', the guards. And while it reports that the camp, S-21, was formerly a school, it failed to report that he himself was a school teacher. It makes you wonder how such monsters come to be.

A few years ago there seemed to be an excitement over the concept of amnesty, concerning the possible advancement of the reunification of Korea. Having lived in Korea, and considering myself a student of the human condition, I wrote a rough outline of how I thought the North could be opened and reunification brought about. I promoted the idea of sanctuary and a guaranteed political identity. Central to my outline was the demilitarization of Korea.

North Korea has shown complete disregard for the rest of the world. Violating treaties and breaking promises on a regular basis. Speculation over the military's role and who really rules over the North are put forth as explanations. Just as likely it is a ploy by the North to keep its adversaries confused. But what is the military? It is the defender of the State. Called to great sacrifice and indoctrinated in its own self importance and world view. An element of their society to which most of its resources have been directed. Can any agreement, a smooth reunification, be accomplished without a recognition of their identity and position?

Much of what is known as 'the wild west' in American history is attributed to the influence of the Civil War. The mass of soldiers with their corresponding tendencies and problems turning to a rough and tumble, often criminal, lifestyle. Hitler certainly saw himself and his fellow soldiers as being betrayed, and we know what came of that. I'm sure you can find numerous parallels throughout history when those devoting themselves to their nations are discarded when no longer needed.

Sanctuary is different than amnesty and would take many party members and military officials out of the picture over much of the North. By using the structure of the remaining military as the framework for reconstruction gives the current leaders of North Korea a level of comfort, as they surely will feel some ability to control what is going on through the military hierarchy. Yes, I would suggest that all reconstruction, retooling, rebuilding of the North be done by the military. A military that will be demilitarized but whose units and chain of command will be kept intact. In essence, transplanting the units and their commanders into cities, towns and villages to lead the reconstruction process. To oversee and administer the influx of planning and resources from around the world. In Iraq the literal laying off the the Iraqi military has been recognized by many as a grave mistake. Many of its former members turning to militias and the insurgencies and denying the U.S. vital human infrastructure to hold control of the country.

It also implants a social order into a society that will find itself dazed and confused when the iron fist of communist rule is removed. It will be a framework for local political parties to develop. A danger may be predetermining leadership under the new democracy. As the military leaders will be central in all development occurring in the North they will naturally be attractive to voters unfamiliar with democracy. I would argue that many of these will find themselves turning away from communism when faced with freedom and prosperity.

But most important is to give an opportunity for the communist government to make its case. Give its justifications, no matter how weak, for the horrors that will be revealed by the opening of the North. As we see the dismal reality of the North, ideological rebuttal will fall on deaf ears. Without giving people the opportunity to explain themselves they tend not to give in, to change, to repent. By highlighting the sacrifices and devotion of the military and the extreme lengths they went through creates an opening for the North to make its case.

Soon after the birth of the (H)-istory channel it earned the nick name (H)-itler channel, focusing strongly on the Second World War. And were we not all fascinated by the documentaries? What I am suggesting is major media coverage of the North Korean military. Massive, yes massive, documentation of the military from before the war to the present and through its disarming. Stories of heroism and sacrifice, of the reasoning and fears that drove them and their entire economy to create a literal military state with nearly the largest army in the world. A military with approximately 49 active troops per thousand citizens. Stories that I am sure will fascinate the world.

One may argue that more than a communist state, North Korea is a military state and nothing productive will come from an approach that disregards their relevance.

See, there are plenty of more worthy concerns and causes around the world for the resources of this nation to be directed towards. Why do we want to invest in programs that take away our freedoms and economic prosperity?

Too Big To Fail?

President Obama's election is without a doubt a profound historic event. It opens the minds of the people of the world to the true virtue of Americans. That they will elect a black man. That we are not racists and look down on the peoples of the world. It closes the book on a past that tore this nation in two from its inception. President Obama's election is not the change, but the validation of change that has already come to pass. The fan fare over his inauguration was well deserved. (though the coins and plates before he even took office too much)

Yes, for the most part we have closed the book on racism. Racism exists only in the lunatic fringe. In a small part, inherent in the minds of those who grew up in the time of segregation. A generation beginning to pass away. When I was young my earliest memories of racial strife were the riots in the street. But with that, the movement of blacks and whites together fighting for civil rights. It was a time when the black people in Milwaukee all lived in one neighborhood. We would drive through that neighborhood on our way to the recycling plant to turn in our old newspapers. The first black family in our neighborhood moved in across the alley, and we quickly befriended them as the rest of our neighbors continually harassed them. I was very inspired by the fact that President Obama could be elected and at the same time I disagree with his policies. Completely!

In some way still, this is one of the final chapters in bringing this nation together as one, in overcoming its now greatest divide. Though it is related with race, it is the battle over ideology. A Battle between socialism, already in practice in our inner cities which in many areas are mostly black, and a more mainstream America. A mainstream that has socialist elements but is much more strongly conservative than any want to admit. And the rightly named porkulous bill (term attributed to Rush Limbaugh) puts that battle front and center. A bill more divisive and destructive than doing nothing at all. Yes President Obama, destructive.

I do not want you to fail President Obama. Your election is truly too significant. But defeat of your policies is not equivalent to failure. Showing competence and good judgment, taking a stand for what you believe and fighting the good fight will be highly respected no matter what the outcome.

Please President Obama, take a lesson from Bush 43. When President Bush first entered office he spent five months putting together an energy bill. A bill that if passed would have staved off the short lived energy crisis of the last two years. A crisis still hurting people in high heating bills and could quickly return. It was defeated in most part.

End this joke of a bill, the porkulous, even if it requires your veto. Take it over and take the several months required to do the job right. Make it yours. I believe the economy will act with confidence immediately. Then defeated or not, whether you stay true to what looks to me like Marxist tendencies or not, you will inspire confidence. It will be good for this nation and give you the platform to take over the leadership role this nation holds in the world.

It's time to man-up. Please don't take us backwards by being our first affirmative action President.

A middle aged unemployed Korean man has been identified as the financial prophet Minerva. A blogger who has eerily predicted the financial catastrophes of the last several years. After urging his readers, in the hundreds of thousands, to abandon the Korean Won and buy US dollars, he was arrested and charged with 'spreading false rumors damaging to the government's reputation in the world financial market'.

Can we arrest President Obama for damaging the government's reputation by appointing a known tax dodger as Treasury Secretary? Because someone is an insider does it make him the best person for the job? Certainly the great potential of every human life is apparent as we find a seemingly simply man able to comprehend world financial markets. A man sharing his gift freely, trying to help his fellow man avoid financial pitfalls.

Minerva points to a door long open that many have been ignoring or misusing. The great potential of the Internet to "change everything." A forum for the common man, that sees the world more and more as a single community, in contrast to the entrenched forces of government that are mired in the divisions and proclivities of the past. Governments looking to shut down voices they feel threaten their standing, on the Internet or otherwise.

Left wing-nut bloggers have known the potential for some time with a network of sites all feeding off each other, creating a false impression of legitimacy. My wife often searches blogs for recipes and topics that interest her. Postings by other women for the most part. She commented to me the other day that many of the bloggers are Mormons. I try to find the most informative and responsible links for my own blogs and have started questioning my visiting and posting on blogs I don't agree with. Does it do any good? Am I just giving them a false relevance? I try to visit and link to sites that are professional, responsible and/or run by people I find truly knowledgeable on a topic.

We all share in what happens on the Internet. We give the Internet its character or lack thereof. Minerva was thought by many to be a government insider or someone well seasoned in the markets, perhaps a retired professor. This impression may have been misleading, but revealing his identity, history and motives should be enough to put the proper perspective on his posts. (if you don't know who I am, you don't care) To prosecute someone for sharing a passion, for seeking to help his fellow man, on the Internet is a danger to us all. An assault on all our freedoms. A door that shouldn't be opened.

A Lazy Saturday

One recent lazy Saturday (U.S. time), as I putzed around the house, I overheard much of a documentary on Harry S. Truman and found the similarities with Barack Obama, our President Elect, striking. … Huh? Truman and Obama? But everyone is comparing President Bush with Truman and President Elect Obama with Abraham Lincoln. And I had to hear this ineptitude not only on our own public radio, but the BBC.

If you want to compare anyone with Abraham Lincoln it should be President Bush. They say President Bush will rise in stature as time passes just as Truman did. Well the comparisons end there. In fact, the same most likely would have been said of Abraham Lincoln if he had not been assassinated. While President Bush is criticized for his supposed violations of civil liberties and handling of the war in Iraq, he is a saint and genius compared to Abraham Lincoln. The suspension of habeas corpus was just one of Abraham Lincoln’s acts of suppression on the citizenry. Failed military campaign, after failed military campaign, jeopardizing our union, was only turned around when Abraham Lincoln appointed a commander, General Grant, who was willing to bring a blood lust scenario to the entire breadth of the war. Doing whatever it took to bring victory.

Truman was originally a Senator, and though Roosevelt’s Vice President kept completely out of the loop. With little knowledge or experience, he was thrust into making one of the most momentous decisions in history. The use of the atomic bomb, judged as ultimately saving untold numbers of casualties, certain if the war had continued.

President Elect Present Obama also enters office with little experience and in the midst of a war. His resolution seems clear for Afghanistan, but what happens afterwards? The strategy in Afghanistan is already being implemented under President Bush. And much like the use of the atomic bomb, nearly a forgone conclusion.

Truman also entered under economic turmoil. Now some try to claim it was the mass government investment, during the great depression and war that rescued the economy. They ignore the post war labor unrest. The demand for much higher wages after the deep sacrifices that made the war effort possible. The lack of housing for our returning soldiers, sailors and Marines. If the manufacturing capacity of the rest of the developed world had not been destroyed, could America have experienced the prosperity some try to attribute to the government?

The Truman Doctrine and Marshal Plan opened the era of the cold war and stifled communist expansion. Obama’s position with the terrorist Islamo-fascist threat and our supposed (world) economic crisis looming parallels Truman. As President, Obama's policy decisions in these regards will be the main determinant of the lasting legacy of his Presidency.

That, and how he deals with the unexpected. What will be President Elect Obama’s Korean War? That crisis that brings him under severe criticism (if that will even be allowed in Obama’s case) and political influences running contrary to the right course of action. As the million Chinese volunteers were depleted and Ridgeway could advance nearly at will on the Korean peninsula if allowed, Truman whimped out to political expediency. Condemning millions of North Koreans to death and leaving us with one of the greatest threats to peace and more recently nuclear proliferation. I truly hope our soon to be President Obama realizes the magnitude of the consequences of his decisions.

Now… how is President Elect Obama like President Lincoln? I guess I am just not as smart as those fancy journalists.

'The Shell Game' or 'The Price of Liberty?'

A local Talk show host, Mark Belling, in his weekly column of January 7th wrote a piece on the rise of local taxes. So much for the Obama tax relief for the middle class since most of these taxes hit people of lower income harder than anyone else. They include:
-raising the cigarette tax (again)
-a hospital tax
-a gas tax
-a junk food tax
-an increase in the local sales tax (1% increase proposed)
-an increase in state income tax
-an increase in fees across the board (not to mention new fees)

The state gasoline tax until recently went up automatically without a vote every April 1st. Yes April Fools day. The Governor took credit for stopping the atrocity, but now claims it was a great wrong that he will right by reintroducing increases in the state gasoline tax. This is the same Governor, Jim Doyle, that went before Congress pleading for funds to cover a deficit, lamenting the loss of several thousand state jobs. Well he promised to cut three times as many jobs during his last campaign. He also promised he would not run again but the media, about nine months after the election, started writing about his run in the next election without any prompting, at least that the public could see. And it has been taken for granted ever since that he would run.

The property taxes on my home have more than doubled in twelve years. And my property values continue to increase, yearly, as far as the city assessor is concerned, despite the market crisis. My water bill has risen over 50% over the last 7 years and fees for snow removal, formerly covered by traditional taxes, added to it. Vehicle registration fees have risen and they introduced a tire tax.

My Alderman, Micheal Murphy, sent me the revenue figures for 1999 and 2008. Based on information that came with my property tax bill 'fees', 22% of revenue in 1999 ($900.8mil) produced $198.2 mil of revenue. In 2008, 32% of revenue ($1.285bil.), they produced $411.2 mil. When running the numbers on residential property taxes the numbers are nearly as bad. No revenue increases from commercial property taxes though. That is because tax policy has been driving business out of the state far before any supposed financial crisis.

Of course we have the Federal Government to bail us out from our deficit and to lift the burden from the middle and lower classes. To produce new jobs. Which is the whole essence of a shell game. The promise of profit without having to produce anything. What does government produce?

Nothing! The more resources the government collects the less we all have. It really is that simple. President Elect Obama has called for a stimulus package to improve our roadways and upgrade our education infrastructure. At the same time he has called for an end to ear marks. Several have already pointed out that that is what his package is, a collection of projects formerly funded as earmarks.

Our roadways in Wisconsin while suffering in some areas are overbuilt in others. There was a time where they didn't need federal funds for our roads outside of the interstate system. Light rail advocates keep a proposal alive that will increase the tax burden on the area and is just not needed. Most people travel less than 25 minutes to get to their jobs. Our education system has continually failed to bring results despite ever increasing levels of investment. Now the system in Milwaukee is bankrupt after building projects that were not needed. Much as many of the projects President Elect Obama wants to fund will not really be needed. Yet the demand for more tax dollars ever increases, the promised results never appear and there is no room for cuts... well ... except for school vouchers. But that is the goal of any tyranny, to control the education system. But now I'm getting ahead of myself.

My wife and I run our own businesses. Tax freedom Day for us is well past April since we have to pay the full burden of the self employment tax (social security) about 15%. We have to wonder if social security will even be available when we retire, which may be at 80 by that time. Yet those in the public sector are able to retire at 55 with full pension if they get in 25 years. And for those in the education system here in Wisconsin, they can then move to another school district and work there while still collecting their pension. And it looks like the government may very well pick up the UAW pensions that keep the big three from being competitive.

We pay all our bills, usually with some crisis wiping out all the headway we make against our debt every so often. And we have plenty of debt. Yes, we benefited from the lax lending practices of the past. Of course the bid on our house was only $30,500. As those who mismanaged their funds in the big financial institutions get bailed out the relief is extended to those who fail to pay their bills. I guess I'm just a schmuck for not letting myself shirk my responsibilities. And we don't take food stamps or other aid. I believe I have a responsibility to the greater community and that it would be a misuse of funds. But we can always declare bankruptcy just as any other company or individual could.

I do take medical relief, though we put quite a few dollars into the system every year, one of the reason for our debt. I try to find out how much I will be billed for doctor ordered tests (I am uninsurable) and can never get an answer even if, when where and what will be done are clear. I hear that some tests cost anywhere from $600 to $3,000 depending on where you are. Of course one of the reasons for the high costs are rules and regulations dictated by the government and the mass of paper that needs to be processed to conform. And that cost will sky rocket if the government takes over health care. .... Producing?

If government takes over health care how many of us will 'not' be on the government dole? The thought brings to mind movies such as "Logan's Run" or "Soylent Green." Already in England and other national health care systems patients are being designated as not worth the resources to be treated. A culture of death that began with the legalization and 'promotion' of mass abortion.

And it brings us to the ultimate shell game. The idea that we have a two party system. We have a one party system with rogues spread though out, mainly in the republican party (they're called conservatives). When the majority of all voters are depending on the government (which produces nothing) for their livelihood is it any wonder that the republicans have become as big of spenders as the democrats? Not just government jobs but the majority of construction, research, arts and now our financial institutions and automakers are dependent on government funds in someway. And the sucking sound just gets louder.

Every communist/socialist system exists as a single party system to hold control over its population. The education system used to indoctrinate and monitor the society. As our political class holds more and more control over the lives of the population tyranny is not far behind. As everyone grabs for their own piece of the pie they are blind to the reality that the pie is destined to get smaller and smaller. And the availability of resources (there will be no real prosperity) will be confined to a smaller and smaller ruling class that already realizes it cannot tolerate dissent.

Illinois Senate Seat

When Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (bluh-GOY'-uh-vich) was arrested and charged with corruption, and as his party turned on him leaving him out in the cold, one thought came to mind. Does Alan Keyes still have his residence in Illinois? And how can you charge someone for selling a seat before it was appointed? (OK, that's two thoughts)

There is an appointment that no one could claim was tainted; Alan Keyes. Though they might claim it was done out of spite...... Yeah Rod, stick it to them! Those corrupt hypocrites!

Though Keyes ran against Obama for Senate on the Republican ticket, he has had his falling out with the Republicans and ran for President as an Independent. Surely the government cannot produce any tapes alleging he sold the seat to Alan Keyes. Or any other Republican or Independent that is qualified for the job.

The Debates are Over

After the last Presidential debate, I forgot which channel I had on, one of the commentators said Senator Obama surely looked Presidential.

... Really?

I thought of the debate, before my time but often talked about, between Nixon and JFK. I don't know how you make a black man look pasty faced but they pulled it off. I saw a couple of side shots of Senator Obama at the beginning of the debate but don't recall seeing any later on. Obama hunched over the table looked far from Presidential especially in contrast to Senator McCain's flawless posture and perfect makeup. And I couldn't take my eyes off his immense ears. Must have had something to do with the background. Oooh! Now I've crossed the line. I mentioned Obama's ears. Well .... if you think that's crossing the line? ... Keep reading.

McCain had Obama on the run. 'Joe the plumber' hit Obama hard exposing Obama's socialist agenda, and Joe is paying the price. But the trade talk turned into a fight, Obama siding with Venezuela and McCain with Columbia. That would be the Venezuela where Obama's friend Ayers gave this speech. The Venezuela throwing its support to FARC. Obama's talk of death squads and assassinations of labor leaders smacked of cold war rhetoric, where as McCain's talk of promoting trade with Columbia to spur development conveyed ideals of a world of mutual prosperity.

And here it comes.

It would be unfair of me to make comparisons between Senator Obama himself and the Soviets of old, North Korea and even Nazi Germany. But not unfair to make those comparisons with the left wing of the democrat party that has chosen Obama as their figurehead. A figurehead that meets the lefts ideological ideals.

Have you noticed how figures such as Stalin, Kim Il Sung or now his son Kim Jung Il were or are beyond reproach? If you believe the North Korean media, the states propaganda arm, Kim Jung Il would put Tiger Woods to shame on the golf course. And of course they were or are blameless in any of the atrocities that just don't exist because the media never cover(ed) them. How similar to the partisan medias coverage of Obama. Our mainstream media literally ignores Rezko, Ayers, ACORN, and Jeremiah Wright, not to mention questions of his early life. And have you ever seen a picture of Obama smoking a cigarette? Any of the above would be front page news if Obama were a republican. If the mainstream media truly covered Obama, truly investigated his life, if he had won the nomination his party would be desperate to find a way to get someone else on the ticket. Rather Obama appears ordained, immaculate, the agent of change and hope and hopes for change we can all hope for. His every thought genius, his every action flawless.

But that is an indictment of the mainstream media, not Obama. After Stalin, the Soviets made sure no one person would hold such power again. The leaders that followed were more figureheads chosen by the larger party than an individual dictator, though the ruthlessness continued. This is Obama's position in the democrat party. A party ruled by a far left fringe. But how unfair of me to make such a comparison. Yes, the democrats are far from any atrocity committed under these fore mentioned communist systems, but ..... look what is happening to 'Joe the plumber' for asking a man who wants to be his President a question.

And as the left continually cries for separation of church and state, a phrase not found in our Constitution, they have created their own religion(s). Manipulating religion much the same as was done in Nazi Germany to control the masses and promote their agenda. Joe Biden's comments on same sex marriage in the Vice Presidential Debate bearing witness. Biden stated that it was one's faith community that was the definer for what is marriage and not the government. Not really true. You need a license to get married; issued by a state. 'Traditional marriage' has been institutionalized in such fashion over the millennia because civilizations have recognize its benefits to society.

We have the black liberation theology of Reverend Wright promoting racial/class strife, or the various forms of liberation theology around the world spread to support the communist cause. The attack on our traditional values with radical churches embracing homosexual unions. Where God is more a concept than a reality. A political base being used not only to support the lefts agenda but as justification to vilify those holding higher values. A base used to influence school curriculum and indoctrinate the youth of our nation. Every communist state or tyranny has official churches and uses the education system to hold control over the family structure.

The question is often asked how any people allowed themselves to fall victim to such oppressive regimes. Many criticized those behind the former Iron Curtain as having the government they deserve. For not standing up and throwing the bums out. Well the Hungarians did in 1956 (October 22). And many hoped the United States would come to secure their independence, but Eisenhower attempted to work with the U.N. rather than take decisive action. If we give up our liberties, our Constitution, to a godless socialism there wont be anyone to come and help in the fight to take back our nation.

Senator Obama may be nothing more than an opportunist, possibly with sincere ideals, but the wave he is riding he cannot change. It will do what all waves do, as any godless socialist system will do what every godless socialist system has done.

Where is Wall Street? You know, the scapegoat for the democrats lending scandal. And how do they feel about 'spreading the wealth around?'

Where is Senator Clinton from? Senator Clinton who set up a residence and was elected straight up. Senator Clinton, that woman who was snubbed as the V.P. pick.

What do people in New York think of Chicago, home of the White Sox, Cubs, Bears and Tony Rezko? Tony is such a neat name.

Is New York an ACORN... Sorry, I mean a battleground State?

What ethnic group has their Biblical homeland being threatened with annihilation by Iran that has a strong presence in New York. The leader of which Senator Obama HAS promised to meet with without precondition.

Are white people the biggest racists in this nation? Is racism really an issue at all for white people? Maybe white guilt. I mean, are all the other ethnic/minority groups, that still swarm to New York, going to vote for an unqualified black man because he is a minority? Or will they be disgusted that he can be elected president just because he's black?

I have a brother that from the beginning has never seen anything but a landslide against Senator Obama. Senator Obama who has done near nothing but made himself all black (except in commercials aimed at white people).

Now the talk is that the election will be over before dinner. I believe it very well could be. I just have this feeling about New York.

I am preparing myself for a trip down the rabbit hole if Obama is elected. Both because no sane society would elect such an unqualified empty suit, and because of the socialists policies he believes in have been failures everywhere they've been tried, including at Plymouth rock. But I don't think it will happen. I just have this feeling about New York.

I have some things to say about that last debate but you'll have to wait.

The Perfect Storm?

As Mercury, Venus and Mars align on this historic date seven years after the attacks on the Twin Towers, one naturally wonders the cosmic significance. The attack on our civilization intended to destroy. Not just the Twin Towers but our culture itself. A culture, built on Christian civilization, that has been the greatest force for goodness in the world. Yes, a civilization built on Christian morality. For that is the struggle for the advancement of civilization. The struggle between good and evil. The struggle for higher standards of goodness and values that drives man forward and when lost sinks civilizations into the rubble of history.

The attacks on our culture are from within as well as from abroad. Moral relativism, the devaluation of life and break down of the family structure all symptoms of the disease. As we are accuse by our external enemies of spreading immorality around the world, it is those internal enemies, the cause of the said debauchery, that align themselves with those seeking our destruction. A moral decay which was the stated goals of the former communist block to weaken the United States for its eventual defeat. A reality that only those who have descended down the rabbit hole of liberalism could possibly deny.

A struggle that has divided our nation and most clearly portrayed in this Presidential campaign. For those of conservative bent, the complete moral, ethical and intellectual bankruptcy of the left, or democrat party, has been apparent from the days of Bill Clinton if not earlier. The media, or as some have called it the fourth branch of government, academia and a professional political class that have little knowledge of how the real world works have kept the incompetence alive. Much of the blame falling also on republicans entrenched in this political quagmire.

Until recently, democrat party domination was predicted for this upcoming election. Despite a do nothing democrat run congress with historically low approval ratings and a Nancy Pelosi who has shown complete disdain, if not ignorance, for good and proper legislative procedures all looked lost for the republicans if one listened to the media, including right wing talk.

Much has changed with the nomination of Sarah Palin for Vice President on the republican ticket. Not only is it in complete contrast to the snubbing of Hilary Clinton by the democrat party and its support of a complete incompetent in Nancy Pelosi, it is part of an almost fatal and complete alignment of circumstance that under normal circumstance would lead to the democrat party's destruction.

Yes, Sarah Palin is not running for President as is Barack Obama. A Barack Obama that has averaged about 40 days of work in Washington a year for his over $160k salary. But her qualifications are under attack, and if Obama, seeking a higher office, cannot match her qualifications how is it not an issue? Facts and a logic that may be ignored by the media and mindless leftest blogs, but not missed by thinking Americans. Falsely accused of being part of an Alaskan secessionist party and questioned for her faith background we find Obama trying to downplay his ties to William Ayers of the weather underground, terrorists who bombed buildings seeking to overthrow our government, and his twenty year devotion to Jeremiah Wright's church, not to mention his Muslim education as a youth. Being a member of the PTA and mayor of a small city obviously doesn't compare to being a community organizer in Chicago for ACORN. The comparisons go on and on and on and show Obama to be the empty suit he is in contrast to the real people of John McCain and Sarah Palin.

The Obama-Biden meltdown is complete with their own vindictive nonsensical attacks of desperation. For those with operating mental faculties one might expect an easy victory for John McCain and Sarah Palin. The left wing media is in economic collapse and turning to left wing bloggers as source material without even doing their own fact checks. But is America really listening? You never know what will happen tomorrow not to mention what lies in the hearts of others. 'Is America really listening?' Do the good people of the United States care?

Whether through prayer, political activism or sharing one's views with your neighbor it is time to take a stand. To take a stand for what's good and right and reject the inane. The contrast between the two sides could never be clearer, but nothing should be taken for granted. Civilization, our Christian culture, was built upon great sacrifice and acts of will and equal efforts are required to protect it.

"Where's the Change?"

An expression playing off the old Wendy's commercials that I have coined months ago on the comment stream of a liberal, excuse me, independent blog that I often visit.

As Barack Obama makes his debut as official Presidential candidate of the democrat party, I have to ask again;

"Where's the change?"

After a series of empty associations, here and around the world, with great leaders of the past, supposed and otherwise, Senator Obama chose the anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial to receive the party's nomination. Yet his comments on the very special event were brief and trivial, almost an afterthought.

As everyone was looking for specifics to his campaign of change, Senator Obama gave the same old same old liberal democrat demagoguery. The change he desires is not something new, but what the democrats have been seeking for decades. Complete domination of this nation. To impose their policies of higher taxes, big spending and to create an electorate that is completely dependent on the government. To put us all on trains, to give us all jobs that they will chose, sorry, provide for every American and nationalize big health care. Claiming republican policies a failure despite the reality and continuing their campaign against a third administration for President Bush.

Obama's lack of experience, not to mention past associations he is trying to play down or hide, were covered with his mastery of rhetoric up to now. He speaks very eloquently and can truly inspire. The problem is he cannot do what Bill Clinton could, and that is to make people believe anything. His vision for change falls flat.

In fact, Obama's overtures of respect to John McCain highlighted Senator McCain's own record of reaching across the isle. The kind of Change I believe most American's pictured Senator Obama was speaking about.

"Where's the change?"

It is in the republican party. Not only does McCain have a record of working with his opposition, he has shown the same compassion towards those in his own party with the selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate. The conservative woman Governor of Alaska who truly has started on the bottom and risen to Governor with a record of achievement. A record of ethical reform in government and reaching across party lines. Everything true Americans were hoping for from Senator Obama, who has revealed himself not up to the task.

Many speak about those moments in history where they remember exactly where they were when it happened. That is how I felt when John McCain announced his choice for Vice President. When John McCain introduced Governor Sarah Palin he introduced us to the future of the United States. That is how I felt. I don't know why, but I found it hard to hold back tears as both of them spoke this morning.

Blood for Oil

Thousands are being killed due to the imperialist policies of Russia. For lands far away with cultures not our own it is easy to rationalize away the seriousness of the conflict. It is an uncalled for human rights violation of the highest magnitude and cannot be tolerated. Action must be taken in swift and powerful fashion, including sending troops to Georgia.

Out of the confusion of who is to blame for starting the hostilities, one thing is becoming clear about Russia's invasion of Georgia, that it is about oil. The control of Caspian Sea oil, Europe's only lifeline not previously under Russia's control. Beyond the cold war tactics of beefing up Poland and the Ukraine, which we absolutely should do. Other options include the liberation of Cuba, ousting of Chavez, friend to Iran, and incursions into Iran, with its growing alliance with Russia, against forces supporting the insurgency in Iraq. Cold War tactics worked in the past.

The empty avenue of diplomacy may be attractive to those who fear conflict, consider the United States the problem or believe the American people wont support further military conflict, but there is another action we can take that is not confrontational. To drill like there is no tomorrow. (Obama will give us alternative energy sources if elected)

The continental shelves, ANWR and helping South America to develop new found massive reserves would plummet the price of oil, oil that Russia is using to fund it's new found tyranny. It would give us energy independence, at least for the hemisphere, reduce our own energy costs and open new supplies for the European market.

All this together takes away what Russia considers its prize. The pipeline in contention will hold greatly reduced value, their goals to reoccupy Eastern Europe thwarted and their government will be embarrassed in front of their own people. If we are absolute in our determination to stand against tyranny we may lose some provinces in Georgia and a pipeline but could guarantee the freedom of Eastern Europe and make advances for freedom in our own hemisphere. It could also spur political change in Russia itself. In many ways this is a great opportunity if our leaders have the moral fortitude and will to take advantage of it. To take the path of weakness will lead to the re-enslavement of Eastern Europe and further conflict if not outright war. That's just plain history.

You would think the Left would be all for my drilling logic. It would give them an altruistic reason to change their losing policy of no new drilling and take away a winning issue from the Republicans in the next election. They could claim new and productive approaches to resolving conflict without violence. Of course the Left and reason have little in common.

'Thank God for Great Men' or 'Changes'

Today is an important anniversary for Americans. The anniversary of an event that has helped shape contemporary America and put front and center, in both media and politics, a figurehead of conservative values. That would be the the 20th anniversary of the Rush Limbaugh show. Many congratulations and dittos to Rush. A man whom through continuous propagation of the conservative cause has turned the hearts of many to what is right.

When did I become a conservative? It was when the then President Jimmy Carter spoke to a national audience on television declaring that the United States was no longer the worlds leading superpower. A single event, the surrender to the Soviet Union, opened my eyes to a new reality more than inflation, gas shortages and tax rates over 70%. More influential than the disgraceful retreat from Southeast Asia that led to the deaths of millions or the devaluation of life under the guise of medical science in the legalization of abortion.

What followed was Ronald Reagan with his undying devotion and faith in the United States as that 'city on the hill'. My first opportunity to vote was the privilege to help elect him to his first term. A decade after his election the economy was booming after massive tax cuts, the communist block states were free and the stare down with the Soviet Union virtually over.

Now the United States finds itself on the road to victory in Iraq and in its war against terrorism thanks to our current President George W. Bush. Yet, those who opposed the Vietnam War and like minded individuals are still trying to convince us that the United States is the problem, not the solution. That Iraq was a mistake and we didn't win (the Iraqis miraculously had a change of heart) and should get out. Like the past, donations from Buddhist Monks and our military secrets from Los Alamos going directly to Beijing, along with the now open propagation of socialism, being a covert virtual surrender to China. The democrats express joy and support for rising gas prices, as they seek world wide government control of all oil and natural gas production. The party that again proclaims the virtue of raising taxes, and wants to suffocate our industries with restrictions, fees and penalties in response to the junk science of global warming.

After the re-election of Bill Clinton and its aftermath, I could not see how such a vapid and bankrupt on every level democrat party, attributes now embodied in Nancy Pelosi, could continue. And now, how an empty suit like Senator Obama could lead pundits on the right to fear drastic expansion of the democrat party in the upcoming election. Their victories in the last election were a shock to me, but I have faith in my fellow citizens that they are smarter and more aware than the results would imply. But could I be wrong? Could the lefts propaganda machine (an essential part of any tyranny), the main stream media, be just too powerful? Where many are convinced through sound arguments, perhaps some require a clear illustration, a singular event or turning point. In the United States that may be rising energy costs and the democrats refusal to respond to the crises, but there is a much larger event on the horizon.

In a week the Beijing Olympics will begin. The Chinese communist state on display for the whole world to see. A state with a rising middle class and growing spiritual thirst. A state that will embarrass its people in front of the entire world with its tyrannical policies for the Olympic Games. An event that will deliver a double blow to the pillars of the socialist movement in the United States as well as jeopardize the communist party rule of China.

The first pillar being the media. The planned draconian methods of the communist state will fall most heavily upon them, the communist state being clueless to how the rest of the world will view their actions. The complete control of movement, and what one can see and report, along with the severe consequences for defying the state will open many eyes in the media and the public in general.

The second pillar being global warming. The intense pollution that many predict will hinder the performance of the athletes, some planning to wear specially designed masks for their events, will portray the folly of the issue. China, which surpassed the United States in emissions ahead of predictions and is in no way slowing down, is exempt from any restrictions in the Kyoto Protocols. (I noticed my google search on the Kyoto Protocols had the vast majority of top sites originating from China)

Some say the Olympics have no draw since the end of the Cold War rivalry. China's own stated policies on operations and the focus on pollution and global warming will make this Olympics one of the most viewed ever.

Independence Day. The day when our founding fathers decided to, if necessary, take up arms against the British Empire.

Concerning the recent Supreme Court ruling on an individuals right to bear arms I have to question the character of gun control advocates such as the Mayor of the District of Columbia and others that gun violence will increase with the Supreme Courts ruling. All studies prove otherwise.

I see this trend even among some Police Chiefs. Some police officers may consider it easier and safer if they could just crack down every time they see a gun, all being illegal, but is that a healthy mentality? The police against the public with no necessity to trust in the inherent goodness of man. All acceptable behavior codified. No powers of discernment or judgment required. Just enforcing the law that is becoming more and more intrusive....

A day to remember the courage of our founding fathers and trust in the wisdom they sought from God.

Blessed are the Peace Makers

When Jacob went to meet Esau, he sent before him all his possessions to assuage his brothers anger. Esau, waiting with four hundred men, was moved to tears and embraced his brother.

Recently I heard a radio talk show host, among others, comment that military destruction was the exclusive solution to the Islamo-fascist threat facing the world. He rejected the concept of a caller that 'violence begets violence' in our fight against terrorists. I do not believe that to be completely true.

After the great acts of devotion to God accomplished by Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Moses God lead the people of Israel into Canaan and had them summarily destroy all the peoples living there. A contradiction or bitter reality of the ways of the world?

God established His people. A way of life pleasing to Him and important to His providence. The standards were set in most cases in a way we consider noble, selfless, reflecting what would be called true religious devotion. Standards contradictory to the ways of the evil world which in turn sought their destruction. So to protect His people God sought to remove all influences that could corrupt this way of life and built a nation to defend it.

Much of the world has advanced to where such brutality has been deemed evil. The Judeo-Christion traditions no longer seek to justify actions such as the Crusades, the stoning to death of sinners, or institutions that oppress the liberties of others. Great peace makers of every background have made their marks throughout the world in the last century. Yet our way of life, a shining hope to people all over the world, is still under threat; still needs defending.

Not simply our political system but the moral and ethical standards that have been achieved through a long and bitter, often blood filled, struggle since the origins of man. True peace makers seek peace through promoting the highest ideals of selflessness and moral virtue promoting a higher standard of life most notably through example. A false peace maker stands for nothing, but simply seeks to tear down those who have come before. Attacking the imperfections of others as if they were magically immune. Claiming a moral authority based on standards they never achieved or even considered striving for.

We need the true peace makers to bring a real and final solution to the problems facing humankind. And we need to defend the way of life that allows those peace makers to flourish not only in the United States but around the world. Today is a day to honor all those who fought and died to defend our way of life.

A Must See

I said to my wife one Thursday; “We need to go to a movie this weekend.”

“Speed Racer!” she said.

Yes, I was raised on "Speed Racer," often running home from school to catch an episode, but that wasn’t it.

“Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed,” a Ben Stein thriller, is the must see I was talking about. An extremely well thought out argument, in words and images, on the topic of Darwinism. From the cell and basic starting points of life he analyzes the science, clearly illustrating that the door to an intelligent cause is far from closed. Mr. Stein then takes the debate into the field of metaphysics where the majority of the battle truly rests. Where science began.

But most importantly he describes how scientific theories relate to our daily life. Beginning with how established scientist were discredit and faced discrimination for a purely scientific conclusion, that an intelligent cause is a viable theory. And continuing to Darwinist influences on movements in Europe and the United States that history has judged as evil, if not insane.

Few seem interested in commenting on the movie. A testament to the controversy surrounding the issue. Nothing from ‘Ebert and Roeper’ and the review in the Chicago Tribune credited to an Orlando newspaper. The review being more a reinforcement of the movies premises than an intelligent critique.

The dangers in how we use science parallel dangers in how we use religion. You would think that the Soviet Union, the birthplace of the communist state, would have been a big proponent of Darwinism. Not exactly. They held to the Lamarckian view of evolution. The theory that actions, responding to ones environment, stimulate change; genetic alteration. Hence justifying labor camps for anyone who didn’t fit the communist mold. This is my own observation outside of Mr. Stein’s scope, but in an age where scientific theories, such as global warming, are being used to argue for drastic changes in how we all live “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed” is of immense relevance.

Ben Stein asks himself what he can do in this fight for freedom. He made the movie. What can you do?

As Speed says in his new movie when asked by his father if he believed driving a car could change the world; “Maybe not, but it’s the only thing I know how to do, and I gotta do something.”

Go see the movie. It might not be around much longer.

Less Than Five Months Away

The thing that bothers me most about the Bush administration, along with the devaluation of the dollar, is their unrelenting devotion to corn based ethanol as a viable energy alternative. Its failure as a fuel, whether in its lack of efficiency, or embedded energy greater than that produced, negates its value as an energy resource. Ethanol depletes our water supplies, is detrimental to the environment and contributes to global warming through changing land use to meet demands for corn. Most disturbing is its effect on global food supplies and contribution to inflation worldwide. While some farmers are happy with the rising price of corn others are in distress over growing feed costs, creating a no gain sum as a voting block.

I recently came across this article on China's precarious economic circumstance and had to ask if this is the goal of our ethanol or monetary policy. China has built a vast navy. Is building extravagant embassies among the Pacific Island Nations, more impressive than any complex in those nations, while buying all their available land as it looks to the oceans to quench its thirst for energy and raw materials. It has been fanatical in its desire to keep its people fed, as hunger has been the most persistent cause of revolt throughout its history. To this end it has turned to South America, buying vast tracts of land, pursuing their ideological goals of world domination in the process.

Food alone will not be enough to assuage the desires of China’s massive population. They have raised their material standard of living; many have gained access to higher education, not dreamed of in the past for some classes, and acquired a taste for western culture as well as products. Now facing the potential of massive inflation its people, appeased by ever improving conditions could find their lifestyle quickly slipping away. And what buried resentments exist over the brutal crack down at Tiananmen Square in June of 1989?

With the 2008 Olympic Games now less than five months away the Tibetan people, suffering cultural genocide, are protesting in the streets not only in their homeland but also around the world, calling for the nations of the world to boycott. But would attending the Olympic Games be more counter-productive for China than a boycott?

The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres recently played an exhibition game in China, playing to a 3-3 tie. Afterwards when Dodger pitcher Chan Ho Park was approached by a group of Korean fans for autographs the Chinese security forces quickly blocked their approach refusing to allow any autographs be given despite promises to the contrary. If you think this an isolated incident you are truly ignorant of the nature of communism. Expect this scenario to be played out a thousand times over for the entire world to see during the Olympic Games and outright detention and arrest for media personnel.

Add to this the ecological nightmare of China as the world debates the effects of greenhouse gases on our environment. (Some athletes are expected to fly in only for their event and fly out immediately afterwards because of the air quality in Beijing.) The working conditions that the Chinese might find improving yet abhorrent to the rest of the world, the quality of it products and produce literally killing people around the world and China’s complicity with North Korea in the suppression and murder its own people on display for the world to see.

The 2008 Olympic Games will be a showcase for China. A showcase of what an atheistic communist regime looks to bring to rest of the world. A system of tyranny that many in the free world thought left in the scrap heap of history, what others hope will never return and still others fight to be free of. Their arrogance, greed and faith that fear and intimidation are the ways of the world will hopefully be the downfall of the communist party in China. How to make it happen with minimal cost to life and how to use the Olympic Games to promote this down fall are questions I hope governments, religious leaders and athletes around the world are asking. One thing we can all do is pray. Recognize the threat and opportunity before us and pray every day.

There will be no Valentine's Day in Saudi Arabia and if you live in Kuwait , Pakistan, Malaysia or India the holiday has been disparaged for many years. Catholic Schools in Australia have often had a problem with the Holiday.
There are problems with the modern common practice of Valentine's Day. Is it really something children should celebrate? Especially as public school administrations work to eliminate abstinence education in our schools?
The heart of the issue is the dignity of women. The great contradiction being those cultures which hold women in the lowest esteem protest the loudest and seek authoritarian control while the United States, the greatest advocate of freedom in the world, allow special interest groups to dictate the morals of their children. Morals that do not reflect our Christian culture or any religious culture. That conflict with the values of most all the families in this nation. And then we wonder why the rest of the world accuses us of spreading depravity.

The Candidate of Change

When Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee won the Iowa caucuses of their respective parties my first reaction was to go to Barack Obama’s web site and find exactly his stand on the issues. The first black candidate for President put forth by a major party, a landmark event if it comes to pass. When I reviewed the site of the candidate for change I asked, “Where’s the change?” In fact Obama’s stance on the issues represent the most liberal wing of the democrat party. Those who have fostered the divisive partisanship that keeps our country from advancing into the new century. Change?

We had a candidate of real change. His name was George W. Bush and since being elected he has been an example of the change others only talk about. A successful Governor of Texas recognized for working well with democrats. Though criticized for creating his education bill with Senator Kennedy and his flub of nominating Harriet Meyers for the Supreme Court they are examples of his willingness to reach across the aisle and take the views of others seriously even if they don’t agree with his own. A man putting to work all the resources before him, including his Vice President breaking the mold.

The real change we need is not something new but something old, something eternal. Integrity, good character and moral fortitude are being reestablished in the White House. What our founding fathers hoped would guide this nation. For anyone to call for change and then ridicule and besmirch our sitting President is hypocrisy not to mention an illustration of ignorance of the change that is needed. Or is it political expediency, the same old same old?

On the issues, the first initiative in office by President Bush was to spend months creating a comprehensive energy policy that would have increased our domestic oil and natural gas production and allowed the building of new refineries among other things. If not opposed by the democrats we would be far from an energy crisis today. President Bush showed himself quite capable in addressing all the issues facing this nation. Though no one can agree with all his stances there is plenty of detail to talk about. Of course President Bush is not running for President. But rather than stand on the merit of their own views the democrats have chosen to exalt themselves by belittling those around them recognizing President Bush as their greatest target.

Senator Obama brings much to the table despite his inexperience. Transparency is a powerful stand he can build on. His personal background, his interracial family and experience as a minority, gives him an insight we should all value. He has worked hard to take the high road in the political bickering among his own party. I could never vote for him based on his liberal policies but if he were to win the Presidency would have hope for a return to civility and accountability in government, real change. At least until this most recent democrat debate.

More than the typical one line attacks on President Bush, including his energy policy; the debate was a wink-wink nod-nod for the party to fall in line. Not quite a love fest, the orchestrated rekindling of friendship between the candidates was nothing less than a concession by Obama to the Clintons, with the final question on a shared ticket the crescendo. Planned to head off any divisions in the party that could jeopardize the black and women voting blocks. The equivalent of a good old-fashioned purge or Cultural Revolution one might have found under a communist regime where the party, the gathering of the enlightened, the elite, is most important. With government as the tool.

Remarks by Bill and Hillary Clinton, belittling Barack Obame based on his race, are of little surprise to the right and a challenge to the democrat party to revive a forgotten practice. That would be to think things through. The self-proclaimed advocates for racial equality have shown again that their tactics are nothing but a ploy to manipulate the masses. None the less shocking, or not, is the refusal of pundits both black and white to acknowledge that racism is dying in America. Barack Obama’s percentage of the white vote clearly increases as age decreases. His age and his message are a factor, but that message should be inspiring democrats of all ages. Could you imagine the melee if, as great numbers of republicans hoped, Condoleezza Rice were running for the republican nomination?

Yes racism is an evil still in our society, but clearly recognized and literally withering on the vine. The greater threats are the evils we refuse to recognize. One such evil is religious bigotry. Is it a surprise that what has been called the evangelical conservative counties in Florida went to the (secular) media darling John McCain? Some evangelicals have endorsed Mitt Romney while others oppose him on supposed religious grounds (WWJD). And those seniors that thought Bob Dole (73) in 1996 was too old to be President seemed to think otherwise for the 71 year old John McCain. However most of those seniors didn’t vote this time around.

Racism and Bigotry are the real issues. Vices some find convenient tools to achieve their goals. Florida has shown that ‘Super Tuesday’ is far more about the soul of this nation than the issues. Christians, at times eager to cry foul when they are targeted, may consider my view that religious bigotry on the part of Christians as a powerful force in this nation nonsense, baseless conjecture. A hundred years ago, most, including Christians, likely considered not having segregated drinking fountains nonsense and looked on with disbelief at those that may have questioned the practice.

If real change is to occur in this nation, who better to bring that change, to understand the issue, than those who have suffered the oppression and persevered with goodwill towards their enemies? Those who never lost hope or love for their nation and built success, aspiring towards the greatest position of political power in the world.

Hurricane Katrina victims are suing our federal government for $3 quadrillion dollars, a sum hundreds of times greater than the gross domestic product of the United States. Some wonder whether our government will put a price on the Katrina destruction.

I say for those asking such an outrageous sum from the government, or all of us tax payers, their citizenship should be revoked. Time to end individual self exaltation and promote ones responsibility to the larger culture. Our government has gone above and beyond in its responsibility and to seek further compensation is akin to suggesting the government is responsible for the weather.

Or so they say. I only saw part of the Republican debate and though substantive on issues I'd like to give my personal impression on how each candidate appeared to me.

Senator John McCain, with his puffy jaw, always looked and sounded to me like he just came from a visit to the dentist. No one likes to visit the dentist. I often wondered whether it was related to his distinguished military service.

Senator Fred Thompson looked like the old man on the mountain. He just had to posture himself to speak and his opponents appeared humbled in expectation of his forthcoming wisdom.

Congressman Ron Paul impressed me as every ones favorite grandfather. Kind, caring and knowing what he believes. There were moments when he made me wonder if it wasn't time to hide his car keys.

Former Governor Mitt Romney had presence. He was just plain Presidential in manner and tone.

Former Governor Mike Huckabee; I feel his sincerity in seeing us all as God's children. And that is what he looked like. A child with his hand caught in the cookie jar.

Former Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani for me is someone straight out of the movies. You know those old war movies. The ones with the guy who can do it all, who can get anything you can imagine and even some things you can't.

The old adage has been proven correct. No one will stand up for you if you don’t stand up for yourself. And Mitt Romney’s most excellent speech, extensive and complete, proof of his understanding of what this nation represents. Lauded by most on the right as near genius and an awakening of the founding spirit, it is difficult to refute his passion for our nation. Some on the right criticizing his lack of recognition of atheists and agnostics and on the left the idea that “freedom requires religion” fail to recognize the faith and age from which our nation was born. An age where reason, the self proclaimed foundations for atheists and social engineers, was dominant. An era that gave birth to the scientific process.

Mitt Romney’s speech illustrates what makes the United States a truly Christian nation, unique in the world. A nation exalting “piety and good character", or love of God and neighbor. A nation intellectually grounded in sound reason, in the real world, and not a world where a correct doctrine determined ones value. A world honoring strength of will and acknowledging the temptations all good men, regardless of their particular faith, conquer to do what’s right. Where raising good strong families meant something. Not today’s secular world, the La-la Land of relativism, where self-justification trumps ones responsibility to his fellow man or the larger society.

Yet are any immune to the passions of intolerance? Mitt Romney perfectly placed his speech between Mike Huckabee’s miraculous surge and the backlash against his liberal policies. Christians blind to his record frequent radio talk shows proclaiming ‘Tax Hike Mike’ a true conservative. All likely cut from the same clothe as the 28% who claim they would never vote for a Mormon for President because they believe the Latter Day Saints to be a cult. Unfortunately few completely grasp what has made the United States a truly Christian nation.

There are convincing claims against the Sam Brownback campaign for a whisper campaign against Mitt Romney in Iowa. The whisper campaign against Sam Brownback by Huckabee supporters much more shadowy. In the fervor of political ones-upmanship Huckabee dropped an unsolicited misrepresentation of Mormon beliefs saying; “don’t Mormons believe Jesus and the devil are brothers?” Mike Huckabee apologized for his comments to Mitt Romney and claimed no responsibility for comments demeaning the Brownback campaign. Will he apologize to another perceived enemy, Rush Limbaugh, for remarks attributed to his campaign? If he is elected President, perhaps Huckabee need schedule a monthly press conference to apologize for offensive statements to world political or religious leaders.

When I first heard of the Huckabee campaign I was intrigued and hopeful. Soon disillusioned by his ethical shortcomings and lack of conservative positions. The Bible clearly spells out that a busybody and gossip is unqualified for Christian ministry, which may be why Huckabee went into politics. While many are eager to credit Romney for his understanding of our founding fathers, few are willing to point out bigotry, covert or otherwise. Perhaps we need a more palatable word to describe the dynamic.

And I just want to say Merry Christmas.

Will Smith's blockbuster new film broke box office records for a December release. No help will be coming from the largest market in the World in its quest for Cinema fame. China has banned the film. In fact it will not be approving any U.S. movies for release for at least several months in a supposed trade dispute. Or as the Chinese would like to frame it; to protect its local film industry.

I am sure Tom Cruise's new film "Valkyrie" will also be a threat to its 'local film industry', being released shortly before the 2008 Olympic games.

Global Warming is Cool

A new report has come out that the Arctic Sea is refreezing at a record pace. I had commented on its melting in the past and suggested politics rather than an understanding of the scientific process gives the CO2 hype unfounded recognition. In the first article it recognized the changing wind patterns, as does this new report, as a cause for the melting but suggested that the warming influence of the sun on open ocean would lead to a complete melting of the arctic ocean. Reading this latest article I had to kick myself for not seeing the obvious.

This is elementary school science. What is the arctic circle? It is the line where for at least some part of the year, if not half, there is no sunlight and even when there is the angle would cause most of the light to be deflected. Further ice in extreme cold acts as an insulator. Any heat in an open ocean with no sunlight would quickly dissipate into the atmosphere as the report confirms and the results are clear. Very extreme ice formation.

Wow, the earth works in a harmonious balance. Even more basic and the first introduction to science children receive, or received in the past, is the interaction between plant and animal life. That is the interdependent dynamic of CO2 and O2. And trees (and other plant growth) have the tendency to multiply without man's intervention. So how is CO2 a pollutant?

The overload of issues, immigration, Iraq, terrorism, social security, etc, not to mention Darfur, China, Chavez, Putin in Russia, North Korea and the list goes on, has given us too much to think about. Have we all become intellectually lazy? To any educated individual with a trace of common sense the intellectual fraud of global catastrophe from man-made CO2 should be clear. Evidently many journalists don't fit that description. Not that man's impact does not need to be studied. We should seek to emulate the harmonious principles under which God created this world for us to enjoy.

Those claiming authority over the populations of this world are meeting in Bali to talk about global warming while the contradictory evidence grows daily to its supposed cause and dangers. They should know better. These are people who represent those in our own country who have failed to address real problems such as social security for decades. On the international level represent nations that in many cases oppress their own peoples and feed off political corruption.

And we are supposed to trust them to tell us how to live? The divide in leadership is between those who will take a responsible view towards the science vs those who look to enslave the world by hyping questionable science as fact. Issues of honesty, integrity and good character. The Global warming issue should not be seen as a threat but a tool to weed out incompetent leadership throughout the world.

Yes, I will be writing about Mitt Romney's speech.
