The leader of the Aum Sinrikyo 'Cult', responsible for the Tokyo subway sarin gas attack killing twelve, has lost his final appeal and will be executed by hanging within six months or shortly after the trials of his fellow conspirators is complete.
1989 cult members were responsible for the murder of Tsutsumi Sakamoto and his family. Mr Sakamoto was a lawyer opposing the Aum Sinrikyo 'Cult'. Six years before the gas attack.
The cults teaching and actions towards one enemy, combined with an apocalyptic view of the end of the world, are a deadly formula in the stream of Charles Manson.
The great irony is, Christianity which puts front and center the highest ideals of loving ones enemy also has the most apocalyptic view of the end of the world.
